theres so, so many great woods. for feel the epon yamaha are my 2 favs. for ease that callway thing and on off straightness the j beam and ryoma distance wise all are pretty darn good . cost wise the maruman conductor... id gladly play all these without hesitation what so ever. just get the right shaft in these heads and roberts ya fathers brother.....,

ok....., 45.25 x 321 x d1.5 crazy 80 noir 7.7 ryoma v-spec d1 9.5* today at sentosa serapong course . first time in a match at a course about as good as they get tees bit fr forward but never the less got to see how this palys in all tis glory sultry 24* no wind ,typical singapore day front nine was a bit eratic hit 4 of 7 back nine got it sorted nicely an hit 5 of 6 and found the centre of the club on all but 1shot distance was as expected. excellent seriosuly excellent got a cpl of biggies going and was a long way down the centre control overall was good although i hit a cpl of slices in the day but the results werent attrocious just missed the fairway by 10 yards. feel was good, def NOT my favourite, tho like the epon and yamaha better for feel. look at address is hard to come to terms with at first its a elongated rounded square looking face and it looks closed but isnt. the face looks a bit thin and long but its has that v or triangle shape on the face that frames the ball beautifully. the head shape is very appealing can not notice the power tail at all and looks very agreeable. at the end of the game i was saying to my partners of the day this was the first ive played with it and all of them agrreed unanimously if ichangd drivers i was MAD. i hit a bunch on the range and tried moving it about and found i could work it a wee bit, more than the 435 jbeam not as much as the 425 prob slightly more than the 102 no where near as much as th 101. as for an over all combo, well that noir shaft is good, its def a slight draw ball compared to the tj adn the crazy 80 and 50 . not as low spin as some other i felt .havnt looked at the specs but id be surprised if tis the same as the 80, 50 or tj took me a little while to play to the draw ball , setting up on the left side ofthe box a lot nad hitting to unfamiliar territory . but after i trusted my self to unleash over the right side terrain the results were great. this is most def a keeper and a club ill play alot . do i like it as much as my other big 4...... not sure yet, but one thing i noticed is its a better performer when i didnt go hard at it and just smoothed it i think this is the best driver ive hit for that shot. def in the rotation wont change it around liked what i had . i def got few right out there trajectory was superb mid flight with lots of roll thats the shot im after in drivers id have to say this was easily as long and straight as my good drivers . but i wasnt "wow this is the best ever." like i was expecting................, and i think i prefered the the stinger shaft in it .., i think this driver wil be a driver i use a lot , its def in my favourites after 1 match and i think ill play it if im not driving well on the range , bec its forgivability is superb. its in the final...!

Difference between JBeam FX 425 head and Crazy (JBeam) FX 435?
yea my 425 tour is 10.5*with a black 80 7.7 and its low,ish i think its the perfect trajectory thats shaft is low any way i was surprised at the shots i was getting. thought it might be high but no siree. the 9.5* 435 tj46 7.7 s lower tho and straighter, thats the most straight shooter ive ever hit almost impossible to turn over the 425 i played only once so far in a game and totally killed it, hit a cpl of my bigest ever shots i did get this to turn over the 435 combo feels more solid and has more juice and a ton more roll out the 425 is more workable and i feel a more rounded performer the 435 is totally about cannoning theres NO way the ball gets above head high its a bit daunting . its the best driver by a mile into the winds, in oz was easily my first choice in comp.bec its just dead straight. i need to play the 425 more to make a more accurate call on it , buti was super impressed with it on the range every time ive hit it the feel with the black is a bit more lively than the tj46 but when ever i play at the tourny tracks in japan this yr ill be playing the 435 guaranteed. they come in 2 faces the silver and a smoky grey . the silver is almost impossible to come accross im dying to hear what skip says about it . the feel is pretty similar but ithink the 435 is more solid. they both dont have that epon yamaha fell to them but then agn when usee where the ball is who gives a ....., the shape is quite square compared to the epon 102 i dont have a preference to eiither of these heads. they are horeses for courses in my book if uwant to move the pill abit more than outright canoooooooooooooooooooooooooooning it into the abyss yonder , then get the tour head

