  1. I was amazed that the deep hosel in a 435 would make a x stiff pretty much too stiff for me... I had been playing a quadra max in the standard hosel of a 535...but in a 435 I think I need to go one flex down. Anybody found this to be true too.because I used an Sx quadra fe in my busted 435 head... Put in the 535 and it felt like a wet noodle. I saw a J Beam black 435. With a Trpx xline concept sx 45" d3 cpm 284 with a 7inch clamp... That's slots for an Sx shaft.
  2. Correct me if I wrong. My through my tinkering a lighter shaft means less heads weight required. If ratio of shaft weight to head 10g in favour of the head. But he has changed his in I think on the 661.

  4. Thinking about doing the S yard bold wedges in copper... By the was Nob San....very nice
  5. Yeah. I only released it now. They using full length 90t !! carbon sheets and today. I think dreamer had a swing of it last night on trackman with a ping g30 head. Speeder 661 stiff was coming out 4000 and the platinum 2000+. But the smash was like 1.48-1.5 and great launch. That's fantastic numbers makes me want to try one.
  6. Hi My swing speed average is almost the same as yours and I found the TRPX x-line concept SX flex to be more than sufficient, in fact that can be almost too stiff if you are swing ing bad on that day. You don't always have to be X flex. Tatsuro who swing around 110mph even use a bangvoo 787 in stiff. I think it depends on the shaft. Like in most Crazy shafts in the 65g range and Quadra fire express in the 75g range SX is really good choice for your SS.basileus Z 70g is also plus the Trpx X line are really antileft. This opens up your choices in shaft available to be purchased. Hope that helps with shafts and on BST patience to wait is great. Something always turns up. We all change our equipment like underwear. I know because I just sold a couple of shaft on BST "Thanks!!" For a $220....

  12. The Jbeam 535. It's Nice and forgiving. But didn't have the hard edge of feel a TrpxD-013 or Fx435.It hard to describe, like IMO the 535 feels almost Epon like.
  13. Selling J Beam 535 9.5 Degrees Square face driver head in MINT condition/ very light use, I haven't had it long... with original head cover. The head has 3-4g of hot melt in it so the sound is more clicky but still pleaseant. The club was played at 45.5" and the 3,1,3g weight arrangement gave it a swing weight of D1. Price is gifted PP plus freight ...freight is about $20 max air parcel registered. PS As with all my other J Beams, unfortunately it doesn't take many balls for the paint fill to peel out of the grooves. It hasn't even hit the course. Justa few range sessions on mats.

  15. Selling Crazy Ly-01 Black 7.4 flex. Came out of the closet as I don't think i'll ever use it. Pulled it from my Jbeam 435 previously. Played it to 46". I found the shaft too light 59g and to soft for my liking. However, it might suit someone else really well so enjoy. It hasn't seen much use. The tip is on excellent condition!! after the extraction. Total length with grip is 44 5/8". Price $xxxusd PP gifted plus freight. Shaft in excellent condition and so is the grip.
  16. I know it's off topic. But would this affect the J beam 435 black out too?

    Thanks Stew..great information.
  21. Dean I reckon you'll find the launch of this combo comes out of a different window "higher"compared to the fx425 tour. Spin was comparative with the 435/425. Very easy head to hit but still found the 425/435 longer as I got heaps more roll. Suits softer fairways. But if you are playing against the Fremantle doctor then the 425 would be the weapon of choice.

Hi Stew, I play the SPB x softstepped with my AFTours and they are just about perfect. Have a set of P1 I am going to shaft up and thought maybe try the monocos either X SS or Stiff HS. Are the monocos S stiffer than the Dgs300. I find s300 too loose. Cheers

Wondering how hard stepping the monacos would work? But, geez thanks for the great review.
