Okay, got my Supo special JDM agent decoder ring out of my box of cereal this morning. Here is what I translate to... "I am a high ball hitter and I got a good trajectory out of the 9.5* albeit a little higher than the Ryoma D1. Most folks should be satisfied with the 10.5* unless they are a high ball hitter like me" Did I pass my first secret agent test? Oh and GLWS!!! Beautiful club...

I'll take Potuna's comments to heart for a second... I got the EV series as a shaft upgrade in the Yonex Nano V Driver and woods. I could not get those shafts to work for me in anything. Finally as a last effort, I chopped all of the EV 7Xs at the butt end and put them into hybrid heads, ONOFF FW Wings to be exact. In those suckers, they are the best hybrid shaft I have ever hit. The Roddio i8 in those same heads are stellar and price wise the performance is close enough, but if I got a deal on the GD EV 7X I would go that route in a heartbeat...

That seems a little counter intuitive to me. Usually I am pushing/fading when I don't have enough ooommmppphhhh for a particular shaft/head..

I'm gonna have to disagree a little on the P9003x. Don't get me wrong. I love the shaft and have two of them in active rotation. One in a Miura MD390 driver and the other in a Kamui Ray 3wd. I had gotten the P9003 originally for the Yonex 380, had it in some RC club and had ballooning issues with it. Conversely, had a Crazy FW80 shaft in the Kamui originally and could not get enough spin out of the combination so put the P9003x in it and get some phenomenal bombs out of the pairing. So my experience with the P9003x is not one of low piercing trajectories but rather mid-high - higher launched bombs. I agree that it is does not carry the SS req. that the stigma of the shaft promotes. Potuna had a couple of quality cracks with it and he was surprised the he could handle it... It is a marvelous shaft, but the reviews of the BB would lean me to recommend it over the P9003 in this instance.

More interested in the S-Yard review, given my brothers… But however you want to spend your time is OK by me...

Would think the 2 in the back and 5 in the front should get it to find a mid trajectory. Speculating based on description as I have never seen one of these in the metal...

A few differences… I have a soft stepped X flex in the Thumps. T tried so hard to get the Roddio in them for me but in the end Yamaha said the Diamanas had to go in. Also, mine play longer than yours, if memory serves 38.25" 5 iron. Looking forward to your review of the S-Yard... Not bad company to be in though, having a similar bag make up to you Stew...

Only hit the Kasco as is once, due to wintry conditions in New England. I really liked the combo with the heavier shaft, Crazy 50 Sigma. The setup is clean and compact, frames the ball beautifully and has a great feel off the face. Don't think it as long as some of the newer heads due to its age and lack of technology, but will be happy hitting it none the less. My home course is shortish so 10-15 yards off the tee is not going to make or break my round.

Yes they are NS. Played them for a few years in Miura heads. Great feeling as is the standard for Nippon shafts and the lowest most piercing trajectory they make.

Not a huge fan of the KBS, would encourage you try the Super Peening Blue for lowered ball flight

I noticed when you posted in the S-Yard thread. Have been waiting patiently for a review from you, but nothing yet. In the 40s and still lots of snow on the ground here, so doubt I will have much of a chance to hit until the season starts. Closest heated hitting bay is 45 minutes away.

Diamana X, but as per Stew's advice only the S flex. Am told that the shaft is on the stouter side and at the 70g weight even more so.

These arrived a week or two ago courtesy of a TSG poll with Spoon… Have not made it to the builders yet, but am anxious to get them into play... These finally arrived on Saturday… One box content was chronicled by Tario in an S-Yard thread, the other is my set of Yam '13 Tour irons… Can't wait to start opening..

Did the Protos from last summer turn into the Crazy Black Tour by La Bomba? Am trying to find out what happened to the Proto 519, if it became a production model or went the way of the dodo bird... -Thanks
