Due to the age of the 37, normally I would say sell the combo instead of breaking it up. But can you reuse your Monaco shafts with your new Seven irons? and maybe shaft up the Mizzies with different shafts and keep them as backup? I just started playing Monacos in Stiff with X-Blade Ltd heads and I gotta say I am pretty impressed with how stable these shafts are. Very stable yet smooth! Modus 130s were as stable but much more stout.

Stu-san, Looks square to me and the loft is low that I could not launch it high enough using a Diamana Blue. Unfortunately do not have measurements myself as I bought it used from Japan. I have had 10 deg heads before and I definitely think this one is lower lofted.

A couple of items for sale. Titleist 905R Driver 8.5* / Diamana Blue 83g Stiff / 45" head is very clean fro its age. No scratches on the crown, sole and face are very clean. some paint chips on shaft. Does not affect playability. Headcover is in mint condition. Believe it or not, this is still one of the longest drivers produced by Titleist to date. ( Well, maybe 915 go further.... ) Will sell for $90 PP net to me shipped within CONUS. Vokey SM5 54* S-Grind Gold Nickel Only used for 3 rounds and a couple of range sessions. Face and sole have some scuffs from normal usage but otherwise very clean. Grip is still pretty fresh. I can speak for DI vs BB Never tried MT and MJ unfortunately DI is mid launch low spin. BB is lower launch low spin. In other words, BB is a bit more tip stiff. DI and BB feel equally smooth in my opinion.

I will remember that Steve. :) Knowing that it's possibly the last brand new burning copper Samurai putter on earth, ( until Yamada-san decides he wants to make more, that is... ) so far I have been reluctant to even unwrap the plastic on the leather grip.

A long shot on the SM490A. Back in the days, I think Gold's putters were really rare. I actually have one T102 in JIS SUS 303 and I think it is the best looking and feeling anser head ever. I just want another one hopefully in SM490A if you like SM490A there is currently a Kitada putter head in SM490A wtth a Black Boron finish on the Yahoo JP Auc site now. Some of us in the last few years have tried Kitada heads and liked them. Their heads are actually not bad and they use top notch material but logo and lettering are rather hideous :)

Just missed on opportunity on Yahoo Japan auction the other day for a P102 in SM490A It has stuck in my head with an urge to get one! Would be just as happy with Carbon Steel or SUS303. These are older models probably dating back to 2008 or 2009. I believe collaboration models also existed with Dance With Dragon and Gauge Design around the same time. Thanks!

I think the golf industry in Japan as a whole is not set up to grow the sport. They are having difficulties in finding sponsorship even for professional JGTO events. To play golf is still a bit expensive in Japan. When the economy is bad, the luxury items are dropped first. Yes there are a lot of players there. But I think the majority get to play only a few round a year on the course. Hence their used equipment are actually hardly used..
