  1. Also forgot about the glittery paint on the crown. probably a love or hate type of thing.
  2. While I do not play any of the current JBeams, I did test out the G Alpha and what really took me by surprise is that the sound and feel are now completely different. None of that "Clanky" sound anymore. It's now a refined sound and feel. The overall shape has not really changed. ( at least I could not notice it. ) If they told me that it used SP700 for the face material, I'd totally believe it, but it seems like they want to keep that information a secret. they call it 「静音」 or "Quiet Sound" technology. Not sure how the distance and spin performance compare to the previous gen heads but definitely worth a try, I think. The added laser milling on the face may have some impact on performance as well.
  3. Material used by Benock is probably not all that different from other brands. But reading thru some of their process, the approach to milling seems to be non traditional ( from a putter milling perspective ) where they use milling techniques normally used in manufacturing of metal micro molds. The way they mill creates far less stress on the metal and achieves more exact specs is my understanding. Tolerance and precision is likely at a very different level compared to other 303 putters from other brands. I am sure Benock can do designs from scratch as full custom option if you know your specs and can specify exact dimensions of the head shape. Heck maybe there’s a 3D scanner where they take an actual 009 head and read in all the dimensions into a CAD software!! I love technology!!! On the flip side, Perhaps a 009 is a 009 because it’s made by Cameron. What makes a 009 special maybe because they still incorporate hand grinding at the end by a Master Craftsman . Personally I’d take a Lexus with their own design rather than a Ferrari made at a Toyota factory. My thought is that “how it’s made “ and “by whom” are important aspects of product identity.
  4. I actually like Benock’s design because they are different from the mainstream shapes. So I don’t understand why you’d want a Cameron signature shape made by Benock. 316L is supposed to be more anti corrosion and slightly softer... when I tried 303 and 316 side by side at the fitting I really could not tell the difference. But that’s just me.
  5. White Dragon looks really good!!

Ridiculous price! Someone grab this quick!
  7. 10.3 deg 202.8g is the exact spec of the head. Trajectory is more like a typical 9.5 especially with this shaft ( lower launch shaft ) The look at address is actually pretty similar to the RS-001. I have read a Japanese blog somewhere that there is currently only one OEM factory in Japan who can manufacture carbon crown driver heads. Face material on the Zodia also being SP700, I am guessing that there is a chance that the RS-001 Ver. S and this Z921CC are possibly made by the same company? Not sure... I had the RS-001 Ver. S before and I feel that this Zodia is lower launching and spinning of the two even though the shape at address and material are very similar. CG location is probably very different. Both had similar feel at impact. SP700 in my opinion provides the best feel at impact. Very refined and softer feeling but still feels hot off the face. My favorite face material (for drivers) at the moment.
  8. Love those MP4s and the Watanabe ferrules look great on them!!
  9. After I got the Benock putter, Geo is getting zero play time. I am also wanting a mallet in my rotation to occasionally “change it up” to play something different enough than to just rotate thru different but similar blades.
  10. Updated pricing for the new year! 1. Labospec RB247G 4-PW head only Sold 2. Zodia Z921 CC driver head only These heads were just released August 2017. 10.3deg, 203g, neutral face angle Carbon Crown Construction with SP 700 face material Trajectory is more like your typical 9 deg head due to low spin. Sound and feel are one of the best I have tried. 9.5/10 condition with only one range session. Looks new. Wouldn't mind playing these at all but my Modart MA01D+R is working really well for me now. Comes with head cover in near new condition. $375 + actual shipping 3. Mizuno MP Craft 2014 driver / Kurokage Prototype 2013 60 Stiff 8.5/10 condition This is the last "MP Craft" model driver that Mizuno came out with. The current MP Type 1 and Type 2 driver are not as refined as these. Signature Mizuno feel and sound. Such a smooth combo with the Kurokage TiNi Proto. 9.5 deg 45.5" D2 / Comes with original headcover in excellent condition $225 + actual shipping
  11. From my experience, MCI blacks are slightly less high launch compared to the Mitsubishi OTi. What I found different about the MCI blacks are the progressive weights with the longer shafts having lighter weight. It really made the longer clubs easy to launch and swing. I would say feel goes to OTi. Slightly better especially on the shorter irons. OTi in general are super smooth.
