hmmmm got a peek at it today very very very nice looking stick .looks very well made lovely lines simple nothing flashy about it except for the gold emblem on the power tail. i had a small hit with it felt very good lots of thump at impact , not a super paper thin face. has some substance to it all in all looks a very good piece of engineering. small face pear shaped, very reminiscent at adress of the TM tp superquad form 08 looks like it got a small pronounced rounded convex face. need to take it out for a good session , but first impresions are very good. this wont be out till 2011 sometime. first impressions .....tasty. (sorry for poor piccys but only got hte phone to do it!)

its gotta be the same head right. these are identical to my zones , which i think are the same as the geotechs. and i love my zones but the price is wrong unless they have done sonething "super" to them.

Matrix X-Con 6 anything like V2?
IMO the V2 has very little feel to it , its really tight, and the results are superb, but its just a dull feeling shaft . the matrix feels like an electric eel compaed to it and the x-con 6 is good but IMO just above average . the diamana ahina brand new might be a good updated one to try? fubuki aplha as well thats the clsoeset i can think of thats really stiff and tingy or in matrix the f6m2 would be better. ahhhhhhh fujikura rombax. yes i think they are pretty close to what ud like to hit , but with more feel. what say u all sound about right????

Absolute steal for these things
which of the 2 matrix would suit a 3 wood? the 8m2 iguess ?"

question for gochhin or chris i think. i just saw a set of these 3-pw for sale for mucho dolero. plus a set of wedges 47-52--57 that look like they can shred a bowling bowl. at address they look really really good. feel and weight was perfect. they look very similar to my zone sprouts or a set of geotechs. but the inset face is different have u any clues about them they a had a set of x-100s in them so im thinking they might have been a pros. they are in good nick but they have seen the course for sure. grooves perfect. ive never seen these before and i was really interested, they look fantastic, cavity muscle style. told the guy to hang on to them for me till i got some info. this is the puppy. it really looks tops!.

PRGR Egg Spoon
Yup, bagging the my new model today, im en route to useit now. Its got a spot in the line up for as long as i can forsee. Off the turf nothing even close to it. From a tee box the low profile still erks me a bit ,the old model looks loads better bec its a bit fuller. Distance is second to None on bothmodels, And the choice of shaft like anything makes the club . Skipper hope ur right gone the 7.4 fw80 in the 15" crazy over the fubuki. Report later today. Ihad troubles with the look of the new one on a tee so iwent for the yamaha v quadra14" if i was planning to hit a lot of tes or the egg if i was going to hit long balls at par 5s like today i cant best those two clubs for diferent shots. Get both!!!!!!!

Grips, Grips, Grips
iomic x-evolution for driver NOTHING else need apply. perfect pro cord for irons . the same response. tried about 10 differernt styles these work the best the iomic x evol have a softish feel to the hands but an incredible tort play the perfect pro cords are super harsh on the hands they feel like sandpaper and in the wet they are terrrific. i wont have any other grips on my clubs ....till something better comes out. but i m gonna try try these grimaster kangaroo mumblers . they get a good wrap.

not sure if thats it , i was told its all black. i presume that means the face but i dont know fully yet i aint seen it in the flesh, next week i get a look at it. ill take snap of it , if they let me do that. 99% sure its not for me . but curiosity kills me i gotta have crack at it !!!!!! T was inspecting the baldo thing, seeing if they had gotten better in manufacturing. im not a manufacturing guru , certianly no ones better than T at that. hes the answer there. as for the ryoma., seriosuly 90K for ahead ? thats really pushing the envelope i mean really really really pushing that boat out............,15 yards how much is that worth? im a sceptic. but until its been struck ill reserve my judgement .

Iron shafts
Just sitting here pondering the feel of my different iron shafts . i recenlty got a set of rifle brushed satin flighted 6.0 and used them on the weekend , really loved the feel of them. very differnt feel to my others they are very pingy and uber direct quite slingshotty , i just had them instaleld in my miura 1957 and i wont be touching them. suit beautifully i have always been a really big fan of the NS pro ive got the 950s in my epon 302s which suit really well a bit more flex gives that big head a beautiful sling shot to it. and highlights the feel of the head perfectly. prefect match. my bets feeling iron set. The NS 1050x in my kyoeis suit and feel absolutely superb in those heads and i will never change them . they are very direct and give an instant reposnse to what ive hit love that feel ive got the KBS in my epon af tour they feel great like they were made for each other,. a set of DG s400 in my yururi flatbacks suit ok, but ithink id rather swap them to ns pro 1050 x which have slightyly stiffer, but lively feel to them i realy didnt think id notice a differnce in shafts last yr but when i really think about it i most certianly can. am i missing any glaring examples i need to try???