Less is More! Smaller Driver Heads
this is a really good loking club.! havnt been a huge fan of toursatge drivers over the yers, just preferd others, but ths really took my eye when i saw it its seemed to me to be a lot more pro model esque driver than the 703 sure TS said ok lets get a bit serious with a retail driver and this is it. havnt hit this yet, but itching toi have a crack. its alot more compact than the 703 and it looks like the face is a lot smaller too. i t looks to me to be very much along the concept of the tour model yamaha just a beautiful piece, similar design in bringing the power from the back of the club tour stage and yamaha prob compete neck and neck on everything id say. the good thing is thier products dont look identical ,personally im more of a yamaha fan the look of yamaha appeals to me more. but performance, ah cant split em, i just hit yamaha better. this driver here looks like a solid no nonsense driver that will give good rewards for the better driver of the ball for sure. looks like u can do anything with this its 100000000000000000000000000 times beter looking than the gr thing they did., what the????? THAT looks like golf driver spam, the graphics on that are horrid. this one tho.. oooooh yea.

epon 302 help....,
nononononon.., ur advice is spot on ! ur assumption of hitting the toe is dead right. and i do tend to hitthe big fella before ihit the small one , hence humongous divots! but................,with the ground shaking like it i s i might just get better contact now bec he ball will be ina differnt spot every time!!!!! in fact quite literally! the surface i normaily hit off in JP is as nice as ull hit anywhrere on the globe really soft fluffy lies perfect for these clubs or so iu think , which is why i bought them i nthe first palce. but even still i play others better. the toughter turf back home i ddint think for a minute these would be my best bet for irions and as it turned out was a spot on assumption. going to re think everything when i get my head back in the right space back in japan HOPEFULLY in a cpl of weeks. but considering my style of play and the results iget with how i hit it then i gotta go with what suits best and thats the miuras and the kyoeis it seems thks for everyones hlep on this . at some stage u just have to say things dont suit, a much as this erks me theres no use having something this good sitting in a bag not getting hit in all honesty i dont mind hoarding but these will just taunt me .

epon 302 help....,
jeff i adore these , these are the best feeling irons of all time. the round i palyed which i smoked em was in japan in midsummer on grass so lush the groud staff has to stop people form diggging it up and taking it home as carpet. in those conds these just rule but ui can imagine how deep my divots are , i actually took one shot and i could see korea the divot was so deep. but on ozzy hard pan. worst ever. unless i manage to change my swing to sweeping then these are renderd useless. i might just have to bite the bullett and accept i have what i have and that these are suited bette to other guys jeff....., id buy a set of ur clubs in that finish JUST to put on my wall, they are the best looking sticks of all time ., i saw ur old post in 07 , gee whiz. i gottta sort this out when i return home

epon 302 help....,
thks chaps for input here. got me thinking of a few situations. ill remeasure all my lies and makesure they areall identical for a start i already check shaft lenghts and they are all the same i play a 5 iron at 37.75inch stiff shafts in SP and x in others. all grips are either pefect pro cord or iomic x evolution. lies are standard not sure of the exct no t hee but ive treid going 1* up right with calamtous results kep t puling the 5 iron OB , one shot almost made a great circle it was the far left. ! pete surprised u didn t follow it u wouuld landed at manly golf club! most miss hits are off the toe that is spot on. most missed drives are blocks. i do try and turn the ball over bec i i know i have the fishing swing so im very conscious of slashing my right hand thru for the msot it works ok but all mymisses are right. its just the 302 that are the BIG problem tho. ahh the pain the pain...,

