  1. Not sure I even really need this, but looking to complete a set which I'm soft-stepping, so will need a 2i length for my 3i. Let me know if you have one and what you're asking, thanks.

thanks for a compelling write up, Richard, the urge grows with each TSG'er review...this might signal some collective purges. my question now is, will you ever pick up any of your older builds just for sh!ts n giggles??
  3. I agree to a certain extent. Of course past sales help set starting point for value, whether you're the seller or buyer, but as we all know, markets are transitory in nature, and that means that data that is only a few months old holds little relevance to the current market trend at the current time of investigation. For example, not too long ago, a few Epon Zen's came up on the BST w/ in maybe a week of each other. That particular market was way different than say 6 - 8 months prior to that when maybe only 1 Zen came up over the course of several months. If I was shopping for one of those Zen's when there were a few available, the data I got from the last sale (if the selling price was disclosed) would not necessarily help me in setting the fair market value in the market that I was in when ready to purchase, because there were more available and the competition would naturally lower the price. And to my point about linear depreciating scales based off last sales price, if the one Zen came up at a time when there were no others being offered, if everyone knew what it's last sale price was, potential buyers may not want to pay the higher asking (which is warranted in a time of low supply and high demand), just because they saw that it sold less last time around, even if it was in say, flawless condition. From my observations and experience, that is just how we are wired as humans, hard to swallow paying more for something when we knew it sold for less before us. But, as we all know, the ho's in us make us pay exorbitant amounts for things to satisfy our urges in times of low supply! lol All good points here, but I'm of the belief that leaving the last sales price around only muddles the water and doesn't allow for true market demand to dictate price, and in this high end JDM market, that is really what keeps things flowing between us all...my 2 cents =)
  4. I think the etiquette to remove the listed/sold price is to promote a true market demand for something instead of a linear depreciating scale based off what that particular item sold for last. As a buyer, sometimes when you know exactly for how much it sold for last, you may not want to pay the asking even though that may be what the real market value is at that given time. Prices will adjust naturally depending on demand IMO

what's the head weight on that 435?
  6. I was under the impression that a major difference is the thinner face on the ST, which produces higher COR but not suitable for the 105+ swinger due to potential damage...am I way off??
  7. haven't seen hutch in awhile : / hopefully things are ok and he's just been indisposed with too much work which ultimately means more $$ for cool gear :)
  8. $1203.34 US or thereabouts
  9. is it actual gold plating or just the name? would think gold would be too soft and expensive? can u give us a little more info on what it actually is? looks fantastic
  10. Vega, no, certainly not a low launching head, quite the opposite in fact. My issues were indian, not arrow, but I've since grooved my swing a bit. My history w/ 3 woods are rather polarizing...it's either perfect crushes or the worst flubbery you've ever seen, so I try not to tinker too much w/ this particular club, and look for something that is forgiving and easy to hit. The f3 is forgiving but the W is not ideal for a fairway wood is what I've discovered, but now that my swing is grooved for this club again, the results aren't bad. I still think I can get a shaft that works better, and even a head that suits me more. C is right, its a little bulky and the low profile face can lead to some dummy marks or chipped toplines if you're not the purest of strikers. That being said, it's straight and long when you get a good strike. It sits rather flat though, so if you're looking for a leading edge that digs in a littler more w/ better turf interaction, this is not your club, me thinks.
  11. Thanks guys for all the suggestions. Threw a WTB out there for the B series, and keeping my eye out for other options. Hit the f3 w/ the W again yesterday at the range and wasn't as bad now that my swing is grooving a bit better, but def am open to more experiments.
  12. Longer club essentially. I haven't hit both on a TM or anything w/ specific accuracy and hard numbers, but can tell at my usual range that I'm definitely hitting them longer than when I went straight in. All the feedback has been the P2's are really great (more so than most expected) and thats good news as it goes back on the radar for things to try =) Any specifics you would say make them better?
  13. I think Ian has a set for sale, or at least know someone who does. Epon Personal 1's are superb feeling and not demanding to hit. I soft stepped mine 1x in Monaco's to get back the distance loss the heads tend to produce for most people. There's a set of heads only on BST as well.
  14. Size-wise, how would it compare to say Romaro Type R ut and the Modart ut?
  15. had an 11.5 for a hot second and it was to the moon for me, esp being a high ball hitter as it is. roll wasn't great, but likely due to such a high ball flight, it was all carry and long at that

did they all come with copper underlay stock?
  17. Awesome! Is the finish in the first pic the same as the others? Looks much darker, almost like Black Boron. Love the soft black though, great choice...been thinking about what to send in and lagging because of indecision, but now you got me motivated to get some stuff done pronto!

Looking for a Diamana B series shaft in either driver length or appropriately-tipped 3 wood length. Would like to stay in the 70g range in ideally an S flex but might be able to figure out something that would work if your specs don't match that exactly. Let me know what you have and what you're asking, thanks!
  19. Seriously, sweet deal! So the Tours have kicked these out Ian?? I found that these were consistently a club longer than the Tours and still with great feel, but the Tours definitely had tighter dispersion. GLWS buddy!
  20. any good recommendations, Chris? while I do like the forgiveness, it might be a deal breaker for me to not be able to get good deck action. Is the TS358 a much better 3 wood for hitting off the deck?
  21. Hey guys, need some quick help on a good fairway shaft for my Ryoma f3. I've got a Diamana W series in it right now (70s) and I'm not getting a great launch from it, esp off the deck (it's low and doesn't feel great, which i think is due to a stiffer tip, which isn't ideal in a 3 wood). Was thinking of maybe putting a Whiteboard in it as there is an opportunity to get one (83g s-flex) at the right length for a good price, but not sure that will solve my problem. Should I really just look for a Blueboard? Any other Diamana recommendations for a 3 wood shaft? If there's nothing that suits, perhaps I just need to get a FW80 or something similar, but just wanted to get some feedback from you guys. Thanks!

look sweet with the paintfill removed! really am starting to love mine, and these are in amazing shape! GLWS
  23. they look fantastic Ian, and they feel great and are not hard to hit. I would snatch these up if I didn't have the MR23 CB's already and believe me, I've considered getting them anyways, but just too many sets going on right now. guys, these are great as is, but can you imagine a refinish by TSG Works in the future?? someone buy them already! Good luck mate!
  24. I do as well and while the 535 is new and have only little time with it, I have to say its growing on me. Ball flight is higher than my TRPX D at the same loft for the head, but the shafts are different. Diamana X in the TRPX and Crazy Boron in the 535...all around winner goes to the TRPX. I love the sound and feel of the head (sounds like a crunching crushing blow) and its very forgiving...combine that w/ an awesome shaft in the Diamana X and it's very hard to not put this in the bag every round. It's definitely longer as well, but I think that might have something to do w/ the shaft (length is longer and the way this shaft loads and unloads for me is perfect), but having a nice big sweet spot helps as well! Like I said though, the 535 is growing on me and looks fantastic (white head w/ white and red Crazy Boron!), but the sound is a little more of a metallic pop than the crunch that inspires a lot of confidence for me on impact (TRPX). Length-wise, the 535 plays at 44.5" and the TRPX is at 45" Can't go wrong with either, like Ash said, just make sure you pair either w/ a complementing shaft.
