crazy 80 fw shafts
cpl of these popping up about the place , and im thinkng of getting one but im wondeing about right- sidedness bias of it........., the 50t driver shaft i have is stunning feeling . but when miiss it right, i i miss it big time right ! too much for me to play in a driver head , i swapped this for a quadre fire express 75 xs last wekeeknd with awsome reuslts (but the crazy feels better, just wrong specs for my swing ) . im just concerned about that take the left side outta play mumble. is the fw the same??

p-tune drivers
ok, im at my club builders a cpl of weeks ago, gettign club no 1,234,5454,789 rejigged for no aparent reason........, . and he s say stewart-san ive been keeping one of these for u . pls try it . i go, ok, what is it? its a p-tune made by japans no2 culb designer. . Matsuo -san (no2 ?, yes im assured its true.) hes has been working for Dunlop as the lead developer for eoans, and recenty he branched out to go it alone and desigend his own range with a co. called pigeon golf. they gave him scope to do whatever he wanted. and hes come up with a new weight distribution system thast the first of its kind in the world................, interchangeable dispersion on the sole of the club and channels leading to each weight. the face is rounded with a yamaha V series look to it. and the body is a compact 440 cc head that reminds me of the new onoff 2010 or a smaller srixon ztx, thats a kinda rounded shape. At address it sets up square and just seems to suit the eye nicely. impact. heres the very interesting thing. i ve been secretley using this a for a few weeks to guage what it is i cant put my finger on. now i think i know. its definalty a combo of the shaft and the chanel design that give it its unique feel. it doent feel hollow, it sounds hollow but the impact is like that tour edge exotocs cb range. nothing but solid non compression impact, the ball flies off this face. there was a test in one of the mags earlier this yr puting this up agst all the JDM competitors and it came in 2nd over all or distance for guys who drive under 270- ,, under 290 - over 300.., the winner was the srixon (but not the ztx ) an older model. maybe chris or tario cud track this down bec we werre quite surprised. this has attraacted a cult following in japan with the older guys esp, they Love it. NEVER seen one in any bin, or store, the only one ive ever seen one on auction site a sold after 2 days at the buy now price which was really toppy. mines shafted with a diamana stinger 60s (of course!) palys 318 x 45 x d2 and dispersion is seriously tight the length is long! and i can change the weight distribution to draw neutral or fade bias in heatbeat with the screwdriver accompanied. right now ive got it to slight draw bias and loving it. gamed ift for a few of 9 holes in conjunction with the epon and it looses nothing! i can smash this with confidence and the results have been very very good. not sure why i havnt palyed a full game with it, porb bec the epon is sitting rigght next to it and i juts cant keep my mitts of tis puppy. it s really exxy sits aside the epon 102 at the same price i hanvt got the language skills to work out the materails and really techy things (pssssssssss st T and C thast where YOU can come in on this....!) no photos of my beauty now i l do that tonight but heres a snipet of what im t alking about

NEW egg 17* spoon.,
ahhhhhhhhhhh, yes ,cum hoc ergo propter hoc the fubuki is very pleasant. lovely feeling and a joy to hit , a fantastic upgrade shaft for a minmal extra fee.cant go wrong here at all, unless......................................, you take a walk on the wild side, feeling fruity????? ALL the matrix range ive hit in fairways ........., are sensational.brillaint length, flight feel . top package the 60s..., xcon 6.., f6m2. hd-6 all brilliant. but then again................, if ur looking for a quantam leap. the QUADRA drivers shafts cut down open up an entire new world,NOT the easiest to hit , in fact quite difficult to hit well, not the greatest comfort feeling either, but hang on to your hats when u see where the ball ends up, loooooong ball lama ! when my f7m2 gets here tomorrow and gets whacked i n the new 15* then i think i might have close the ultimate feel/performance club , BUT until i game it, the above stands!

NEW egg 17* spoon.,
oooh yea. ooooooooooooooooooooooh yea, they sound like a normal wood now . the only thing that MIGHT be a detriment to the new one that was mentioned ut was. that the face is VERY straight, balde like. , not rounded and typical. persoanlly i love this shape but he wasnt overly mad on it.