Rocked by a 8.8 Earthquake
here what the british embassy issued last nigth ......., might help with "real " issues not CNN and skys absoutely fkkn horendous scare mongering reporting they shuid be banned for reporting fkkn idiots!!!!!!! small rant but what they are saying to the world is pathetic! \most of us have switched off cnn and in the office only bbc a is shown real stuff on neucs........., The view and analysis of the British Embassy The chief spokesman was Sir. John Beddington, Chief Scientific Adviser to the UK Government, and he was joined by a number of qualified nuclear experts based in the UK. Their assessment of the current situation in Japan is as follows: * In case of a 'reasonable worst case scenario' (defined as total meltdown of one reactor with subsequent radioactive explosion) an exclusion zone of 30 miles (50km) would be the maximum required to avoid affecting peoples' health. Even in a worse situation (loss of two or more reactors) it is unlikely that the damage would be significantly more than that caused by the loss of a single reactor. * The current 20km exclusion zone is appropriate for the levels of radiation/risk currently experienced, and if the pouring of sea water can be maintained, the likelihood of a major incident should be avoided. A further large quake with tsunami could lead to the suspension of the current cooling operations, leading to the above scenario. * The bottom line is that these experts do not see there being a possibility of a health problem for residents in Tokyo. The radiation levels would need to be hundreds of times higher than current to cause the possibility for health issues, and that, in their opinion, is not going to happen (they were talking minimum levels affecting pregnant women and children - for normal adults the levels would need to be much higher still). * The experts do not consider the wind direction to be material. They say Tokyo is too far away to be materially affected. * If the pouring of water can be maintained the situation should be much improved after ten days, as the reactors' cores cool down. * Information being provided by Japanese authorities is being independently monitored by a number of organizations and is deemed to be accurate, as far as measures of radioactivity levels are concerned. * This is a very different situation from Chernobyl, where the reactor went into meltdown and the encasement, which exploded, was left to burn for weeks without any control. Even with Chernobyl, an exclusion zone of 30 miles would have been adequate to protect human health. The problem was that most people became sick from eating contaminated food, crops, milk and water in the region for years afterward, as no attempt was made to measure radioactivity levels in the food supply at that time or warn people of the dangers. The secrecy over the Chernobyl explosion is in contrast to the very public coverage of the Fukushima crisis. * The Head of the British School asked if the school should remain closed. The answer was there is no need to close the school due to fears of radiation. There may well be other reasons - structural damage or possible new quakes, but the radiation fear is not supported by scientific measures, even for children. * Regarding Iodine supplementation, the experts said this was only necessary for those who had inhaled quantities of radiation (those in the exclusion zone or workers on the site) or through consumption of contaminated food/water supplies. Long term consumption of iodine is, in any case, not healthy. The discussion was surprisingly frank and to the point. The conclusion of the experts is that the damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami, as well as the subsequent aftershocks, was much more of an issue than the fear of radiation sickness from the nuclear plants.

Chaps.. the best looking iron set i own the epon 302s the shape the size the feel is juts out of this world. i cant hit them........., ive tried so much i hit em in oz whene ever i could in all types of conditions ive swapped the shafts out ., changed the grips over 3 times ive played 1 really good ball striking round with them. the rest ive just got thru i cant sell em bec i love them there\must be something im missing here bec all my other iron setsi hit well esp if u use them twice in a row and a cpl of ranges sessions but hte 302 i just cant get wired. the sole is the broadset of all my clubs and im thnking this is the reason i have a very steep angle into the ball bec i do this really bad shiiiiiiiity cast movement that i jsut cant fix.! but on small soled clubs that doesnt really come in to it on these tho its just too much i feel is there any other reasons anyone can think of bec im into the death knell of perhaps the best clubs ever designed. i will give these every possible cahnce to stay but i cant keep playing them when i hit the smaller clubs so much better gents pls any ideas ??????

Yamaha V.201 driver
brilliant head., got aout 6 yamahas of all differnt size shapes. the v 201 in 9 is low the 10 is absolutley marvellous for a bit more carry and workability very forgiving and super easy to hit. length tho doesnt get sacrificed really just not that much run. the 9 will go further with a lowspin shaft like the quadra FE the 9 is a lot better for running the ball and hittin into wind the 10 is better for load shoot and carry. if u want more roll and shoot 280 id go the 9. if ur SS is avbove 105 then th 9 will suit well. i have a 10 in the tour 425 cc and 9 in the v201 model the v201 has a stinger in it and that is a cannon ball express.

Epon AF tours in black
hey chaps..., is there any playability differnce between the differnt heads? ive hit the coper wedges and they def felt more solid , no where near as soft same in putters the metal felt like a much harder constitution. jeff those ones on your avatar i presume are the 302s? i was thinknig of getting a set of kyoei muscles in copper a while ago but i balked bec my ex.perience wasnt great with what i hit . the rawheads i know very well having the yururi flatbacks and dozens of kyoei wedges but still curious about the copper heads.
