wedges , someone say wedges????? im the BIGGEST otaku for wedges the world has ever known. seriously. I currently ....... have 70 od wedges from 46* to 70* overall for OEMS I really like what PR-GR do, and what tourstage and Yamaha used to do. every year they go slightly different , carefull not to release a same as prior, im not overly genki on this or last yrs releases but their prior stuff has always been lovely to play. their old PRGR tr range ( flat sole and round sole ) is hard for me to take out of the bag depening on days grass. the spin is great without ripping balls up but enough to get ur attention. and they just look good with ONSET. can get pretty funy with these the newer range, prgr LTD and nabla black have been my go to for a while. LTD are as close to the most nondescript easy to hit wedge there is. A lovely crisp feel that gives u instant feedback , good spin, lovely matt black colour. just a " set of wedges for any bag. The nablas are smaller compact thicker much more aggressive grooves tiny thin sole these are scoring wedges u can do anything with. I game these in comps now. 52/56 with a 60* fourteen mt28. of all wedges I play, and its a diff set each week , over history I think the Yamaha black raw , fourteen mt28 prototype, tourstage x wedges ( for pear shaped maniacs) , syard bold, prgr nabla, yururi 1.618 and for lob wedges , fourteen mt5/ fourteen mt28, prgr tr are my str8 off the top of my head faves. IF I had to have just one set id go for a combo 52* Yamaha raw / or 53* fourteen mt 28 prototype for a mid loft AW yururi pw bent to 48 as a lower loft option to take the PW out of most bags bec, to be honest, they blow. 56* cant not have a 56*... hmm syard bold for grassy conds or a touratge x-wedge for summer in oz. lob wedges something form above im actually very happy to throw away the PW from virtually every set I have and play the 48* yururi 2010 MB instead. then mix match with something from above 48 + either a 52/53 then a 56/57 deepening and a flared soled 60* are my go. a few.pices which go ok

i rem the brand.. I think one of my guys tiny shops near my house used to stock these and a bunch of other really obscure shafts. as well aas things like NGS/ machline, and some other rogies I didn't have the minerals to drop coin on and try out. I used a cpl of machlines, didn't mind t hose at all.

DLC finish on putters is nice. VERY very firm and impact is instantaneous... no soft frozen butter on those!

ill add another cpl of flames to the inferno.. SAQRA and FOURTEEN saqra,-------- A little known ,less loved brand that SO FAR from what ive hit bats a long way above its (supposed) weight. 17*....NSpro 125s shafted. insanely straight VERY easy to hit, NO offset, NON hookmatron utility. it BLEW the modart m019 ut out of my bag spectacularly.... doenst fell better, doesn't sound better but boy this thing just performs, think as much to do with the 125 shaft in it. but it offers a degree of simplicity that so far ive found hard to match. I don't use it for disatance 9 see 125 shaft for explaianation...) I use it as a long chaser to par 5s where a pw lay up is better. and from the tee box on sneaky par 4s it does the job admirably. this has been the best ALL ROUND ute ive encountered to date. FOURTEEN----- I have 2 of thee now so good has the 16* NS modus 105s tee alternate been. that I thought a " proper" lofted ute might be good idea as well. so I got the 21* these are ONSET. they positively do not like to go left what so ever. even with the stock carbon shaft in regular........ yup. its till prefers to fall right. GOOD STOCK shaft btw , I have no idea who makes it ,but I don't mind it , but its going bec im going steel in this one as well. thought the 16* was too low to hit from the deck ,till last weekend where I hit 2 balls to the middle of the fairway to the short par 5 green from 230 ish out for eagles. 6 feet from the pin paid to the theory that they are one trick ponies! still prefer to thit the saqra fro mtyeh deck, its shape lends it self to a mellower piece ofmind, but the fourteen is a hammer. from the tee box its unmatchable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the 16* is one club that comes with me to every game I play along with a 5 wood and the 16.5* prgr egg MFD. I alternate depending on where im playing. The 16* on the short tight links back home is ........well id prob prefer to not bring a driver than not bring this. wont suit everyone I know, but if u pack a wee punch and u don't mind utes that lok more like woods than irons..... this is a 100% er!

do you mind if I chip in here, bec i play this shaft i nseveral pieces now.... , the tataki, its made by daiwa for labo spec, is its NOT for retial sale it came only with certain labo drivers a cpl of yrs ago, its mid maybe slighlty mid high kick, balance , for a soaring but flat flight, shingo katayama used it in his 358 driver, to maximize distance and keep t he ball going up forwards for as lon as possible, they didn't do a bad job either with that description IVE FOUND...... it doesn't like to go left , no matter what head its in. u can get pretty smart with this and itll go great, hope that helps a bit.

u seem to like that head shape huh, ? the other one u cud easily throw in to the mix is the PRGR nabla ids ver ysimlar shape. very similar IF NOT SOFTER feel. denser shafts ,like NS sp blue/shimada tour 125s,dgs200/ns 125s DO enhance the feel of the likes of mizzie/onff/epon/ prgr nabla id which are butter soft . miura.yamaha, prgr, tourstage etc... feel best with a slightly less taught shaft like NS 950s/1050, .sp orange, modus 120s dg tour lights. its a pretty discernable difference tin my book and its enough for me to oust asset bec they have non perfect shafting. but we are al la bit magimae otaku s here..............
