  2. thks chaps for input here. got me thinking of a few situations. ill remeasure all my lies and makesure they areall identical for a start i already check shaft lenghts and they are all the same i play a 5 iron at 37.75inch stiff shafts in SP and x in others. all grips are either pefect pro cord or iomic x evolution. lies are standard not sure of the exct no t hee but ive treid going 1* up right with calamtous results kep t puling the 5 iron OB , one shot almost made a great circle it was the far left. ! pete surprised u didn t follow it u wouuld landed at manly golf club! most miss hits are off the toe that is spot on. most missed drives are blocks. i do try and turn the ball over bec i i know i have the fishing swing so im very conscious of slashing my right hand thru for the msot it works ok but all mymisses are right. its just the 302 that are the BIG problem tho. ahh the pain the pain...,
  3. here what the british embassy issued last nigth ......., might help with "real " issues not CNN and skys absoutely fkkn horendous scare mongering reporting they shuid be banned for reporting fkkn idiots!!!!!!! small rant but what they are saying to the world is pathetic! \most of us have switched off cnn and in the office only bbc a is shown real stuff on neucs........., The view and analysis of the British Embassy The chief spokesman was Sir. John Beddington, Chief Scientific Adviser to the UK Government, and he was joined by a number of qualified nuclear experts based in the UK. Their assessment of the current situation in Japan is as follows: * In case of a 'reasonable worst case scenario' (defined as total meltdown of one reactor with subsequent radioactive explosion) an exclusion zone of 30 miles (50km) would be the maximum required to avoid affecting peoples' health. Even in a worse situation (loss of two or more reactors) it is unlikely that the damage would be significantly more than that caused by the loss of a single reactor. * The current 20km exclusion zone is appropriate for the levels of radiation/risk currently experienced, and if the pouring of sea water can be maintained, the likelihood of a major incident should be avoided. A further large quake with tsunami could lead to the suspension of the current cooling operations, leading to the above scenario. * The bottom line is that these experts do not see there being a possibility of a health problem for residents in Tokyo. The radiation levels would need to be hundreds of times higher than current to cause the possibility for health issues, and that, in their opinion, is not going to happen (they were talking minimum levels affecting pregnant women and children - for normal adults the levels would need to be much higher still). * The experts do not consider the wind direction to be material. They say Tokyo is too far away to be materially affected. * If the pouring of water can be maintained the situation should be much improved after ten days, as the reactors' cores cool down. * Information being provided by Japanese authorities is being independently monitored by a number of organizations and is deemed to be accurate, as far as measures of radioactivity levels are concerned. * This is a very different situation from Chernobyl, where the reactor went into meltdown and the encasement, which exploded, was left to burn for weeks without any control. Even with Chernobyl, an exclusion zone of 30 miles would have been adequate to protect human health. The problem was that most people became sick from eating contaminated food, crops, milk and water in the region for years afterward, as no attempt was made to measure radioactivity levels in the food supply at that time or warn people of the dangers. The secrecy over the Chernobyl explosion is in contrast to the very public coverage of the Fukushima crisis. * The Head of the British School asked if the school should remain closed. The answer was there is no need to close the school due to fears of radiation. There may well be other reasons - structural damage or possible new quakes, but the radiation fear is not supported by scientific measures, even for children. * Regarding Iodine supplementation, the experts said this was only necessary for those who had inhaled quantities of radiation (those in the exclusion zone or workers on the site) or through consumption of contaminated food/water supplies. Long term consumption of iodine is, in any case, not healthy. The discussion was surprisingly frank and to the point. The conclusion of the experts is that the damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami, as well as the subsequent aftershocks, was much more of an issue than the fear of radiation sickness from the nuclear plants.

  13. revised numbers today 11 meters plus waves and 9.0 magnitude. the new footage released today is jawdroping. thers nothing u can say its like a movie.the earth was still ish today notthing since early morning cpl of shudders but were so used to them now .the only concern weve got is the reactor, beenon the phone to qantas all morning trying to get a flight if were going itll be tom as its dues to rain on tues nad the wind is heading sth east right over tokyo not sure if i fancy glowing yellow for the next thousand yrs reallly. so it might be sayonara..........................,
  14. brilliant head., got aout 6 yamahas of all differnt size shapes. the v 201 in 9 is low the 10 is absolutley marvellous for a bit more carry and workability very forgiving and super easy to hit. length tho doesnt get sacrificed really just not that much run. the 9 will go further with a lowspin shaft like the quadra FE the 9 is a lot better for running the ball and hittin into wind the 10 is better for load shoot and carry. if u want more roll and shoot 280 id go the 9. if ur SS is avbove 105 then th 9 will suit well. i have a 10 in the tour 425 cc and 9 in the v201 model the v201 has a stinger in it and that is a cannon ball express.
  15. oh boy..., they are the best looking finished clubs ever.
  16. hey chaps..., is there any playability differnce between the differnt heads? ive hit the coper wedges and they def felt more solid , no where near as soft same in putters the metal felt like a much harder constitution. jeff those ones on your avatar i presume are the 302s? i was thinknig of getting a set of kyoei muscles in copper a while ago but i balked bec my ex.perience wasnt great with what i hit . the rawheads i know very well having the yururi flatbacks and dozens of kyoei wedges but still curious about the copper heads.
  17. jim im lost for words...., we were awoken by another 2 quakes.., but they all pail into insignificance now after fridays thing. the news on the reactor isnt great. juts getting details on it now but my wifes friend called a second ago abd told ut to get the fk out. they have evaced 200 000 epople fporm around that area so in guesssing that aint great!!! fk its so ahrd to know what to do,,, other countries are sendiong droves of people in to help and im thinkng of splitting. ithought id take off from work and go and help out however possible then my wife reminded me im responsible for a family. i LOVE japan and its people, the country is incredible the diversity of temperature, topography , and people in differnt regions is stunning i feel like i owe this place something ive been here 10 yrs and i came for 1 and there wasnt an end in sight before this happend.] my allegiances must lie with the fam tho and ill do what ever is safest for them. the devestation up north cant be expressed in words. sendai was one of my favourite palces to visiti,, the skiing and golf up there was beautiful just watching videos of the plant blowing up now. gawwwwwwwwd. gonna be difficult times ahead oh jim btw...... hit em staright , gaw damn it.....!

  21. YES MATE have only been able to make 1 call so far. this seems to be the only medium open regularly ive got a big bag packed at the door but as emi says where the hell we going to go? this seems to be the safest place. nothing new here since 8ish looks.l ike the fire at the refinery is out thankfully. that plant at fukushima tho....................... 22. morning fellAS well another nteresting night.. non stop shocks and sways but mercifully nothing that made us get up was a night of intereupted sleep and concern over how fast we could get downstairs in need be. still w a huge waarning for tsunami over the whole counrty but after the big shock yesteday sways that wewere getting last night felt like going over a speeed bump in a 4wd. not sure what were going to do now. bec golf is off......! my house seeemd to handle the pressure cooker pretty well so well have a look around it make sure nothings broken poor sendai doesnt seem to exist anymore. they said it as a one in 1000 yrs shock. pls god let that be true!
