LC great post. its so true that whatever gives you confidence is a much added advantage. i too wanted to know about the sound/feel of one without an insert but with slit oppsosed to one with a slit only. i guess your putter is really the best of both worlds. i am getting accustomed to putters with a sound slot and am loving it. hopefullu one with an insert will be a nice addition down the road but for my current putting style it is an unecessary. c

# 3 wood located. still looking for a 5/7

the beads boron looks beautiful. would you know what the head weight after the tungsten inserts are? also you must have the softest feeling putter after the premium zone inserts, slit line and mamiya FF shaft:)

you guys are making me so jealous. i have just purchased 3 putters in the last two weeks two of which are custom built by a US company. however i still find myself lusting for a Gold's. been putting this project on hold way to long. its just one of those things i will not get over til i finally pull the trigger. something on the lines of LC's second putter in teflon black putter, sound slot, and sole tungsten weights would be awesome!
-
LC those are so beautiful, i admit i am particularly drawn to your latest creation. it looks sooo clean. i would imagine a floating face is soft enough but having an insert as well would be something else. also may i ask if you selected the sole as the location of your tungsten inserts? just wondering if this location is better than tge face? thanks

been looking for the perfect fw shaft, have tried several in the past mnth: quattro, pt, machine, axiv v. so far my favorite by far is the pt series. the roddio have similar specs to my pt7 so im willing to test it for curiosity's sake. i hate seeing idle shafts being stocked up. will have updates on my roddio experiment soon,

This is the eternal bane of golfers. i have had several clubs which i found worked the best for me but am always greedy for just that extra yard hence all that experimentation. in the last month i have tried almost 4 brands of shafts and although i had picked out a favorite one i recently sold it and try something else. it may work or it may not but one thing is for sure i grow restless and cannot sleep until the next experiment is set in place. i think this will be a lifelong thing. no worries its what makes the game maddening and eternally fun. as to roddio, i agree with robert in saying that many have had mixed feelings with the roddio. i know i did. wasnt too impressed or happy with it but could never sell my shaft becasue i beleived it yet had soemthing to prove or reveal. i am going to give my wb6ba sr anther shot and mate it to a worthy 3 wood in the hopes of gettng the ball trajectory i am looking for. i am actually welcoming the softer flex profile of the roddio. cant wait for the experiment to begin.

Yup me and several guys from thailand were able to test the new driver. if im not mistaken chris too has had a go at it.

so has nayone tried the new fairway woods and hybrids? i am itching to give these a try. how are the stock smooth kick shafts?
-
d, for jdm there is Gold's imho they make the best customized putters money can bu but they arent cheap. sky's the limit for custmomization. for Us brands just check out google. good luck

if im not mistaken they stopped making these. i had ping eye 2 with titanium shafts years back but according to my dad he mentiond they discontinued the line bec of the bad vibrations caused by the shaft. can anyone here confirm this?
-
R, yes i was going to sell my 4 wood but decided not to sell as its indispensable of the deck. im looking for a 3 wood for off the tee use and rotating with my new epon 15*. had a 13.5 but did not enjoy it so much hence the search for a 14*gfield. i figured since im loving the gfields so much might as well try it on the 3wood as well.

you will get many replies and many different answers. frankly its a case to case basis and what you preferr might be different for someone else. IMHO it boils down to quality and craftsmanship. nothing beats the japanese in this aspect. on a side note there are e many custom putter shops sprouting up that make the very best and finest putters money can buy, that are a lot better quality than scotty.

very nice, im planning on setting up a practice mat as well as a putting mat soon.