NEW egg 17* spoon.,
ok heres the EGG lineup at last nigths range sesshy bombfest . 3 of us wanted to try all the offerings. old egg15* --quadra fire express 65 s old egg 15*-- roddio si6 old egg 18*-- quadra fire express 75xsfw new egg 17* matrix f6m2 new egg 15* matrix hd-6 the quadra fire 75xs was the stiffest in an 18* old egg. it gets out there a mile but u gotta belt it. its prob o nthe cusp for a SS less than 47m/s ( driver speed , ) if u have one faster than this tho u d be hard pressed to find anything better. an absolute brute! the 65s was the lowest launching and furthest running. prob the longest of them all. not realy a club to move around , but point shoot and watch it go. the new 17* was the best feeling im my eyes def a little higher launching than that 15*s and distacne a little way behind them, but noticeably longer and lower than the 18* i thought it to be a total all rounder. can hit low stigners a few high balls. ill use this now as a faiway wood and 3-4-5 ron repalcement even. LOVE IT the new 15 * hd-6 was a little softer than the the f6m2 but lower in flight and workability was superb, not quite that brilliant feeling of the f6m2 but not far behind. the length terrific as expected with lots of run. can hit this offa tee ive found! one of the best looking clubs ive ever seen all those numbers et all. really bling! and it goes , but id like a differnt shaft in the 15. i have a stinger earmarked for my new 15* . old egg and the roddio si6. , not as hard to hit as the quadras higher launching but not a balloon ball . workability superb and feel fantastic. dont feel like u have to be dustin johnson to make this work. the quadras can be a littel like that, u cant smooth those out there u gotta go at the m every time. sometimes a little finesse goes a long way and roddio i find is utterly brilliant for this. conclusion is ..., theres no point in me gettin a 13* ..., the 15* is pefectly adeqaute. . i def. prefer the new shape. but one of my buds like the old one better. proves not all that glitters is gold. we all agreed they are all fantastic new old. they perform out of thier skins.

apologoes the piccys arnt that good only had a phone to use. but .........., so im at my shop on sunday browsing the wares with a smile on my face after fleecing my golf partner "the stig " after he 3 putted form 12 feet on 18 and payed our 4 presses......., were looking at a cpl of things and he goes ""wholly s.......t get over here now! , take a look at these. oh my god..., who do u think these were made for???? the lines are totally unmistakeable and the "signature" on the bottom left leaves no doubt in my mind. they are FOR SALE if anyones punchy enough i was seriously considering it...... but im 15 majors short of being able to play these im reckoning...................................,

tour stage 703 limited
yea quadra is superb. ive tried buzzillions of shafts and i always seem to come back to the quadra. it such a homely feeling. and loooooooooooooooooong ball lama. as for launch prob, the epon. id say. but only bec. i really had to think about it all pretty darn close and indistinguishable. really . i think the TS is pob the lowest .

NEW egg 17* spoon.,
hey .., tks it give me someting to do during those "non golf playing 50+ hrs a week" my thinking was , ill get a 13* as a driver replacment , i wouldnt try and use it off the fairway. and id put another low launch low spin shaft in it. and use it to place balls a bit more consistanbtly on the short stuff when the tee boxes get tight. the 15* old egg is plenty long but prob, 30 less than my driver off the tee , bec the ball flight is just so high. the new 17* is so much lower and hence prob the same length bec it rolls out more. HOWEVER........................, from the fairway the 15* with a quadra is an absolute monster. massive. its gets 30 plus yards more distance than when i use it off a tee l bec the air time is considerbaly less. the new 15* i cant wait to use tomorrow, if its like i think then the 13s not an option, the 15 will be my driver alternate and the 17 the fairway wood. oh the choices the choices one has to make!
-
NEW egg 17* spoon.,
THAST THE BIG QUESTION. i have the 15* and 18* old model with quadra fire express shafts in them. love them both. id like a 13* in the new egg as a driver replacement , but i do hit the old 15* so well., and so low with the quadra in it. i do like the new shape better it suits my eye perfectly. but the other ones are magnificent. i just had those built a cpl of weeks ago. my buddy jsut shafted his 15* with a matrix hd-6.. we're at the range tom night so il see how that goes. but i m pretty sure i will soon enough.

