  2. Straight, low, and confident! Its not pretty here tonight at lotte kasai its psssssssing it down actually typhoon coming tomorrow bithered thats what wins me coin! First 10 hits completed against some big names in the driver world epon102 yamaha tour ryoma jbeam hiws it going u ask? Not too bad not too bad at all the shaft is a pro shaft no doubt about it no frills no great diamond feel just solid straight and low like it......., back in a minny hitting some more............ Draw balls endless baby draws getting more solid liking the shaft alot head tho ......, ahhhhh the centre, BIG dufference not good off centre nice out of the screws not very long so far the big boys def more leg drive thus is an accuracy club so far can work the devil out of it witbout a peob easily easily the best fir working....., ahh 7 straight of the middle nice.,, not greT feelimg at all kimda lile the jbeam muted but effective face looks great v triangle shapeframes the ball beautifully looks like its not a pile driver more of an artists brush length def not up there so far but accuracy rigjt at the top miss hit this a lot less than a cpl of thd others an overgrown 3 wood springs to mind gonna try a cpl of the deck
  3. god ive thrown my hat in on wrx a cpl of times , i couldn t stand to read the dribble some times, the utter rubbish, its stunning at tmes, especailly about JDM and particularly about miura clubs ive used 5 differnt sets of this rons and plenty of his wedges over the yrs some are MUCH better than others. the 1957, and the isms are def his top stuff. i agree totally with skip, when u get hold of these they are every bit as good, just slightly more solid as anything out there. they look awsome inspire confidence and feel down right great. i dont care who makes anything as long as conssistancy and tollerances are GOOD. you do get some wishy washy answers from guys. like my sakamotos, ive asked tis guy 19 times about his clubs i get nothing thats printable or decyperable back. but his irons feel pretty good, they should do they are fricken expensive enough.! marketing is golf.
  4. Hey all......., just returned from my oz spectacular mid yr golden week golfingetravaganza. played ONLY links tracks in sdyney in pretty much , horrendous conditions the whole 2 weeks. rainy + big old wind testing times on some ripper tracks in sensational condition (apart form the pools of water everywhere) this post is about BALLS..................., i thought for a change id take bunch of pointy end tour balls down and give them all a good workout , see if i cud pick some differnces and see if my over all ichi-ban ball could be challenged from its 2 yr s championposition, the , premiunbrill. i took the new titleist pro v1...........tourstage v10...........srixon z-star xv............tourstage x-01 mild + soild , of course my premium brills, anda set of dontaed my mr Gocchin kasco kelnot all red fluro spectaculars. hit each and all in very tough conditions , in comp and just practice play PRO V1 (new) LIKED the new ball immensly , after not hitting this ball for a cpl of yrs i noticed immediatly the new feel. its more solid than the old, its longer and it grips beautifully. round the greenits superb, i liked htis ball for a long time but after hitting so many others , i stayed clear of it for a while , the new one tho i thought was great , would bag this no probs . played this in comp at magenta shores and it wasnt the ball that let me don thats for sure! TOURSTAGE v-10 this has been my other ball for a while , from time to time i stray from the chosen path and i go to this ball, i was very keen to see how it went in oz, AND it went superbly. another one of those i didnt really notice anything it did or didnt do well or bad, it felt perfect not hard not soft, juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust right, it spins well and it s length wasnt overly noticeablely short or long.. as a go into a shop ,see these first and grab them straight away ball, no buyers lament at all. thsese are right at the top. lovely playing ball. liked it over the pro v1 by a small margin TOURSTAGE x-01 solid DIDNT like this ball, it felt like a a marble on my club face compared to the others i was hitting. very hard, felt to me like i had to really hit the ball hard to get results. spin around the green was good tho, infact very good. on the putter face it was hideous , worst by a mile. as the name say "solid" the staying power of it is tops tho, the ball after a round looks brand new. no marks can just keep playing it i guess its a distance ball. ? the quality of this pill is superb. and its quality is excellent. im still confused how they made it spin when it feels so hard. great engineering . not for me TOURSTAGE x-10 mild Now this puppy is what top end J balls is allllllllllllllll about in my book. beautiful feeling slightly softer than the pro v1 by the smallest of margins , much nicer on the putter face, , whilst driving distance was less by a small , id say just under 10 yards to the super brill champion. (enough to need another club tho!) the over all result on mid irons made this ball just superb to play. if the bloody crows hadnt stolen half of them id be still hitting them now. sensational ball. rate these very very high, better