MODART - MA01H Hybrid
Here's the MA01H Hybrid by Modart, I haven't hit it yet but will soon, this modart hybrid is shafted with the Crazy Black Utility and that will be going up against the Ryoma U w/stock shaft.. These two couldn't be more different I'll post the comparo soon. My initial impressions are that it's small and it reminds me somewhat of the Callaway JDM Legacy utility which I really did like as it was very easy to get up into the air and had a beautiful trajectory even with steel. This too is supposedly anti-left. It also has a little bit of offset as well which is interesting.

My New Favorite Wedges - Suda Grinds by Modart
Gun Blue will wear but it's similar to what over 60% of tour pro's play. I suggest the plated satin or black boron. black boron is a dark plating that doesn't rust and looks better and more uniform than gun blue this finish has a firmer feel to it. The plated satin is as the pics show and it feels just right imo. kinda soft w/feedback. These are handmade to the customers specs even bounce & sole grind. Takes about 6 weeks for a plated wedge, raw 3-4 weeks. If you don't want to wait we ordered 10 extra sets of 52/58 combo's with Modus 130 (just like set in photos) but even these should go quick. I suggest it like this, I'm blown away at their performance, feel, and feedback.

We are bringing in a few more seven heads in that same answer shape and even the L putter shape In SM490A.- Epon Wedges
There are so many to choose from in JDM land. If you want uber soft Custom Yoro Mizunos. We can also get Buchi or Modart in Copper, it's not the same copper as Epon it's a bit lighter and brighter, 2 versions brushed and gloss. In no particular order: Titleist Cold Forged Vokey Miura 5000WC Yamaha Tour Model 2014 Modart Custom Suda Buchi Customs S-Yard Bold Wedge by KK Also in regards to shafts you may want to try the lighter MCI's, the new NS Zelos, or even graphite.- MODART - MA01F Fairway Wood
From what I understand they are working on all new shafts and equipment. Toyoshima is still involved, not sure if he is the pres. or what but that tells me we should see more than just shafts, wedges and irons hopefully too.- MODART - MA01F Fairway Wood
Guys there are still a handful of shafts around speak now or forever hold your peace... - Crazy 519 Prototype 85g (S,SX,X) is available - Crazy FW80 Stiff sold out but SR (6.9) and X are available - Crazy Black Utility Only X flex is available- Miura MB-5005 vs Epon AF-Tour Comparison Photos
They are the same size but not. The miura grinds off extra metal in certain places that the Epon holds onto. When playing the two the 5005 feels smaller, is smaller. I'm going to comparo the 302 against it's twin the S-Yard GT-S.- Seven Hills Golf - when will it be available? teaser website is up
lol.. It's yours! I will cancel his order now..jk ;)- MODART - MA01F Fairway Wood
Crazy FW80 in most flexes, UT in all flexes, most of the hottest Crazy shafts we have grown to love are nearly sold out as the brand becomes "Single B". Some of the members are buying them all up now because they won't be available again.- poll: best fw shaft uve used....
lol! But yes Crazy FW80 for me.- MODART - MA01F Fairway Wood
My new fairway has been in play for 3 full rounds and a couple of range sessions. I've had great shots as well as some not so great so I feel confident I can now write my opinion on these. It's the Modart MA01F, first thing I'll say is I'm happy it's available in 14* with such a shallow face. When I first met Suda-san he told me it's an anti-left design, yet it gets up easily while not ballooning (depending on shaft of course) The body is 17-4 Stainless Steel with a very thin 455 maraging steel face - so in other words it's made of the same great materials most of our favorite woods are already made of. The design is what really makes the MA01F a sleeper. I love the shallow face FW's especially since the XV by SYD and that was the club I wanted to compare it to most which I will do, just need some time. I shafted her with my favorite Crazy FW80 LaBomba, I'm so sad this shaft is no longer available and that many of my Crazy favorites are on the way out btw. This combo is a killer, I've been getting easy up mid trajectory straight bullets but bullets with a nice apex at it's peak. It's definately a medium trajectory with this shaft and while it's not as muted as the XV it has a very hot pop sound to it rewarding no doubt. In regards to distance, Im getting the same as my Ryoma F2, I'm very familiar with my home courses holes and off the tee or off the fairway both were dead equals. I get more roll from the Ryoma and more carry from the modart. Both had FW80's in the same flex installed. the 14* modart has roughtly the same distance as the 15* Ryoma an was longer than the 15* XV. Anyway that's it for now. will post more findings later and in the meantime if anyone has more questions let me know.- Miura MB-5005 vs Epon AF-Tour Comparison Photos
