  1. this time of year. the GOLF time of year in japana, always has me fast tracking my thoughts away from japanese treelined opulance to the and wild wolley wind swept plains of austrialas east coast . although right now is prime to golf season, the last cpl of weeks typhoons ahs killed a faair bit of playing time, that coupled with the demise of nearly all my playng partners over the las few years, and im crumbling into a shell of a ( wanna -be) golfer. ive literally hardly any one left here to play with..so to keep my mind nimble on all thngs club related... i tend to play the courses in sydney in my mind on the range ,bec this is where i spend the majority of my time hitting balls. so heres my christmas thinking , iknow its early, but well its the only thing i can do to keep sane! ive tries PLENTY of new gear this year , and pretty much all of it as been sensational in one form or another. a cpl of stand outs have been diamana X driver shaft .. graphite design z99036x......... the TRPX / jbeam driver head...... callaway 2103 forged irons... NS modus 3 130 iron shafts.... yamaha tour irons.... syard heads and wedges... to name a few stright of hte top of m,y head . so. how many of these can make my "world series club-athon bag on the most unforgiving links back home................. i love thisnking baout thsi stuff, it makes the whole year seem "complete", chrissy is what i consider the ned of the season for me, and it culminates in very intsense golf in copmpetioins almost every day. so, the gear i play has to count bec it goes agaisnt my handicap! so ive got 30 kilos of grear to bring , 20 of which will be clubs the vast majorit ywil lagai nbe putter, bec as much as i play here i cant practice putting .hence why my scoring never meets the expectation of my best ball striking days. i just dont get enough practice time , to score well, simple as that. so heres what i think wil make the trip a(unles somehtign remarkable cmes up in the bext 6 weeks..,) drivers. ALWAYS the msot important club for my travels. bec i tend to play the most challenging courses i can get my teeth into, adn without a relaible cannon. im a dead man walking... so without doubt.......... the TRPX 9.5* /diamana X 70s gets a nod. for outright consistance, i know its ealry days with it but in all honesty this thing is uber reliable, its just a bit higher than the "trusty" ryoma which will serve me better on a cpl of longer courses. adn its ability to find the midle of the fairway warants any posituion, if there were "just one driver " available for selection, this wud be hard to beat for its allroundedness. the ryoma v-spec OBVIUOLSY get one bag spot , ive already got a 9.5* v-spec d1 with GD p9003x living there permanantly. bec well its made for sydney. but the 2 new ones, with diamanaX nad gd z9003 6x.. will get spots as well. the z9003x is MIGHTY low and runs for ever. that wil be sensational at terry hills. the diamamnan X wil lbe perfect anywhere but as its only 44.75 inch i think ill prob use it more at longy thean anywhere else. the 425 tour waccine............ the bomber............! thsi is 100% coming, man on a few tracks with some whind at my back wholy scmokes! thsi will be a 1 shot club im hoping.ive not really missed too many with it , and ive only played it in horrid conditions and it eats it up so NSW will get its first look on the 17th dec. ill prob go 2 drivers at NSW thsi one and the ryoam diamananaX. that shud do for drivers. the fairway woods are set. theres no point looking anywhere else other than the yamaha tour IFF with diamana kaili 70 and 80 x shafts in 14 and 18*. sure theres great others ,but these are perfection for oz. utes . ive gone back to the trusty egg4iron 23* with monacco4irons hfted X flex. it just perfroms and it just goest straight, there no nonesense, so its the one. irons......... well unequiviocablly,,,,,,,, the pgrg IDBL will get one spot. no questions at all. its just a question of monacco or NS 2g18s. and the more i hit hte 2g18s in s**tty wind ,the more i think it will be them! they will be joining the tr500-monaccos alreay living in oz. so i guesss id like the option to see how the NS hsafts go vs the monaccos i nthe same kinda head. the callaway tour authentic c-taper protos are impossible to ignore, esp at longy where u dont need to hit the ball higher than head high. they are almost custome made for links play. and the 2013 forged monaccos X, but i ahve to see if i can cut these down t suit my length they are currently @ 38.25inch , thats way too long for me. i need em 1/2 shorter. but i ahve the feeling if i butt them the SW will be disturbed too mauch so . well someone might get the op to get thse things . depends on what my builder says. wedges....... the syard bolds. wit monacco shafts 100% done the yururi raw with aerotech 125 DONE. tourstage maru.. monacco --DONE and as a rogie the prgr low bounce wedges. gotta give them a proper whirl on hard pan. they wil al be joining the foruteen MT tour grind-DG spinners. already living in sdyney. thinking this season i shud............. be able to reclaim some handicap ive given up last 2 visits..!
  2. i dont think this is as long as either my 435 diamana stinger combo , nor my 425 tour waccine build, but.. idb hard pressed not to take this out when the fairways are thin and the course tricky, ill guarantee u id never thake the 435 out for that track. but if those were my 3 choices. on a pete dye tracks it wud be the trpx , guraranteed
  3. and 2-4 grams make a HUMONOGOUS differnce, in every way to drivers. 198 gram head to 202 is very significant to swing weight and head speed and launch. i had my ryoma stinger at the clubbuilder on friday night its 45.5 inch and i HATE that length . i never play this thing beceasue its too long nad its a total waste of a driver for me.... ive gotta get this to my playing specs., by cutting the buttt 1/4 inch it brings the swing wight from d2.5 -d1.5 if want to go to 45 inch, which is the LONGEST iwant any driver............ im gonn end up with it at about c9........that spells disaster to me. i think hes going to have to rebuild it completely and make the head heavier as its only 197.5 grams at the moment. bec when the ryoma with stinger is built properly there no better driver ive ever hit.....none. i think a lot of builds guys get and dont like are due to incorrectly researched builds. u cant just hand a driver to a builder and say here put this together, and expect tour performance, the builder must know what ur swing characterists are like to make it work well ive been working with my guy for 6 years , he sbuilt me something like 500odd clubs all up, sets of irons , drivers, wedges, putters. u name it . my file , almost needs its own cabinet. get a builder and speak to him for a long time and half the clubs here that i see gong inot BST bec they "dont work" will work i brilliantly f a correct build is made for that guy.. a simple cpl of grams here or there makes it a totalyl differnt club .
  4. Got to hit this tonight as well Ive hit all the eggs and had some greatsuccess withem all However one constant them keeps cropping up The blody head is alwyas too damn light and the chance of topping it ishuge,!,,!,!,! Well this one isnt that much different but what they finally did was make it shorter and highr and aheck of alot or punchier for guys thatswing a bit harder. I only had the m/43 shafted one but that ddint seem to matter one bit it was really really nice. Itss till not as long as theoriginal in my book but its adiffernt beast this time u can def use it from a small tee and it more about control that sheer distance or so it seemed tonight. ikinda like this one alot id def consider it as a15* Its the best looking of the new model for my eyes and i thik it might be a really good piece certainly ddint seem to need a new shaft even
  5. Wel then....it seems ive found my antidote for this head The shaft is spot on init its so rediculously forgiving its quite special The thing is when u hot any driver out of the screws its gling to be senational It is however a better judge when one doesnt get themiddle everytime which is what us mortals have to put up withAnd this driver i gotta say is magnificent. Iahd it on range with 2ryomas and a kamui pro all with the same shaft and the trpx was just sensational. The misses just kind of wander left or right Its so confidence inspiring to really have a go at bec the misses are great I re did the weight config once more 4/4/4... 202 gram head makes it distictly heavier swing weightand the flight is now mid And a really tame driver . The dead centered shots were going miles but so does everything like i said Its when its not quite on that this thing shines In my.book Finally got the right weightings for this head at44.875 inch.

