  1. I only had the wedges for a few weeks before I got them redone. But I know for sure that my 58* allowed me to hit a wider variety of shots. If a grind suits you (and Ari does an awful lot of work to ensure that it does) you will strike the ball more consistently. Does this lower your score? I think so. Solid ball striking leads to more consistent distance control, and if you ask any pro he will tell you thats the key to good wedge play. Ask Tiger how far he hits a 3/4 wedge and its 84 yards, not 80 to 90.
  2. Bernard - there is so much info on the boards, and a lot of it is just contradictory. At this stage you know enough "opinions" and its time for you to suck it up and buy em!

And we are still to get any money from dearest Kheed. Whats strange about that name zip... is that on his email a/c the name that comes up is "Inbsideman in"
  5. For God's sake its spoilt little brats like you that give teenagers a bad name. Seriously - where do you think you are going to get in life with an attitude like this? Sure daddy might be giving you a lot of "rope" right now, but as the saying goes... just enough to hang yourself. Possibly the only constructive thing you could ever do with your life :-)

    SOLD! Thanks Neil. Enjoy
  7. Chris absolutely adores the Graphite Design shafts. I have no tried any high end ones just yet, but am thinking about trying out the W70 very soon in a 983E.

I have one ticket - single pass to this years British Open at Royal Troon for the full week. Market value of GB Stg 165 (says it on the ticket) which is like $300. I am not looking for near that price so make me offers.
  9. I thought I posted a reply to this but evidently not. I dont see the increase in SW affecting your SS. Its like 3 grams extra so you really cant expect a huge difference.
  10. Here they are *yes patrick has too much time on his hands* Cally BB2 - 1.486 MARU 652 - 1.472 MARU Tour AD - 1.459 R7 Tour TP 660TR - 1.443 Gemini with Aerotech - 1.43 Gemini with TrTi46 - 1.424 Tour K 660TR - 1.40 J340 Pro 95 - 1.393 X-Drive 390 Aerotech - 1.39
  11. WOW - those are some sweet irons. Whoever gets them is getting a great deal!
  12. Great review Ari. Its really nice to see some numbers to back up what you are saying & they are nicely presented. A1 in clarity :o I am really glad you like the MARU - just so that our readers at home know, thats my MARU. The one that no one would buy! lol Anyways a few questions - how is it that your highest SS was with the 44" driver? What were the lengths of the others? I notice your spin rate REALLY varies with the drivers, and this is on solid hits. I think thats why I liked the E and MARU - they spin less and the wind doesnt affect them.
  13. great irons breal - you are really lucky to get a set like those. one of a kind and top quality right across the board.
  14. I remember seening Paul Casey with a CT Cameron like the one above. Is it to raise the MOI? Because can Cameron not give them whatever headweight they want? (by not milling the cavity as deep?)

    I am considering it...
  16. You know Haribo I think you are right. From all my readings of the reviews of the R7, not one has said "It turned my slice into a power fade" I have not personally hit it, but when they come out in Ireland I hope to give it a whirl *hopefully by 2008* Pepe said it best when talking about the R7 - he said that once he got the weight configuration he liked, he would throw the rest of the weights into the Ocean!

I would say so. I used to talk to him on MSN (before he decided to run off with all my money - now he is never online) and he made out that he was a good golfer. With a name like his, its pretty hard for it to be a fake.
  18. Srixon have stopped production already? I remember the rep telling me that they were delayed all last year with the mould having to be redone. Seems strange that when they just get out production, they stop!
  19. That really scares me! lol what is so great about 3 feet of carbon? feck it I know some girls that weigh more than the advised payload!lol I cant see it working - you see how they say its going to be in a place of nice weather? That doesnt exactly fill be with confidence. What about micrometeoric shows? Those happen all the time - just look at the moon!
  20. that is absolutely correct rob - you know your stuff.

And a further :-) :) Still no money from Kheed, and he hasnt returned my emails, or Ari's emails/PMs.

well the demand dictates the price. Guess someone mis judged the market. I think they will drop evenmore with the TP. Think about it - 3 different $250 shafts, all the weight options you could ever want (most Tour are just coming with 2-10-10-2) square to open face, .335" tip and warranty!

I was at the British Open last year and Pádraig, Darrren Clarke and Retief were the big name players working with Harold Swash. He had some following actually - he had a fwe gizmos to help with putter. One that caught my eye was the "steel ruler" ie you putted a long metal strip and it had to be PERFECT otherwise the ball would roll off. Harrington was doing this & using a weird grip - just palms facing eachother on either side of the grip. I know Sergio did use a Yes! at least 2 times in 2003, he had it in his contract with Scotty. I have yet to see a head style I like though - the "newport" shaft has a 2 tone topline which I do not like.
  24. thanks for the reply chris. am i dreaming or are they a crazy prize? like $300 or something like that. they do look sweet though....
  25. From those pics they look good - any one of it at address? I would like to give it a whirl actually. Is there one like it that is actually a "woman's" club but men use it? Or am I imagining things?