than the pro v1 which i think is its equivalent . prov prob longer and more solid but hte mild is all about inside 150 in my book SRIXON z star XV this has juts been released everywhere, even oz has this now, this has been my ususal alternate ball for a while, its very much like the pro v1 in solidness, but spin i thought was better around the greens and on putterface better as well. over all playability , i think this is hard to beat on all clubs the sum of the parts puts this below none. the catch cry to play a better ball really DOES apply I think. love this pill all round nothing better . others are better in distance, and in feel ,but i dont think in spin tho, or overll playability the ball sits beautifully atop a tee, no need to try and do naything out of the ordinary with this ball it just goes. and goes well. perfect in every condition as well. KASCO -klenot the red devils! Gocchin put these in a bag for me to test out, they are luminous red. VERY starge to look at like looking at a discord against the grass length not great tho, def a lot less than the big boys, but feel wise????????????? well were in another galaxy here. im not joking these feel like hitting marshmallow clouds of salmon eggs. NOTHING is anywhere near the feel of these things i was gobsmacked, i rang tario mid round to tell him how good they felt, on the putter face just like a cotton ball, so nice its like u never want to putt with anything else ever again. makes it hard to go back to anything else after these, but the BIG down side is they really arnt long at all. lik noticaeable short . again i felt i had to go at them very hard to get results, but on the opposite scale to the tourstage solids. yin of the yang IF i played a really short course these would be perfect , or if ur a senior and want smoothnes then i think these would be unbeatabe . they spin beautifully. but in a differnt way they dont back up the just kinda stop like a blob. u gotta try them! just the look gets u in. i love em ,but i wont ever play them in comp. not for me . but softer hitter i think they would suit perfectly DUNLOP premiumbrill MY balls................! i have been orally flayed for playing these things in australia insummer where the greens are like a combo of cement and glass at times . yes the bloody ball bounces in the air on certian tracks at times in summer! but ...........BUT this time in soft conditions in big wind. where the ball was HOLDING on the greens and i mean at NSW, i didnt even think to pull out any other ball. off the tee, they are incomperable. end of chat ! the feel off the driver is the best, the feel off the long irons , the best the feel off the mid irons the best off the short iron tho, this is where they com back to the field. they DONT produce enought grip or hold to be really confident in hot hard cons ,but at the monment they are perfect. not near the TOURSTAGE or srixon or evern the pro v1 in hot dry days , but when its moist it doent matter. they win by a countrty mile the best thing about these tho is on the putterface. after using them and going to other ball i struggle to get that feel back quickly ,it takes a long time to get used to the feel of other balls, but when i go BACK to these afte the other s its like coming home hungover in winter in the rain to minestrone soup, spag bol and a bottle of chateauneuf de pape. just homely! they will remain my balls for the forseeable future, other s dont agree but for me over all i cant displace them, the lenght is NO1 the disperison is NO 1 the feel is ,we ll faagetabarrrrrrrrrrrrrtit no 1 on greens oh yea , ONLY DETRIMENT is around the greens on hard dry days , these ARNT GOOD, in fact they SUCK, but unless u play everyday in that kinda stuff then these win. MY rankings....., driver length ------------XXIO premium brill long iorns length ---------XXIO long irons feel.-------------XXIO mid iron feel-------------srixon z star xv short iron feel-----------tourstage mild iron moveability-------- srixon z star xv putter face-------XXIO "chipability"---------srixon /tourstage v10 "lobability"----------tourstage mild all round long game, XXIO all round short game tourstage x-10 mild depending on days at differnt courses on windy dry days on links id take the srixon zstar xv on no wind days id play the tourstage v10 on softer courses id paly the XXIO brill on short length tracks id play the tourstage mild if i had to choose only one sleeve for a blind day conditions unknown on a rogue course in oz ................., either the tourstage v10 OR the srixon z star xv would get the nod. in JAPAN XXIO premium brill by a mile , no questions asked hows that grab you , what say u all ????????????????????
  5. i got the bushnell 1600 its bloody quick, give a great reading battery life is great. optics, well superb. the battery cover keeps coming loose and ive lost a battery , which pissssed me off extremely. i love it tho, but ill send this back and get another one. it certianly does speed up play, and makes distances in between targets superb to get ur mind on the job. , the bst thing i love is i get a reading from say a bunker to the pin . so i go ok need to carry 142yards, and hit below 162 where the pin is, it makes club choice so much easier. how did play without one?
