Get one! I want to hear how it plays on course im too scared to bag it t was spot on the yonex looks like a fairway. Persimmon is dead right. Its square not closed looking at all yonex drivers have a great ability to look dead square even when closed like the nextage 10' i didnt know that was closedand kept pulling it. The 380 was fine just a little freaky at first then i really liked it, esp when it went straight most shots ,nice surprise! Id really need to clober ths on an outdoor range too see flight results an moveability, but instincts tell me id slice the pants off it, wont know till its hit tho all yonex ive hit have gone straight to left but nothing looks quite ike this.

Looks good in the flesh havnt hit it tho more rounded than the 703 more compact the 703 id think would be much easier to hit t.hat is a really easy to hit driver! Looks more like a pro series driver ild like To get holf of one for a bash

Which crazy u thinking of? And balls question i hit the xxio premium but i found in oz they were a bit difficult to stop dead distance is incredible ill say 10yards on the srixon z star and a heap softer . On the greens just oh so sweet was thinking of trting the tourstage v10 as my pal says they spin a bit more around the green thats rhe only thing i miss with the xxio that stopping power any comp between these two balls?

hey good stuff..! i was looking at this for a cpl of days as well, but thought this might happen like u said. the stinger def plays a we bit softer than its stated flex. the GD p9003 x DOESNT...!!!! tipping it nad making it a 3w shaft might might be a good idea , at $220 for a 90 t shaft ( is this correct??) that might make it a beauty.

brilliant......., wow that ems must be some driver. i would have been slackjawed if ud said the ryoma was shorter off centre tho. epon ......... just goes to show. change the shafts around? no way never mess with your no 1. contenders have to EARN their bag spot! (you could alway put a stinger in that ryoma... higher ball flight . longer carry . feeling ..., schweeeeeeeeet.!!! )

i was going to say epon 302 immediatly. but im not sure if thet are conforming grooves. the sole on them isnt small is pretty full but not too bad. workability is good without being extreme. shafted with nippon stell super peening blue on lush grass there isnt much eslse sweeterto hit. and they spec them 100 % to ur requirements. yamaha are a bit smaller,, bogeydog is the expert on these. saw some very tasty mizzies at the show but i was only loking at the blades. the mp68s i think they were just beautiful. pretty much all end forged irons are as good as there is to hit. i had a good look at the 901 from Fourteeen and they look really good, they are endo forged. and the lines on them are not too chunky. i thought the tc1000 from a cpl of yrs back look more pro esque tho the 910s look more cavity based than player based saying that i do game the kyoei irons , they feel more like miuras , a bit more solid. super direct and distance control in my ones anyway just brilliant.

well heres a little experiment i did last night.., roddio s7x in a yamaha 2010 v201 10* cannon!, ever so slight draw cannon! you can totally forget about roddio being a sloppy jaloppy shaft now ,NO WAY.., this wont be getting touched il oved this set up. the new shafts are a lot tighter and a lot more dynamic. dispersion is super tight. the x flex suite me prefectly. the s is a flex too soft but the x is perfect. im going to put that 3 w proto tour shaft in the yamaha 3w v 14* and have a little roddio set. i think they are really good!

BB..., i hit the 385 yonex and liked it. got good numbers. looks like the old ping WOOD or the first titleist seriosuly pear shaped.!! but that yonex v shape in the face keeps ur eyes on the ball NOT the tiny head. hit them all the 450 420 and the 380 the 380 was my preferd tool. with a GD dj 6s good combo. T will give u specs on it i guess. but feel is like all yonex a muted thump. not the best sound. unfortunatly it makes u think the ball isnt going far, and u try and you swing harder. they could def improve that aspc bec it doesnt lend itself to confidence. but the results were good. very big risk they are taking making these things, cant see too many guys getting them. my thoughts were id hit this on tight tracks and i dont exepct a lot of distance but i figure i might be able to keep it very low and get some run and be o the short stuff a lot! i was very surprised by the 380, i thought there was NO way id be able to hit it well. i thought it was going t be a slice machine ,but not at all. got them to turn ove pretty nicely, i found my hands going thru the ball much better than alot ofdrivers , i think my trajectory was good, distance was ok, acceptable, and i think they were pretty straight. i hit this the best of all the 3 they had on show. i didnt mind it at all.

there must be something so wrong with me. after hitting a billion balls all day sat at the show. then playing sun, i figured i needed another session tonight. i had a cpl of changes around with a few heads and shafts today. put the QUADRA prototype 75xs in my epon 102 8.5* 44.875 x 329 (yes!) x d3 the epon 101 9.5* with a diamana stinger 70s 44.875 x 324 x d4 firstly the prototype combo with an iomic x evolution (seriously there nothing better than these grips) looks terrific for starters, the new shaft is money. was teeing the ball up to 40mm and this worked well. the trajectory is still higher than the old FEX and i got a proper feeling for this shaft as ive hit the epons with FEX a lot. the old one (FEX) is a more friendly feel , the proto is definatly tighter, higher , and id presume more carry , cant really say bec i cant see the end result. but i was getting them pretty well mostly and the reuslts were good. definatly not as good feeeling as the crazy so far. but i wont say anything till i play it in a match. might be a bit on the heavy side as well. i was tending to leave a few right, hard going from one weight to another and back. to get consistancy. dispersion seems really good. more pingy than the old one for sure. im not 100% sold on this compared to what else i have , but no decision till its gamed. THE EPON 101- stinger 70s. wholly shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii......., its so weird that shafts play good in one driver and not in another. this 70 s was in my epon 102 8.5. it was always long , but i tended to snap pull it a bit. i liked it but i kind of benched it recently. the dispersion wasnt what i wanted., i felt the shaft was too soft. in the 101.............oh my god .it was like a ruler! and long ,really long. i was mashing the back fence all night with this thing. it felt miles better than in the 102 , i have no idea why. and it was a lot tighter. ive always said i thnik the 101 u can swing faster with bec the head is more compact and rounded so im guessing i was turning thru the ball better . this set up is as good as anything ive enjoyed hitting ,the epon feel is so soft and the stinger in this head feels slightly more alive than in the 102 . prob bec. the 101 i think in my mind ,is made for drilling harder, i can t swing slow with this head , but with the 102 i find i swing a bit slower , and push the ball more. i havnt been playing the stinger a lot recently ,prob bec i have so many new ones to hit , but after tonights session, its back in the mix. i think its actually the longest shaft for me. i seem to get the longest shots with this shaft. its not as glassy a feel as the the crazy. or quadra. its something differnent. for certian this shaft belongs in the 101 head. and in the yamaha tour head. in the smaller more compact heads it seems to play at its best best of these..., ill say the stinger 101 tonight , but thats in the nets. ill reserve final decision till i play a game with them. pretty sure the quadra will raise its head enormously tho.

