  1. can this come as a non conforming also chris???? also im currently using the viq 450 as you know, in your opinion (judging on the old xdrive 2) would this be more solid?
  2. wow chris that looks really nice. I think PRGR use such advanced technology, and provide clubs that make the game soooo much more enjoyable. The cx320 ut i have is by far the easiest club in my bag to hit so if these drivers have similar forgiveness i would have to seriously consider one! Im sure through judging PRGR's previous clubs this will also have a high $$$$$, however IMO it should be worth it due to the quality and technology they put in!
  3. lol phile, well at the min import ho. everything in the bag is import......tourstage driver, jpz 3 wood, prgr ut, gauge irons wedges and putter. but with the new releases coming from gauge, o lord, i may be a gauge ho! :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:
  4. nophillip i put an ozik altus in it which didnt work out and then an ozik tp-7 which also did not work out. i really should have kept the w60 in it! the w60 is a great shaft super easy with lots of feel.....just the one i have is a flex soft for me.
  5. From joining this site Tourspecgolfer has turned me from being a TOUR Equipment ho into being an IMPORT Ho!!!!! and to be honest im soooooo happy he did! :tsg_smiley_yes: In my time as a golfer i have tried an unreal amount of equipment and out of them all including some very rare tour stuff, the japanese equipment chris recommends is in a different league!!! on chris's recommendation i have thrown pride out the window and increased the loft on my driver as well as softening the flex of the shaft i use and increasing the torque. this has helped me hit longer drives more easily, with a more consistent draw shape!!! currently i am using a tourstage viq 450. this is a great looking head, very similar looking to a tm head with a great paint job! however the feel is unlike any other ive tried.....the turbo rubber inserts make this one of the softest drivers ive hit! it never feels like you have hit a ball!!!!! the 9.5 degree loft along with a low kick shaft gives me the optimal launch angle. currently im real happy with the driver, although being a ho im always looking for something new......im very very tempted by the x drive 435 which also has the turbo rubber! :tsg_smilie_wink: however rumours of a gauge driver are making me sweat!!!! :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:
  6. i have no experience with the diamana red YET but i can comment on the diamana blue. Like myself you have a ss of 100-105, however i hit a mid trajectory. I found the diamana 63s and 83s to have awesome feel, prob best feel out of any shaft ive used, very solid and good distance. however it did increase my ball flight! i could really feel the low kick in the shaft which helped the ball up in the air! and sometimes it helped it up too much ie ballooned. Apparently the red diamana takes care of this ballooning effect so maybe this would be a good option for you, where you would still achieve a higher launch to max distance yet less spin to cut through the wind! As for choosing the weight many would say 63 for distance or 83 for accuracy. i tried both over a period of 2 months and noticed only about 5 yrds difference on average between the two, and to be perfectly honest no difference in dispersion!!!!! so id say go 63!
  7. this is an ''at the moment'' sort of question. ie at the moment i am definate a blade style putter! however when i start to putt bad, il tell myself a mallet is really my favourite style! and the cycle goes on leading me to a neo mallet after that.....it happens to all hoes. lol. :tsg_smiley_yes: However i do believe that your swing path should determine the type of putter you use....ie if you are familar and practise the Pelz method, a centre shaft is definate beneficial......straight back straight through, where as if you are an inside to inside putter an anser is what is needed! :tsg_smilie_cool:
  8. excellent job ari, these are by far the best looking scratch blades ive seen to date, if not the best looking traditional style blades . ! looks like a great finish...any idea on how it wears? also is this a new model blade or just a new stamping?
  9. i honestly cant wait untill this stuff comes out! im must be one of gauge designs biggest fans, from chris got me hooked i have never been as content! with the new arrival of this gear i may tame the ho inside until they are released.... Any info you get chris be sure to update us
  10. Jees ari, this are awesome! love the finish, stampings and bsically everything about them! Scratch are going places!!!!!! idea on a price of these? :tsg_smiley_embarrassed:
  11. All depends on the hoing mood im in. However since venturing into the import gear, i dont bother with tour stuff any more. Reason why? because now i figure that the tour gear is specifically made for a player, a player that has different swing characteristics and build and ability than myself........so i feel its pointless! The japan import equipment that i have been getting off chris is IMO better quality, more customized to ME, as well as unique. From making this transition ive noticed especially with the driverDISTANCE gains. From talking with chris i realised i needed to go for a softer shaft - stop being so proud - and up the loft on my driver along with slightly higher torque for my game. this combination has definately improved my driving and made the game more enjoyable. Most recently im ordering a srixon 505 with red diamana!!!!!! hope she is as sweet as the current viq450!

i just tested the ozik altus vs the tp7 both in stiff flex, tipped 1/4 inch! initially i tried the altus with good results, roughly the same distance as diamana 63 maybe not as much feel, with an even higher flight. This felt to me very whippy, yet solid. the performance overall was high but very tight. Then i got the tp-7 and having played three rounds and two range sessions with the tp-7 im very dissapointed to say it did not work well for me. not enough feel, or torque in the shaft to help me get the desired draw! obviously i do not swing hard enough for such low torque shafts and therefore its destructive to my game. After hitting many balls on the range with both oziks along with my diamana 63 stiff, i feel that the diamana performs every bit as well as if not better than either of the oziks! ive learned a valuable lesson - just because the shaft is $$$$$$ dont make it a gamer for me or every individual. this has left me ragin as i feel ive blown mega buck just to find out that my original diamana suits me as good as any! ps anyone want an ozik altus or tp-7

sqbt is a fantastic wedge, better than any on the us market imho, however the gauge gas1 forged beats it in terms of feel. and this is to me is what the short game is all about.

chris is super, in terms of turn around....as soon as he gets the gear in...it goes straight back out!

very true sf! i have tried both. the ozik altus is now in my viq450 and once my tp-7 full boron version comes in i will put the altus in the 3 wood. i feel the performance of these shafts is very very good. i really cant believe the combo of stability and feel they provide!