  6. 45 inch or 45.25 with the quadra FEX in the x drive custom order is a rombax 3 wood form my yamaha v14
  7. ive gone back to a set of AF tours after a sojourn away. stil yet to ever have a bad round with them. what on earth was i thinking selling them in the first palce ill never ever know. im in love all over again.

  9. set 3-PW of Miura CB-501s with KBS tour stiff shafts for sale. irons have been played less than 10 rounds and are in amazing shape. 9/10 rating. standard l/l/l. $750
  10. yes most definatly. the yururi grind is one of the most versatile there is. ive had a cpl of mne bent 1* so i coverd all bases 51-52-54-55-56-58 without a hitch what soever.
  11. the tours are awome as wel, but the raw clubs spin more. no prob with any of yururis wedge for spin, even the cast 1.618 mutilate the ball.
  12. wow.WOW. i saw these recently and was stopped in mid stride. im playing the 901s in australia in rotation in the worst conditions imaginable and they are jsut sesational. not good off the toe, infact absolutely the worst, but they werent made for players who hit the toe a lot. these look better than the yonex even. oh gosh, if i sell a set of blades then these wil be too tempting im sure. if only one could get hold of a 7 iron in both these and the yonex, it would make life so much easier......................................................,
  13. 8* Good lord Mines at9 5* And thats the lowest I could imagine Agree completely nothing near it for tight and low easily the best
  14. oooooooooooooh ya....., dont tip roddios ive been informed many many times, ive psoted this fact numerous times. they are for butt cuts only. white side up is correct. but yes u will be playing right a fair bi id think. makes it good if u can power ur hands over and get the draw shape this thing wil be a pwerhouse..
  15. agreed with T feel is better sound def better i think the older one is longer. and more penetrating i think the new one def goes higher. iswitched back to the old one . i found i was launching too high with hte new one, even with the crazy in it, the old one with the shingo roddio shaft is low nad long
  16. agreed with T feel is better sound def better i think the older one is longer. and more penetrating i think the new one def goes higher. iswitched back to the old one . i found i was launching too high with hte new one, even with the crazy in it, the old one with the shingo roddio shaft is low nad long
  17. ihave my yururis with the NS super peening orange, bit higher flight but oh so lovely to hit. i think they suit these haeds beaufiully . played thes 2 weeks ago, perfect i nthese conditions here at the moment i shud paly the mmore really , the shafts have been SST sured infact..... might play them saturday.
  18. thats why iasked if they wre tied in to shaft companies or the qauality of the tour shafts areNOT anything like what we get to buy
  19. i guess the shaft companies pay the pros to use thier shafts????????????
  20. i have a few crazy shafts 80 cb noir 80 ls2 tj 46 80fw 80 and i had a 50 from what i feel, the tj 46 is light and the most deadly long ball hitting shaft ive tried. its 100% about clobbering the daylights out ofgunbarrle straight the 80fw is heavy, heavy in the tip, low spin low launch but workable. u cab gte this ti turn just the right amount the 80 is similar to tyhe FW in feel, but a bit lighter in the swing and not as electirc at impact. the 80ls 2 is a LOT more feel than the 80 original model. dynamics pretty similar with more feel, the 50 i had prob has the best feel of all the crazys ive hit , but misses with it to he right were catastrophic, amazing feeling shaft if u want to tkae the left out then the 50 is a tough shaft to compare with. the cb80 ls noir is my current ryoma headed driver not as much glassy fel as the other 80s ,but a small draw bias which is superb. can hang tough on a big shot , but ikes to be smoothed more , get the ebst resuts when juts tempo is perfect and smooth the ball bets trajectory of all my drivers thius set up if u like to kep the right out of play the 50 is tough to beat. the fw 80 is in 4 of my fairways, and ill game the 3 and 5 when i need to chase balls low . not the best for hitting high cut shots that land soft, not good at all really but for a driver repleacment 3w shaft easily the king of shafts.. iand in the egg spoon the lownwss of the shaft coupled with the eggs soarability is a potent mix the eagle hunter....!!
  21. thats what i thought immediatly. wedgeathon...... ?????? oh yes indeed...., thast tonight with my new lies.. well see what differnce this makes.
  22. juts getting a few sets of wedges flalttend 1.5* now for a range sesshy tonight . hoping this improves my target practice.