thats going in today, the one shown is with a cray 80 and it suits perfectly. after palying it with a crayz 80ls 2. irealised the 102 needs a more pingy steely shaft rather than a sofer one, bec the head is so soft it kind of mutes the feel to much with the crayz 80 tho , wowsah, it was sensational. that proto in it might just suit as well i mthinking. hopefully itll be reayd tonight and i can go to the range and try it out

yea 21* MUCH easier to hit than any 4 iron! sound was scweeeet. i only hit a cpl with this and thought this was as good as any club i hit that day. (and pete, its a thinking tool.!)

ahhhhhhhhhhhh...., dying to hear how this palys on course.! those are 2 super clubs and shafts here you go.., il back the ryoma is consistanlty longer and ESPECIALLY from non centered shots. but the epon is the better feeling and easier to play. ill be surprised if the distance isnt quite noticable with the ryoma i still havnt played this but from what i hit at the range, " i aint seen nutt'en like it!" i absolutely dig my 102 so i love epon but that ryoma is just stirring around in my mind. RESULTS...!!!!!

well i like the look of the epon 901 better. much better. and its as soft if not more so. the look at address is totally differnt , this one is like one of those putters that odyssey amke with the rounded back phil uses it. but at address its just bloody marvellous it sits pretty low to the ground and is round to the eye . but not tiny , just well....., nice..., i tell you what it makes u think u dont have to try and hit the ball 300. just easy does it. i let one go on the lat shot and it turned ove nicely nd went the farthest , i smoked that dead centre , absolutely lovely feel. i tried that 901 with a few shafts and it just wasnt for me. ilove it but i cant make it go. its more like a iron shape than the 14, the fourteen is somehting totally differnent., i couldnt make the epon perform consistantly to bag it, its just my swing i guess. THIS thing tho., i wanted to hit it out of morbid curiosity , and ended up smoking every shot of the dead centre 220ish. .T ur dead right i gotta have one , esp for those horid links which im so heniously attracted to. ud take 220 ish darn the tubes all day wouldnt you??????????????

ahhh yes i think this is the one i hit. hit about 5 balls gun barrell 215 ish down the pipes. i never liked these things but im here to say this was so simple. so good to look at, so soft i came out the net and said , if i eve get one of these , THIS is it. agaianst the yonex thing which seriousy if id picked the ball u p and thrown it it would have gone further. and straighter. it was like heaven.. the fourteen was leagues easier, softer, better to hit. stock ns shaft just beautiful. great club.

i just found it like this and played it long, i cant stand that pivot position, i played it today and was on fire with it! 5 one puts from 8ft ish.., its bagged! i have another exactly the same at 33 inch .. just suits me perfectly. having had a big session at home over christmas gave me a great insight into whats going into my bag this yr. its more of what i hit consistantly well and less of the experimentation stuff i l like to make. that way it might just save me a penny or 6 per week, and lower my scores with more consistantancy the drivers have been a bit inconsistant for a while ,i was either killing it hitting 12/14 ish or its 0/6 and errrrgh, just put it away use a 3 wood. ! ive worked hard on finding a set up that suits my swing the best + giving me the feel i like. i think ive finalllly found it jbeam /crazy set up the 425 tour and black 80 7.7 ..................., and the epon102 quadra FE express proto 75xs fairways ive gone with the royal collection 304p-- crazy black fw 8.2x ... the yamaha v 14* with (wait for it... diamana kailia70s ) and the egg spoon15* crazy black 80 8.2 . utility i wise m hoping the 22* egg 5 iron and ns 1150s set up will cement for a while, at the range its been beautiful, but a match is another thing. iron wise im playing the kyoei v muscles with NS super peening blue s to start the yr with the ground being hard and short grass. and as it warms up i m hoping to play the epon 302 same shaft set up .a lot more. wedges are the tourstage xwedge 03 from 2006 ish with the NS wv 125 , they have been fabulous on the range and first hit out tomorrow. putter is the guage design neo black no 1 in 41 inch shaft. piccys posted of match bag tom, but this shud see me thru till mid yr ish im thinking. small rotation naturally. but this is the core goal for this season is to break 70 as it has been for a cpl of seasons, but more over to move all numbers down a peg and consistantly score around the handicap with as little blow outs as possible. with a much help form my JDM delights as i can muster. bring on the season!!!!

hhahhahhhahhahahahahhaha...., crazy is the kahoona of fw shafts. quadra launches higher but slings further . th quadra feels better in FW yes different to drivers. but the quadra is looser.well thats not good description,ah i just go it quadra is looser in the first 20 yardsoff the face then dead straight crazy is more workable weird., but thats what ive found in FW flex not cut down driver shafts theres a diference
