  1. 811 today is used primarily for body / crown but I have seen 8-1-1 being used on the face before. In fact, I believe my trusty Ping G20 uses 8-1-1 entirely. G20 still does quite well compared to other Ping drivers in the last 5 years. https://youtu.be/cOVYMHhF7So So maybe that says something about 8-1-1 Ti.

  3. There is actually a better way. The sleeve made of aluminium can be carefully pulled out using the bigger screw extractors along with a heat gun. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-Screw-Extractor-Set/999957791?cm_mmc=SCE_PLA-_-ToolsAndHardware-_-MechanicsTools-_-999957791:Kobalt&CAWELAID=&kpid=999957791&CAGPSPN=pla&store_code=1573&k_clickID=4cddd4aa-0783-4ea7-b752-f289de7e40b6&gclid=CjwKCAjwwbHWBRBWEiwAMIV7ExUFBs-3I-laum5c1XzrqCuxzOQq67eyRz7tSqEQZMwy9wdcQyoUFxoCqg4QAvD_BwE You will be left with some small marks on the inner portion of the sleeve from the extractor catching the edges. Make sure sharp edges are filed down afterwards. DO NOT USE PLIERS to pull or rotate the sleeve as you are trying to extract it. Only rely on the screw extractor to pull the sleeve out of the head. I have done this a couple of times on Roddio heads and it worked well. Having said that, I still hate Roddio ( and OnOff ) for not providing replacement sleeves and parts for us hobby club builders.
  4. I really wished it worked better for me but oh well. At least I Now I know what doesn’t work. :)
  5. It’s amazing how much difference the shape, weight and balance makes on putts. I would rather use my pretty Benock blade but when it comes to actually making putts, can’t argue with the one that works no matter how ugly they are... I will still use my blades for casual outings but not for my Saturday Men’s club when I need to score low.
  6. I’ve always liked the odyssey 7 model and I though the NM1 could work but it didn’t . Got me an O Works 7s and it’s now in the bag for me it’s about the alignment.
  7. PRGR , Yamaha, Yonex and some of the boutique brands have adjustable these days.

  9. Great review Stew-san!! My 7D shaft has been in a few heads but not in a Jbeam yet. Maybe it's time for me to try!!?
  10. Technically, these epoxied aluminium sleeves need to be removed and replaced with a new one.... says OnOff. ( same with Roddio ) Since the sleeve is epoxied into the hosel probably using the same epoxy used to bond the shaft to the sleeve, shaft removal will inevitably heat up the bond between the hosel and the sleeve and thus weaken the bond between the hosel and sleeve. Personally, I'd be hesitant to leave the sleeve in there for a reshaft. OnOff and Roddio also makes sure these replacement parts are not available in the market. They don't want hobby builders and shaft tinkerers mess around with this. In my opinion, I think this is making matters worse where incorrect reshafting is being done anyway and elevating the risk of potential failure with their products.
  11. 1. Shimada K's 8001 shafts 4-PW + GW + SW - 5i was built to 38.25" - Flex is a single flex CPM wise comes out almost identical to Modus 120 S which as most of you know, softer than most other S flex - Taper tip .355" weight is about 100g - Cosmetically in excellent condition. - Grips are MCC Plus 4 Align on the 4-PW but the regular MCC Plus 4 on the wedges with lots of life left - Also installed are Pro Soft inserts to eliminate unwanted vibration. - Shaft alone will cost $450+ from pro shop. ( + grips + insert will add up to more ) SOLD!! 2. PRGR RS Forged 57 deg wedge - Condition is 8.5/10 some mark on the face and sole. - Stock shaft and grip standard L/L/L $75 $50 including shipping in the US ( overseas for additional $25 ) 3. Speeder Evolution IV 661 X Flex one time pull - 44.25" - Untipped - One time pull using pneumatic shaft puller - Cosmetically in perfect condition. SOLD 4. Tourstage X Drive P02-6 9.5deg driver / Skitter Athlete Shaft - Last generation of Endo forged Tourstage drivers. - Limited Edition 365cc head - Normal marks on sole from normal usage. Face is clean. Tiny dimple on the heel side of the sole .. does not affect performance. - Shaft is a Skitter Athlete 550 shaft which is designated as XX flex but its one of those noodle shafts that feels more like a Junior flex shaft. Believe it or not, when using this club, I can increase my head speed to 120 mph. Normally I am at around 105 mph at the most. Take it for what it's worth. The noodle soft shaft does give good training like "Orange Whip" trainer. Does improve tempo for sure. - Built to 46" SOLD
  12. The 2g = 1 SW is for the head. Grip weight effects are in the order of 5g = 1 SW Standard vs Mid for Golf pride products can be different as much as 15g. So yes, it will bring the swing weight. Use this calculator and change the weight of the grip to see its effects on SW. http://www.golf-components.com/swing-weight-calculator.html
  13. I have!! it is very very good. Despite the Neo-MB looks, as the name states it hits like a Muscle Cavity. Side by side against my Shinagawa MB at address, the blade length actually looks a bit shorter at address likely due to the toe side slightly squared off instead of the more common rounded profile. Feel is really good. When you hit the sweet spot it is as soft as anything I've hit. Very forgiving considering its looks.
  14. nobmontana replied to cuistot's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Congrats Cuistot!! gotta schedule our next outing so you can show off your newly finished Benock!! Looks beautiful!
  15. New video from Grandista regarding the designed of this RS-D https://youtu.be/m3lMeXSkUeQ - CG distance shorter CG depth is shallower: Shorter CG distance makes it easier to turn the head at impact, easier to hit a draw. Shallower CG Depth helps reduce spin. - Crown has a spherical shape which promotes the crown to flex at impact. This will help promote a higher launch angle to compensate for the lower spin. - SP700 face + 6-4 TI Body helps with better acoustics and feel at impact. - High trajectory , Easier to Draw , Good acoustics and feel , good distance performance - Best Grandista driver thus far....
  16. Laws of physics probably don't apply when ball speeds are nearing speed of sound.
  17. I am not sure if you want to use the "Draw" term in the same sense as USDM "Draw" models. Yes, the CG distance is shorter at 35mm in this RS-D model vs 40mm they had for the RS-001 model so it is definitely going to be easier to turn the head over at impact. As a result, it makes it easier to hit a draw. This, however, does not mean that you always get draw shots no matter what you do. I don't think the intended audience is a banana slice hitter. I guess the understanding here is that draw balls are longer. Thus, drivers with CG locations to make it easier to hit draws are thought to produce longer drives. I can believe this. My friend is currently struggling with a fade drive.... he started doing some drill for hitting it straighter or whatever.... and now his natural draw is gone. Between his current fade and his previous draw, the distance with his fade is shorter by a good 20 yards.
  18. All titanium head with SP700 face! Same beautiful shape that follows the LS-001 Can't wait to give this a try!!
