Control shaft ?
My SS is similar to yours. Have you tried heavier weight shafts in your drivers? Waccine GR 77 or GR 88 are splendid shafts for control. heavier weight, very stable and low spin. Even with the added weight, they still deliver good distance. I also use Diamana S73 and S83 in my other drivers. Just a well balanced shaft for the purpose. I do however end up tipping the Diamana 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch to help get rid of that slight lively feel off the tip. Also highly recommend is Fire Express Max WBQ 75. I unfortunately never got along well with any of the Crazy shafts except the Boron.

Diamana X 60 S
Based on info on the Miura website, the SIT460 has a 8.5mm inner diameter hosel ( .335" ) Since the Diamana X is .335" tip, using it for this head should not be a problem. .350" hosels and shaft tips for drivers are getting rare these days.

Where to get yamada putters
Got a response back from Yamada. Lucky me. They had a Samurai burning copper in stock! Ordered one in 35" direct via email + paypal. Dang, that was too easy! ( I hope that website was legit , that's ok , I am Paypal protected. ) With the current $ to yen exchange rate, price was great too! Should be here in a month or so.

JBeam Yamazaki Pro ZY-11
That Black 435 looks really good! If it is really limited edition, I have a feeling they will go really fast! From what I have read, BM 435 is still the most popular head used by top amateurs in Japan. As for the design change on the face, what exactly did they do? I see some micro grooves but does it still use the same DAT55? Is the finish similar to the Black IP of the 425 tour? ( it looks a bit different from your pics ) "Lower spin" than the normal 435 suggests higher loft needed for most people?!

I also heard a blacked out jbeam 435 is also being released soon?

Skitter shafts
Just purchased a shaft called Skitter . ( skitter-japan.main.jp/ ) I know they have been around for quite some time. but I actually got to test their drivers last year while I was in Japan. Interesting technology. Basically an inner shaft technology using 50T High Mod Carbon that allows them to make the overall flex of the shaft much weaker but still able to provide stable impact. The 70g XX flex that I got is rated at around 239 cpm or some spaghetti like ridiculous low number. Their claim is that you can make an easy but thorough swing and the ball will fly as far but much straighter than with your normal shafted driver. When I tried their club last year, I could not bend the ball at all and did get decent distance. So I think the technology works as claimed at least to some extent. Still need to look for a head to pair it with but I was thinking about a JBeam/Crazy 435 or something. We'll see how this experiment goes. Will update in the spring when I have some comparo with my normal shafted drivers. Has anyone else tried these shafts?

Snapped FEX WBQ
Very nice to have an expert's view of the situation! Thank you for pitching in!! I think it is time for me to invest in a new shaft puller tool that will pull the head with minimal heat. What would be your recommendation? I was thinking about the Roberts hydraulic but a bit concerned that it will put too much mechanical pressure on the hosel before any epoxy breakdown starts.

Snapped FEX WBQ
Thanks Chris. Unfortunately not bought from TSG. Really appreciate your willingness to help, though. Everything is settled now. Thanks. Might have been my pulling, might have been stress during shipping. If you can, please help Michael locate a replacement shaft.

Snapped FEX WBQ
This was my shaft previously. I only pulled it twice. Really shocked at what has happened here.

Mitsubishi's new Iron Shaft Technology OT Iron
"FRANKI" comes from the Japanese word "furanki" which is the term used for "egg incubator machine" MRC came up with this "FRANKI" project to develop ideas into innovative products. I want to try this shaft if they ever come up with a .355 model with slightly more weight. say around 115g If that dispersion chart is real, they are on to something here!

Epon drivers - what's the difference?
I have tried all of them and my opinon is that they have progressively improved on the forgiveness over the years in my opinion. Having said that, even with the 103 , the 10x series are still more of players driver compared to the 15x series. Distance wise, I think they are all similar provided you can pure them. The slightly added forgiveness definitely contributes to consistency in distance and accuracy. Also, out those 4 models, 103 is easiest to launch. For me, I want even more forgiveness, so I am sticking with the 153 for now. It provides modern USDM like forgivness with signature Epon feel. I unforunately do not have experience with the Crazy 460 but knowing it uses DAT55 for the face, I can imagine it will provide great distance but perhaps less muted in the sound department.