  12. "One shaft fits all" concept probably depends on what you define as "fit" for your swing. I mean.. I can hit my daughter's Cobra driver with L-flex pretty straight and 220 yards ... but I can hit the ball further and straighter with my Modart + Seven Dreamers combo. Maybe that is an extreme example but if you want optimized trajectory, launch, spin, dispersion etc... there is no way that a single flex profile can deliver all these at an optimized level for everyone. Having said that, I believe these shafts are designed for work "pretty well" with swings that are considered "moderate." moderate tempo, moderate transition, moderate speed ... but what the heck is "moderate" in the first place? Perhaps the company who produces these shafts have loads and loads of swing analysis data and they designed the shaft to cover .. say 70% of the swings with one shaft. That in itself is an technological accomplishment, but where they typically fail is to disclose and describe their criteria for what they consider to be "fit" .. I personally have wanted to try the Roddio Amorphous Slim mostly because of my interest in Amorphous metal technology and the appearance of the shaft with the carbon weaving and Amorphous wires visible!!! Such a cool looking shaft!! However, with all the fitting I have done in the past including Seven Dreamers fitting, I now know that my swing requires a tip stiff profile with low torque. Most single flex shaft specs that I have seen are not tip stiff and are not low torque .....
  13. Not sure what year these are ... but MP-33 debut was 2001. The "M" logo is the original logo before they switched to runbird logos towards the end. Not brand new and I got them second hand, but I have boxed these until I retire and golf is all I do. :)
  14. Mitsubishi OTi 105 was really good. Super smooth feel. Tempted to try their new OTi Tours. If you really have aggressive swing, Crazy STP shafts may be an option as well.. I have Crazy CBI 80 LTD from a few years ago in my Seven x Shinagawa MBs and just love the combo!! Fujikura MCI Black are good too and very smooth. Not sure how well it works with aggressive swings.
  15. From what I have read in Japanese blog posts, they are slightly larger sized, ( 1mm more toe to heel) sole width is also slightly wider, and from pictures, slightly thicker top line than the X-CB. The face material on the CBP are also Chromoly and supposedly feel very soft at impact . I've not tried it. So I think you should get them and provide us reviews! :)
  16. I used to have a set of Tourstage X Blade 709 Limited combos. 3,4,5 are Cavity , 6,7,8 are Half Cavity 9,PW are Blades. S20C Endo forged goodness. That was the last of the "Tourstage" branded X-Blade irons before they switched to Bridgetsone brand. http://www.bs-sports.co.jp/press/2013/g1001_x-blade_limited/g1001_x-blade_limited.pdf I think a used set can be had for reasonable prices these days. I currently use Bridgestone J015CB irons which look like musclebacks at address but it is one of the more forgiving Players CB I have played. http://www.bs-golf.com/bs-products/j015/product/iron.html I believe the Tour B X-CBs are very similar to these from a design perspective.
  17. Seven MCBs might fit the criteria the best. Forgiveness would be similar to a Game Improvement set but lofts are Player’s CB specs. It’s a rare breed. You can custom order Miura PP9003 with weaker lofts which might be another good option. Both of these irons would be more forgiving than Z765 and likely be better feeling in my personal opinion. But then again feel is highly subjective.
  18. Yup. I had it earlier in the year. This is a very well balanced driver. Type 1 is more traditional Mizuno MP shape. Type 2 I think is aimed at players who's gotten used to USDM forgiveness and adjustability but seek Japanese traditional shape. I prefer my drivers to have bonded hosel.. reason why I tried it but let it go rather quickly. Contrary to what a lot of people think, the smaller type 1 is easier to draw and type 2 from other reviews and my experience is straight to slight fade biased. Feel and sound is one of the best in the market. Lively and refined.
  19. yeah... some pics so you know what I mean.
  20. 2014 model MP Craft is not really "adjustable." = there is no shaft adapter That is a rubber cover that goes over the Titanium hosel. It uses epoxy bonded shaft.
  21. " certain level of quality, functionality and workmanship " Ummm You just described the majority of JDM drivers. You need to state your preferred head shape , head size, preferred trajectory, workability vs forgiveness, shorter build or longer build... there are literally ton of choices.
