  1. droopy im in same boat as you. i opted for the w6ba as i could use the extra 7grams over the 5ba. let us know what you decide
  2. nice looking bag jeff. it helps too that you gota ll the sticks to complement i hope they come out with white one with orange stripes. if they did id surely get one for sure.
  3. thanks G. sounds exactly like what i need, love the feel of my premium zone inserts but i do notice i tend to leave em short. will most likely consider one in the future with the extra tungsten inserts and face inserts. want the head to weigh in at 370gms.
  4. really curious about this one. anyone on the board own one? wondering how the stock m401s wil fare vs the Gfield premium zone m2+ with inserts? they look exactly the same. some inputs would be highly appreciated. thaks in advance
  5. whats your take on the m2+? i have access to a one on sale. w basically not happy with the #1 and have retired it in favor of the leap. still debating
  6. just had my shafts trimmed 1/2" and the piece weighed in at 2". 1" would be 4gs. but every inch of shaft below the butt will be progressively lighter but margin is so small its negligible. so my estimate of your 3" trimming is around 11ish grams
  7. looks like youve been enjoying them. from the pics it almost looks like the copper finish is worn away
  8. nice bag bryan! how do you like your type s irons? is it just me or do i see a premium zone m2+ putter beside your premium #1?
  9. not an anser man myself, i am confident with something with alignment aides. ive tried the odyssey 2 ball, scotty newport detours, bettis etc etc but couldnt stay with any of them. discovered the leap because of the advice of tourspecgolfer and 808hack. so i would highly suggest it. others are: gfield m2+ gd eldik gd eldik m and even a gold's factory mallet. in the end it depends on what putter looks good to you and makes you confident. choosing one is a personal thing and what may suit others may not suit you. pick one you like and if it doesnt work out you can always sell it
  10. cand go wrong with both but when quality top notch high end forging comes to mind its without a doubt ENDO
  11. i appreciate good wine but not to the point of collecting. i do though on occassion get a couple of bottles of good premium reds and share with good friends. what do you have?
  12. my dad is hooked on the eldik! now he wants the eldik sp as well. so if you guys have any let me know.
  13. my friend is decided on a 22deg.
  14. Guys a friend of mine is looking for some gfield uws 22*/25* after trying my 18/20 he was hooked. i remember some guys selling theirs but dont know if they did anyway please pm me if you have any or better yet email him at [email protected] thanks
  15. I know what you mean. with the stock grip of my leap i tend to grip harder than usual which tends to make my wrists and muscles tense up. i have to keep reminding myself to lighten my grip. maybe this would be the ideal solution
  16. i was considering this grip before but i have improved my putting by adding some lead tape at the front end and butt area of my putter and have vastly improved my putts. still experimenting with my grip but will defintely put this in my back up putter and test it out.
  17. thanks for the info guys. its clearer now. i guess i will just leave the stock shafts for now. going back to the topic of steel shafts looking at the catalogue of the beres line, they DONT have a steel shaft option for the mg801, that only available in the mg901
  18. guys i have finally decided to start using my mg801 irons. they come with the the armrq b54 r shafts 1 star d2 sw. quite surprised how easy they are to hit inspite of the thinner topline and profile. anyway these shafts are approx 54g but the overall impression is that the club is heavy. much heavier than my katana i830 irons shod with rifle 90s c11 sw. my question is how do they manage the sw while keeping the weight of the overall shafts down? i am considering changing the shafts to the ns pro 1150s and wanted to know how this would affect the overall balance of the club? reason why i ask is some guy in our local golf shop mentioned that beres has two options one with the armrq and one with the nspros. the heads that come with the armrq b54s have heavier heads while the heads that come with the nspros are lighter and that changing the shafts would mess up the balance. he made sense but i do not beleive in his explanation. can you guys fill me in? thanks in advance
  19. kawika show us before and after pics im curious about your little project
  20. jeff if you hadnt mentioned i would have thought they used nspro. most of the jdm clubs that i see being sold in graphite all have nspro as an option.
  21. jeff im surprised you havent purchased em yet.
  22. lol i know what you mean. btw got my epon woods today and im sleeping with em tonite. jokes aside these mizuno irons take the cake. they are so simple yet exude a certain exclusivety. i guess that 1/5 does that to a set of clubs.
  23. i agree with duffer. thats what i love about this site you can customize your woods and have them in any shaft you want:) as for driver shafts being put on fw i do it all the time. i usually recycle shafts as well and have them butt trimmed with little or no noticeable effetcs. for my softer shafts i would tip trim and not add an extension to get stiffer flex which is how i like it on my FWs
  24. minimalist, i like it. looks so clean. how much would something like that cost?