tour stage 703 limited
ok here it is.........., 2 lots of 9 holes with this on differnt style course over the weekend.played 18 holes with this and 9 with the epon -stinger 70x and 9 with the p-tune/ stinger 60 s. sat was short tight, lots of high elevated tee boxes shooting down to fairway kinda thing, mountian golf. and sun was chk-chk KAboooooooooooom! perfect for what i wanted to test this on apart form hitting into strong wind . firstly its long! i was a little taken aback. ididnt expect such distance, i thought it would be for more control than distance but not at all.trajectory was superb, low to mid low and ooooodles of roll. same as the range with those awful balls. the misses i hit were mosnter high slices , compared to small high slices wit htother drivers. and that was exaserbated by the shaft for sure. its definatly not the best driver to miss- hit thats for sure. the result of a bad drive with this is catastophic. much worse than most other drivers i have. but when i connected well. it was fantastic. very very hard to turn over so most good shots were straight with a tiny fade at the tail. split a lot of fairways and got a mile of roll. the fubuki worked pretty nicely, but im considering a differnt shaft in it, my quadra 75 sx is firmly in my sights. . just to soften the flex a tiny-touch without loosing that low piercing shot . dont get me wrong..., the fubuki is very very good . but i tink i can put that to good use elsewhere. i was hitting this in conjucntion with epon-stinger on sat. and the stinger felt better..., but not muh feels / performs better than the stinger tho , ( its an $800 shaft agaisnt a $ 400 one. so its not really fair.) the distacne differnce between the two wasnt really noticeable. but for sure the epon felt better. and the miss shots it has a tighter dispersion, but that might change agn after changing to the qaudra. overall for looks and prefomance this is a great driver, and if u actually like the pear shape u will LOVE this. not surprising tho with tourstage. top of the top. 9./10 hows that ?

NEW egg 17* spoon.,
i thought it would be, and it prob is. ........, but i dont care . it works brilliantly. when i saw whre it was going . it doesnt matter. put it like this i hit a tour edge exotics 15* brand new 3 wood. look s like a shruken driver, its an absolute beauty . 3 yards behind the egg , and i smashed both of them that 2* differnnce and the egg was further. im not touching this puppy!

NEW egg 17* spoon.,
the new 17* egg built and bagged this weekend , played it both days, result ..., fantastic . wasnt sure what to do with this shaft, i had it in a yamaha driver , that i wasnt using, thought this is crazy i gotta have a proper crack at this thing and BOY did i make the right decision.! my builder thought it might be a littlle on the light side at c9, i said i dont care do it if it is ill change it. as idrive said"u can have this when u pry it from my cold dead hands!" it now sounds like a normal fairway wood i was hitting if off the deck not that far behind my partner s driving. with oodles more control, off the ground no tee. average shot 260ish plus . its sensational. the abiliity to move it is much better than the original. and its 17*, its really sleek. looks terrific and no ballooning at all l. if ur undecided about getting one. have no fear ,its awsome. its better than the original.[/size]

FINALLY - DIAMANA AHINA
prob the S.. i think the S might just give a bit more, be a bit more forgiving. il lwait tiol they give me acpl to test on the range.
-
FINALLY - DIAMANA AHINA
Its a Different flex pattern to all the others its completely different. Its like the bottom 7/8s of the shaft dont budge an iota. Then at impact the top1/8 just gives A smidge then back to straight . Yes its felt a load stiffer than evertythig but in a good way ,point and shoot ,no movement sideways for shaping, obviously i couldnt see it as i was just hitting into a net but as soon as i j hit the ball thatwas my immediate reaction. YES i will def get one of these my word i will. And im thinking the yamaha v201 is the perfect match, or the epon but im not touching mine. I just imagine the flex of this shaft and the feel of the epon will be absolutely superb match.....,but a string of spagetti in the epon would feel good. Cant wait to get my hands on this club to try it at the range soon ,i begged them they said no chance not till oct, wont stop me trying tho im hoping my persuasive powers and my sheer weight of numbers will make relent soon tho

