  1. I posted a review of the US 430. In short, long, nice feel, not overly forgiving, and such low launch the whole "loft up" thing is very legit. I've never hit a driver I can't get airborne but this on 9* with a low launch/spin shaft is a lost cause. Cool part is you can loft up to 10.5 and get near perfect trajectory with much more better ball control. If it's windy, keep it on 9. Very versatile.
  2. I always find trying to reposition an closed face leads to big time inconsistency with not only my grip but with the angle of the face.
  3. Look like something you'd find on the charity rack at d**k's.

Not sure, waiting to see what comes out in 2014.
  5. I would pay a lot of money to have this done on my Ryoma Maxima and Egg Seven!

If it were a perfectly neutral face (it's a bit closed) I'd never sell it. I'd use it for windy days and any time I fee like hitting low piercing bullets.

I'm selling mine right now. It's a great driver. VERY low spin, mid launch.
  8. Think these two are lower than the new Speeder and the Z9003?
  9. I agree. I think the SLDR 430 may be a little on the less forgiving side but that's why they make the 460 SLDR. It's a phenomenal driver, guys. Hate to say it but it really is.
  10. So Miyazaki Black lower spin than Motore Tourspec?
  11. Try it, you'll see.
  12. Don't care about feel, don't care about trajectory, don't care about anything but what shaft produces the lowest spin in golf. What's your vote? Much appreciated.
  13. Probably the best US driver of all time and easily among the best Japanese drivers of all time.
  14. After reading mygolfspy's thorough testing of 30 different drivers and the SLDR owning them all, I went to Golfsmith and spent two hours hitting it against the Bertha Alpha and several others. I'll be honest, Taylormade is annoying. Typically I hate them. US drivers have no prestige to them, I think we all know this. With that being said, the Taylormade SLDR 430 is f**king phenomenal. It and the Maxima are the best two drivers I've ever hit. Feel - excellent. Distance - insane, forgiveness - very good. Workability - excellent. Looks are the only thing any rational person can dispute. It may no have sex appeal or prestige but if you want a driver that just straight up delivers you're a fool if you don't take a long hard look at it.
  15. I love the look of these. I have their utility from two years ago and it is sensational. Feel is outstanding.
  16. Will these new shafts be suited for me, Chris?
  17. Extremely nice gear.
  18. Hey man, no different than paying 50 million for a piece of art. If you can afford it and want it, no harm done.
  19. Nice but that's just getting a little crazy. Why not use s20c?

    Hmmm, interesting.

But all things being equal, meaning all pure as can be shots, a blade will feel the softest, then a player's cavity, then a muscle cavity, etc, etc, correct?
  22. BTW, the Callaway Big Bertha Alpha, although not JDM, has some serious R&D behind it and so far the reviews on Tour is that it's absolutely fantastic all around. I'm definitely picking one up.
  23. I have a UST Attas GoGo Tour 7X waiting to go in something. This looks like a good driver to try out. But with it only being Feb in 2014 and the Japanese Golf Show just around the corner it's too early to pull the trigger on anything. Looking forward to Tourstage's 2014 offers, as well as Epon's, Onoff's, S-Yard, etc. So many choice drivers and shafts these days. Out of curiosity, Chris, Tario, which wedges are forged by Endo? Are there many?
  24. Great! Lets hear how it performs!
  25. Right on. I'll let you know when I'm there next.
