DREAM BAG
Welcome back. i wish i was in your shoes right now:) anyway you have many options. driver: epon 460 shafted with roddio or axiv shafts. cant go wrong with either of these shafts. great combo. woods: i would suggest the epon 15*/18* whichever you preffer. i have had a love hate relationship with these clubs but the consensus of the majority is sound. these are trully creme dela creme and you cannot get any better than these. Hybrids: whatever suits you... irons: well im biased with the epons, you can try the any of their models they are solid and get my vote. others may have other opinions but thats just me. wedges: epon copper x, yururi but the chikaras get my vote for sheer beauty, mystique and usability. damn i just love looking at these beauties and using them on the course is a remarkable treat. putter: i already see you posting in regards to the Gold's putter thread. cmon i know you want it and if funds werent a factor id say bite! bag: new bridgestone paradiso bags look chic and stylish. good luck and update us on what you decide to get.

alpha_pro's WITB - JDM Contest Edition
very nice solid setup, your bag looks very clean. wondering if you will ever swap that hibore for the newer X drive drivers? like you the 57 chikara is the most used club in the bag. certainly one of the most pretty too, cant wait for carl's line of putters and irons. btw why do you carry so much sharpies?

Review - EPON 3 Wood 15* with GD Quattro 75S
just got back from using my 15* epon of the tee for a FULL round. i must say that i am learning to love this club more and more. it wasnt as forgiving in the beginning but i have learned to stop blaming the club and start fixing my swing. it is indeed a stellar performer but more so for me of the tee or fluffy lie. i drove the same distance with the 15* and actually outdrove some of my friends. and they were touting the latest callaway and nike drivers. i was just using the machline fw65 stock shaft. question is i love this sooo much of the tee how much distance will i gain if i had used a 13.5*? no intentions of getting one i just want to know as i have been using my 3 wood lately of the tee much much more than my roddio/460 combo

lower ball flight
i am thinking the same thing. my ball flight with my roddio w6ba sr is extremely high. to high in fact for my liking.

What are the worlds best wedges?
well im currently in love with my chikaras and i say they are easily my top 3 but i have not much experience with them but they are easily my favorite for now. but in terms of actual mileage and overall satisfaction i would say my all time favorite wedge are the ping mb tours. these things rocked and i still bring them with me to the range most of the time to actually practice with. the chikaras only see game time . im quite curious about the epon copper x wedges. i havent had the chance to test them out. for now im not looking at other wedges because i have two of the best of both worlds. ping mb tours and chikaras.

General BS Thread
Spoon replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech Geari actually stopped spoiing my chik wedges and gave them a taste of range balls. hit about 50 or so balls. like idrive i am learning these wedges more and more. i had to change my swing a bit (more outward) with half, feel shots and couldnt be happier. these things shredded the range balls so fast that it would be scary to think what it could do to premium balls on actual greens. i am also getting the distance i lost whe i originally got these wedges. my 52 gained 20 yards and my 27 gained 15 yards just by changing my swing to suit these wedges more. also a factor is that i am adjusting to the weight. oh and i noticed 1 pin mark on the face of my wedge.must be a nick from the short time it spends outside the neoprene covers. bummer

What are the worlds best wedges?
this is a subjective question with the number of answers as varied as the wedges available. wedges are a personal choice.

Japan - Black Gold Shafts
what would the differences be with the usa models aside from origin?

WTB : Mizuno MX-23 4 Iron
i have had both irons in the past. i opted to sell the mx25 in favor of the 23. imho nothing beats the 23 in terms or forgiveness and playability. also the 23s just look more pleasing to me.

Mamiya AXIV Site
yes its an sr although the weight is roughly 8 grams lighter than the roddio which i about what im looking for. also the roddios seem to play softer than flex compared to the axivs so im willing to give it a go. thats also why i wanted to know the cpm of the 6066 from actual owners to compare with the data i have on my roddio. i have a graphite design oem for sword katana driver that is sr although it coms at only 230. my point is flex ratings arent much accurate nowadays and are not standardized among manufacturers

Mamiya AXIV Site
i guess i will postone my axiv v 6066 purchase:) but please no leopard skin!!
-
anyone know the cpm of a axiv 6066?
can anyone tel me the cpm count? im giving my roddio w6ba sr a few more weeks after that i will consider the axiv 6066 for another project. info would be great thanks

GOLD's FACTORY ** TOUR SPEC ** Premium Insert Putter w/PICS!
jeff not the detour, the newport 2 detour. it looks similar enough to the sasaya blinker
-
GOLD's FACTORY ** TOUR SPEC ** Premium Insert Putter w/PICS!
wondering if adding the blinkers will make it a neo mallet:) im looking at something resembling an eldik or even scotty newport 2 detour
-
how to modify my gf premium zone #1
i totally agree with you. i dont think sasaya san makes neo mallets though ala eldik etc. if he did i would be all over it by now. unless of course a private stock #1/2 + blinkers would be considered a neo mallet:) anyway il ask chris if its possible.

Tell everyone about your wedges...
pics soon to follow but my current gamers are: 52* chikara prototype i mainly use these for: anything between 70-100 yards . full swing around 90-100 yards depending on wind and pin placemet 60-80 yards 3/4 swing bump and run shots and slight chipping from the greem bunker shots with lots of green to work with 57* chikara prototype anything below 70 yards full swings 3/4 swings 50 yards and below chips from and around the green gnarly lie lob to pin when lots of green to work and elevated pin placemnt lob topin when ball is in rough and green is elevated bunker work havent had much experience with these clubs but im trying to get the hang of it. trying to get used to the weight as the s400s are significantly heavier than my ping mb tours with nspro 950 stiff. the chikaras i alternate with my previous gamers ping mb tours 52/56 combo