FINALLY - DIAMANA AHINA
chaps, i was getting my new egg 17* spoon re-shafted with an ozik f6m2 to use tomorrow and i happened upon the most unlikely surprise. a cpl of reps were picking up a stash of the latest and greatest , literally getting made in front of me , so my friend says here give him a hit ,see what he thinks. only got to hit it into a driving net and no more than 20 shots, but that was enough to give me a feel for whats coming in oct! its almost like u cant feel the ball! it has almost no flex and the most dynamic kick ive ever felt , its not like something ive hit previous rediculoulsy stiff but something in it doent make it feel like a steel pole, i hazzrad a guess its the butt., its not like any other diamana i can think of BUT I HAVNT HIT THE WHITE BOARD..., unfortunatly......, i wasnt allowed to take one home.., i think the mega drivers amongst us , are going to absolutely love this shaft, i think u can swing at 180 mph and itll still go straight, thast the impression i got. its great looking thing as well, kinda ali'islei/ stinger esque with the semi circled diamana logo. i hit the 70 x with the dagalo head and l loved what was in my hands. ,oh with the uber newest grip out. cpl of picys to whet ya bon apetite. again diamana are really onto something here.

Saqra Golf INB-1150 Forged Irons
yes .i was freaked out when i first saw them but i soon learned to love them my sakamotos are this way heavily reverse offset , dont ask me the nos , tho havnt a clue and trying to get infofrom him is verging on impossible. and my kyoei rafw07s continue this style , they are massively offf set. and likewise i also found my draws are alot less favourable than a cut. i also discovered by slightly de-lofting the club face i find i hit the balls miles lower than less off set irons. which is why i took them back home to the links courses. perfect match. they take some getting used to for sure, but they work nicely.

tour stage 703 limited
the epon head is the better head in my view , i like the shape , the feel and the concealment of 460 ccs. the stinger is def a factor its so tight and non side biased which i prefer. , together they are incredible. as for feel , i actually like the yamaha better than the 703. but i love the look of the TS ltd and i want it for specific purpose.

tour stage 703 limited
i can add a cpl of deets tp this topic now bec............. i pulled the trigeur , i have one. im playing on sat ill post a cpl of piccys of it, its awsome looking! 9.5* with a fubuki alpha 70x and a white golf pride sticky grip. all in all, its in the final for "the most lovely looking club" ever. 45.25 x 323 x d3 i used to own the 703 and i didnt mind it ,i used it solidly for 2 weeks back home played 10 rounds with it. the only thing i found was it was a little clumpish, not realy pear, not really round , it was nice and soild but was more for just propelling balls forward than moving them about willy nilly. distance was good ,feel was good, but juts looked a littel bit cumbersome for my taste. didnt realy "get me" the limited tho . as soon as u pick it up looks fantastic , smaller pear shaped , like its made for driving. big range sesshy last night with it on the new improved ( finally working) sega swing system installed at the DR so u can watch every shot in slow mo, 1/4 speed 1/8 speed or real time, 2 views back, front. and a swing speed monitor. i was averaging 47.6 m/s with a range of 45 - 49.8 the limited delivers a low piercing really long shot. it took me a few balls to get used to the shape and the feel., the first cpl went skyrocketing high and right with terrible swings. then i chocked down a bit on it turned a cpl over and got it wired. resulting in really long running shots ,the ball didnt go str8 up , it didnt balloon. it went pretty darn straight with a slight tail off at the end. i was imagining i was at NSW in the wind, and played the course a cpl of times , this is what this club is perfect for, splitting tight fairways and gettign a mile of role. and hitting bleow the puff . i tried a few high bombs but still found it to go a lot lower than what iwas trying to achieve. i m taking it out on sat to play so ill have a much better understanding with real balls in real conditions. but im really liking what i have here, its DEFINATLY for the good consistant driver who can control the ball well. the feel is superb, the weight suits perfectly and its custom made for windy days and bad conditions, i will say tho, NOTHING tops the epon 101, diamana 70x stinger combo yet. .......................... (yet)