Ok a little bit about my experience hitting both side by side. - review done on course not range The AF-Tour has a softer feel over the entire face except center. The finish has a sticky touch to it when the ball meets the face at impact. Overall I found the AF-Tour more forgiving and softer feeling near all edges. It looked just slightly thicker from all angles but not far off. While the pictures don't show it the MB-5005 does look better, the top line is more curved, the head seems better proportioned and it has a face shape that looks handmade vs a mass produced. The 5005 was the more workable iron, It seems the extra thickness and forgiveness of the AF-Tour stunts its workability a little. Where this iron shines is when hit center. When testing I like to hit irons off a tee it helps me get the true feel of the ball with no turf interaction to muddle up the sensation. The 5005 feels so pure when struck well. The AF-Tour was very nice but not much different than that soft sticky feel I mentioned all over it's face. It's like you get extra points for hitting the Miura center. As far as trajectory goes with both shafted with the Modus 3 in Stiff the Miura flies lower, The AF-Tour was getting the same height as the Yamaha Tour CB I have which means either the Yamaha Tour CB flies a nice mid or the AF-Tour flies a tad high. I will say that I feel both irons could use C-Tapers for my swing, the Modus while really bringing out the nice feel of the head wasn't tight enough in dispersion for these blades with a poorly struck shot both the 5005 and AFTour needed to stay straighter while in comparrison the Yammy Tours stay very stable with the same exact shaft & flex.- Seven Hills Golf - when will it be available? teaser website is up
LOL don't worry I can get you something special.- Miura MB-5005 vs Epon AF-Tour Comparison Photos
Yes please! I did not splurge on these beauties myself but wish to do so one day.- Miura MB-5005 vs Epon AF-Tour Comparison Photos
Today I gamed the MB-5005 and took along the AF-Tour for comparo shots. Two really fantastic irons, the 5005 is the forgiving Miura MB while the AF-Tour is the forgiving Epon blade, I liked them both for different reasons, I'll comment on that later but for now lets see how they stack up against each other visually.- J Beam Glourious
It's for the slower swinger but I'm spec'ing one out for about 100mph to see how it does. The 535 is the one I'm excited for. It's the new flagship model.- 2014 Tourstage
Most likely late in the year.- 2014 Yamaha CB Tour Model Thread!
From the day I got them I immediately looked at them and thought I'm not selling these... I haven't yet because the results I get playing them. They feel great - softer than previous tour model CB's They are bigger - bigger than any previous tour model but smaller than the onoff forged They are more forgiving - one of my favorite things about this iron seems they reward bad shots. They are hardly workable - we could hit slight draws and fades but these want straight The trajectroy is spot on - the yammys are good in even strong winds, mid trajectory all day in your shaft. C-Tapers are nice in these. I couldn't find much to fault them for besides the busy stamping.- Seven Hills Golf - when will it be available? teaser website is up
right now we have 1 base putter in SM490A available for mods with gold's factory left. It's basically a blank SM490A putter with the seven logo on the toe. It's more affordable than purchasing the blank from Gold's and it's also in a shape and material that gold's doesn't offer. I think we have sold 9 of them, the customer feedback is that SM490A is slots in between SUS303 and Carbon which is perfect to me because carbon is on the soft side and sus is a little high pitched for many.- Seven Dreamers Shaft
Ya it's a big process and me explaining it really does it no justice but here it goes... There are many types of shafts SD offers, while the majority are playable they do produce some of these as wall art. The way these are made puts all other shaft companies to shame. Even the companies that supply those shaft companies with carbon. T will get into this later but it's a big big difference and SD is not shy to explain to the faces of other shaft makers how they are superior in material and make. The system is designed around being fit at one of the SD locations in Tokyo or Ginza. You go through a series of drills on the trackman but they also use their own proprietary software along side. You then go home with no shaft. A week or two later they present you with 3 options on paper, one for distance, one for control and last one in the middle. You then choose one of these shafts then it's made and SD installs it into your head. I suggest if you have the bones just buy all 3 as it's not often you get 3 shafts designed just for you. Also how could you walk away with just one wondering what the other two would have done. We have been working on this deal for several months now as this partnership makes sense. Shops in Japan must fit off of an Ipad, TSG is obviously a different machine so we are working closely with them to craft a solution.- Ryoma Putters Now Available Here!
