I asked Gocchin about it as well about 6-8weeks ago. I had about 5 rounds on it in a proto head. Can't say which head there may be a name change (clue:damn Titleist :)) I couldn't tell if any tipping was done. I would say that it would work best in a low spin head. I found it to spin a bit much. A guy from GD US told me it is very similar to the YSQ ST (stiff tip) being released next year. Edited out pics: Just realized there were serial numbers on the shaft, my friend might get in trouble. If anyone wants pics of shaft and head let me know :)
  2. next? You won before and didn't share :)

Not the same I was looking at the ad in a Japanese golf magazine and compared them to the pics on golfwrx. The Japan forged have a slight cut in the edges of the sole and the small "boxes" similar to the Epons on the lower cavity heel and toe are slightly different in shape.

I'll take the pannie. How did you manage that "G" on the Pannie?
  5. Thank you for all the info. I have seen and only dry swung the Diablo and the new x22s. I understand how that will appeal to a certain segment of golfers. "Understated Techies" I told the rep when he asked who I thought would buy that club. I guess in that sense the Diablo-Legacy of Europe will target the same but with more money.
  6. They should've kept the Legacy name or renamed it all together, Diablo will change the perception of the quality of the product. Let us know hen you have the prices and the shaft options so we can compare with Japan. Thanks.
  7. Kinda strange. The Diablo line is a replacement for the Big Bertha line-up. The Entry level of the 3 tier Callaway line. Callaway Europe will be releasing a forged iron that is not under the "premium" line?
  8. G, the Hyper ERC is very very inexpensive right now over here. Is that by "E" as well? What about the driver I PM'd you about?
  9. That is what I wanted to confirm. I was told in the rumor mill that Sasaya-san or GF buys pre-milled heads in the Hemjei area then he "tunes" them with the inserts and the groove face tech. In the same sense as how many people get upset that Knet does the milling of a majority of Cameron putters than Cameron's "studio" adds the finishing touches. I too would prefer that for the price I pay that the puttermaker himself or his main employees are the ones doing the putter from start to finish. I have seen sub-contractors at work in a lot of different countries. Sub-contractors most of the time do sub-par work. Gocchin says Sasaya-san confirms every putter is milled from start to finish (from the solid billet I presume) by him or his employees, that should put that "tuner" rumor to rest.
  10. So putters are his design but some/most of the raw heads are made/CNC'd elsewehere? They are all forged right? I was just curious because most of the puttermakers seem to make the heads from the raw billets themselves.... Bettinardi, TP Mills, C&L, Byron etc.. Cameron outsources but that is because he makes hundreds of heads per day. I agree on the wedge grinding being difficult to do. There is a caddy over here who does maginificent grinding work. I just show him pics or have him copy a grind I want and it comes out perfect. I have gone to clubmakers and they weren't as good.
  11. So Sasaya does all the milling from scratch on the heads for his putters and outsources the forging for wedges? Just confirming
  12. Point of clarification. When you say Sasaya "has them forged", does it mean Sasaya does not forge them himself? Does he have a foundry? If he does not, then who does the forging?
  13. I have seen and hit the lime green Tour AD shaft but only on a LM. Nothing special. Although I was wearing slacks and non-golf shoes at the time. The color turned me off though. It is kind of an ugly green. The Cleveland Launcher 09 has a 52 gram Tour AD stock shaft as well.
  14. cast or form forged?
  15. And I'm still wanting those Epon clubs only ferrules.
  16. Thank you for the reply. BTW what's with the "sir"? The forum that I moderate imposes a 1 beer penalty on someone who calls someone else "sir". Now to decide SB3 or a GS putter for my birthday in a few months :)
  17. Still surprised noone has asked where these are forged? own foundry, contracted out to whom?

Where did you get the Superman headcover? A lot better than the one they used to sell in the Warner Brothers stores.
  19. Where does GS have their stuff forged?

The Yonex 460D driver has been a good seller in Japan. The irons in the players back look good. Both the blades and the CBs. I really really like the stock shafts of Yonex.

The white is what intrigues me. I've been wanting a set of white grips on my gamers. The choices are down to Perfect Pro and the Funk'd golf grips. Decicing by next week.