Finally got to test these tonight with dg s200 against my prgr idbl set Definatly a difference in the new nabla s and the last seasons idbl in size shape and feelThe new model is MUCH squarer same length same top line but a distinctly thinner sole. Slighty more offest which was instantly noticed after id hit a ton of ball swith my idbl , they looked quite offset but in fact they are not its just everything looks ofset after playing the idbls My initial thought was tourstage 701 but a tiny bit shorter in fact the design is very similar at address but thats where the similarities end. the new muscle design is sensational to hit. Its a very tried and true recipe looks like evevryones gone thru a rising trianlge muscle at one point.think yamaha tour but without the extra bulging sole. The impact is just gooooooooooooosh slurrrrrrrtsquidgeeee Absoltuely delicious.i was in love with its feel. I Cud do anything iwanted withthese in terms of moving them about. Howeveri was mor enamoured eith the idlb s shape than these , but thats what i like a bit less ofset and a bit more roundedness. If ulike tourstage irons shape ssgentsur gonna outright love these irons they are a lotsofter impact if ulike that look but not tourstage feel then these are def an answer. Ir i hadnt got the idbls id have no hesitation in getting asetof these Oh and they dont need re shafting the s200went splendidly inthem as they stood Id gladly trade aset of something ihave for these no issues at all. Damn fine set of stick fellas.
  7. U might wanna pop up a piccy of that thing i think
  8. The way i see this is.if u have one driver per year and uupdate to the latest model, u willprob find a small difference increase in either length or control what ever the comapnyis touting that season. Now if ubuild ....oooh lets pluck a number out here say30 plus drivers per year. Them minco increases in both distance and control is a humoungous achievement.considering the qualiof materials and tech now . Getting the head/ shaft match "right" is easily the hardest part of a build and when u nail that combo u wil hear guys say "Ive just got the best longest driver ever........" I cant walk in and get the yamaha 2013 tour model off the shelf with. A gd bb6s and say this is thebest ever even tho its been built by theyamaha team for exaclty that purpose, thye chose those components bec they fit like aglove for...... Mos tjapanaes egolfers at agood level that hit fairways consistanly For me , it will be a string of spaggetti but the majorityof good japanese golfers can hit that brillinatly So while that head is a s good ,long as any Its the shaft that mKes it outright perform or fail So the single longest or best(i prsume that means getting on the fairway the most) is utterly impossible to do U can get a fairly decent idea of whAts terrfici if ur prepared to do some legwork ur self And in the end That srealy the only way Ihave definatly found 20,,,, easily 20 drivers that ive built thatare perfectly the longest best drivers of all time But. Istill build and. Istill buy Bec ilike to do it

