Shimada tour vs modus 120 vs super peening blue
Have Shimadas in my wedges - seem nice, feel nice. A bit hard to judge with wedges, though. SPB are fantastic as are the Modus'. SPB smoother, lower. Modus, high, low spin, long bit firmer feeling (I'm using TX). I would just choose based on the ball flight you prefer. Both are some of the best out there. Can't go wrong.

Question - JDM - best materials but lacking in innovation compared to US equipment...

Good, I'm glad I'm wrong, actually.

Question - JDM - best materials but lacking in innovation compared to US equipment...
JDM gear is undeniably made of better materials, across the board, but one thing I've noticed is that you never see any JDM companies utilize aerodynamics in their driver designs, or any of the physics proven concepts you see with US equipment. I'm not a big science guy but they say you can't argue with physics, so it's tough to say aerodynamic designs are a gimmick. Unless I'm mistaken, I can't think of any JDM drivers utilizing this technology... Why is that? Also, the new 915 Titleist drivers and the Nike drivers utilize the bower slot/bar thing which is said to act as a spring... things like that. I keep seeing a ton of nice JDM drivers being released but nothing too groundbreaking... Am I a stupid asshole and don't know what I'm talking about or do you guys somewhat agree? I realize Japan culture is that of a purist approach so I can understand why a lot of companies don't like adjustable drivers or moveable weight technology or Callaway's moveable plug thing but I'm mostly just referring to aerodynamics and things like that, that aren't really too gimmicky... Thought?

Honma TW717 455 Driver
Ya I love the look! Was a bit thrown off that the 455 version is made at endo, of better materials, though. The other two aren't.

TM 430 SLDR is going in the Trash. Idiot for putting non JDM in the bag. Now, my nominees for a new JDM driver. Help please.
Really? Wow, thanks! I tried having a driving sent to canada to demo a few weeks ago and they tried to charge me $130 in duty and import tax to release it so I had to send it back without evert trying it. I might take you up on it when I get back down to California, though! What are your thoughts on the driver?

Is the face still slightly closed like the egg 7?

Got the Diamana X so that's a start. Basiclaly I only swing it about 115-120 now. My left shoulder is partially torn and I haven't been able to lift weight or play a lot of golf. I have the Maxima Type V and other than the slightly closed face, it's the best driver I've ever used for sure. I snap hook the odd ball with it. So basically if there's a driver that can match the performance or exceed the maxima, but with a neutral face and maybe more of that Epon metallic crunch we all love, that's the one I want! So Kamui KPX for lowest spin/launch, .388 and Modart for best feel, Epon for control. This is tough. Right now I'm leaning towards the .388 because it seems very unique but I'm worried about forgiveness and it's only in 9.5 and also the Modart but again, shallow face. KPX or custom Kamui 3rd or 4th.

So EMS - great "technity"-like feel. Low spin, forgiving, neutral? Best epon driver for my needs then?

Hmmm... Haven't heard much about it... Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it. Anyone else think this is a good choice?