Blades... too many options
ive got a few sets of blades.. epon af-tour.... kyoei v muscle..... sakamoto...... miura 1957...... yururi flatback......... i like them all for differnt things and conditions. the sakaomoto ,miura and yurri i like on hard pan, tight lied grass.bec of the small , thin soles the kyoies on everything. bec, they are in between small and big and they are the most solid of all. the epons on sponge,or wet grass. are simply fantastic, they feel the (best )softest by a long way. i went back to playing blades bec, i wanted that feeling of that perfect hit off the middle , just nothing else feels like it . ive hit cavities again recently , but they just dont feel as good., for me its gotta be blades. if u add the epon 302 and miura cb1006 in there as well, oh boy, i thtink my iron ho'ing days are over.

Old better than new
Old meets new....., So, on sat i took 2 drivers out to Naruasawa to play one of japans finest courses, right dead set under fuji. the 17th par 3 ur hitting str8 into her majesty, simply stunning. anyway i took my 2 yamahas, the 2010 V 201 10* with quadra fire express 75xs (44.75 x d3 x 324) and the 08 v 4.6 multiface with the GD p9003x 10* (44.5 x d2 x 323) used the new model on the fron nine. this has become one of my all time favourite clubs its super long mid launching with plenty of roll out. i dont think ive hit a better feeling driver than this (that includes my mighty epon 102). i like the fact that it plays a little on the short side(length) for added control ,it certianly doesnt give up any distance. it performed as it always does super straight with a nice littel kick in the tail.i cant move this around reallly, its more point / shoot and let it do its thing for long straight wide courses this is the driver i take out. Narusawa is certianly not ideal for this , the driving there needs to be accurate and theres plenty of dog legs off the tees to over come, i just wanted to test how id go with it on a tight driving course . and it went superbly. i missed the fariway on the first which is calamatous. and the 2nd(no warm up straight into it , not my ideal start!) hit the rest with good length. the BIG SURPRISE however, was the peformance on the back nine of the older model driver i made with Mjr D's help. i took his old GD 9003x to see how it goes, BOY this thing is good! can move it a lot easier than the quadra it s certianly long, i was super pleased , and with greater control than the quadra v201 set up. i missed one fairway by a few feet. back nine , in fact after id calmed my rage down from hitting 2 balls in the drink at he base of the greeen with my WEDGE from 90 yards on 18 to get closed out and take an 8 to get uber stipeed! ......................,i pondered the preformance agaisnt each other, my all time fav. driver the NEW v 201 VS the "OLD beast" its certainly given me a lovely headache. To be honest , the control with the older one was better on the day the . length wasnt as far as the new one and the quadra definatly feels better, but the older head i like the set up look of better.i like the way it sits up a wee bit more and the face angle looks bigger and more hittable than the new model. if anything it says yamaha make super friccccken good heads for one thing,!!! i shant be hopping around differnt driver heads any longer its epon and yamaha and shut the gate for me now. the usual right side favouritism of GD wasnt aparent at all, i didnt slice a single shot .this set up is superb. cetianly the new model is a better "feel" in every way,and is consistantly longer on miss hits especially , but the older one looks better at address in my eyes and control was better. I cant get over the feel of the quadra set up but the control of the old model cant be ignored. technlogy has made the new model better for sure ,but not as much as id thought. for theprice build of these 2 rivers theres certianly wasnt a clear winner. if the overall performance and feel is utmost then the newest gear is unmatchable , but on a budget the older one clearly is a better club. im DEFINATLY getting the new model make no mistake about that as soon as its out.......MINE.

Crazy Shaft (extra care needed)

Kamui + Quadra Combo
yup , pretty sure youll like it. its got a more tingy feel. stiffer for sure, my crazy 50 8.2x is exactly what id call X really have to turn your hands over on it or its right bound. the quadra SX is less stiff then the crazy X and i but the crazy has another level xx so it shud be a similar flex to the XS , but its definalty stiffer. hit crazys if you have trouble snapping the ball and loosing it left if u tend to block the ball the crazy get very frustrating indeed. but it does make y conscious of turning the hands over ALL THE TIME

Driver Shaft
ok id think the GD di6s will be a nice shaft for you. its mid trajectory low spin, hard to turn over little whip in the tip.lovely feel. shud take the left bends out of ur shots great price shaft too plenty long and u will get plenty of run