    Kaili gone
  10. ............ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. look it easy.. if ur a after th e "best ever" "longest by far" then its the taylormade orange while thing bec ove the last 5 years its gotttn better by "staggering "12million % , so the average drive with it now is 754 yards....into the wind............uphill.............

yea.. weird concept.. a simple clean blade might have been met with humongous demand. imagine if yamaha did a tourstage 905/909 kinda thing. seriously.., why not ??????????????????????????
  12. supo replied to supo's post in a topic in Buy, Sell, & Trade
yes the prices lsited are shipped..
  13. if i choked down i did get it left, quite easily but at full extention not... i dont get these results with the diamana X 70s or x shafts tho. its got a bit of flex in it but it snaps at impact back to stright so its like a catapult. i musy ahve hit more tha n50 balls with it last night. nad by hte ned, i took it home. took the TRPX out of the bag (till i get more weights) nad put htis in next to the vpsec with diamana X 70s for thi s sundays game. i say again this is very LOW.......it might be the lowest of my quivver. very very impressed.

  16. supo replied to supo's post in a topic in Buy, Sell, & Trade
i will trade these as well getns. shafts idlike are the z9003x... waccine...... .diamanaX...
  17. that matrix was a big thought but i launches on the higher side. and i dont need a high launch shaft. quite an interestign shaft that one. better get more details on it i think.........,

the RMX from this yr r wasnt ENDO. the tour stuff always is.
  19. supo replied to bogeydog's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
thats a good question bec i see tons of rmx in run out stuff. but it is cheaper, and not being funny it does look good. hmm im gonna stay neutral on these till isee them in hand...
  20. cant hit the W.. my swing characterisitcs kill me with it ,i slice the blazes out of it. the D18 is a good idea... esp for the TMTP.. in fact...... uve just sealed that ones fate spoony... dont wanna drop a load on these so ignoring the new shafts .. the slightly older ones will suffice perfectly. so DI 8s in the tmtp.... DONE.. and im really utie thinking the bimatrix for the nextage....................,
  21. great way to display clubs. damn..., what a set up, i like the 2 ute set up. i cud do that myslef with ta 17* RC bbd 4w instead of a 3 wood. and turf the 4iron no probs sensational stuff
  22. well ive put the ali islei back into play on a cpl of fairway woods recently and its sensational. no loss of feel o nthis thing so those are very solid ideas.. il hunt down a blue board. for the nextage but the white is too much for me i always miss it way right. maybe a nun chuk might be ok i nthat head actually. ah........! the bimatrix!
  23. these wont be played a lot so theyr are just for sydney basically. control not yardage. so maybe the DJ 8s might be a good idea. i mean i hate this shaft but its got something going for it its dead but stright , no ?
  24. they came out well. understated for golds. that brass finish is just magnificent
