Every single club in this thread is a fake. None of these are real.

Geotech RF 800 alpha-spec driver?
TourSpecGolfer replied to landshark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I couldn't tell ya without being able to compare the two but I would say minimal. It's a thinner face so it has more trampoline faster off the face probably creating anywhere from 2-7yds. -
Ima keep this thread rolling as new fakes come out. How about these..

Geotech RF 800 alpha-spec driver?
TourSpecGolfer replied to landshark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I would say the RF800 Alpha is possibly longer, but a hair less forgiving and it doesn't feel as good imo. -
The "newer" Kamui Pro TP-07 Nitro Version III
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
- They shaved the face a bit more putting it on the edge of conformity. - They made the crown 5 grams lighter to lower the CG - subtle visual changes -
Sorry we had to send the samples back quickly and we didn't get the PW. These are available now for "special" order. The first global run of wedges & irons have already sold out :( We have to order these as custom until Tabuchi-san catches up. We also produced 2 limited 4 wedge sets 50/54/58/62 that are currently under production. 1 has already sold.

The Honma TW717P is Honma's most forgiving iron in the Tour World Series. It's forged like the other irons in the TW line but this one has a 2 piece structure featuring a CNC milled pocket cavity and a Maraging stainless steel face. The 717P is the best selling of the TW irons. I was only able to get ahold of the #4 iron and on paper it says the long irons have the most offset. looking down at the #4 the offset is still pretty minimal. There are some variants of this club, you may have seen them with a gold inner cavity & black badge, these are all options but for me this Double-layer plating / Satin finish goes best with silver for a more simple and clean image. Enjoy the pics, I have one final TW post lined up where I will highlight everything all together. It's a pretty solid offering when you look at the Tour World Series as a whole.

Pics of the PP 101 & 102 putters in the Bright Nickel Platinum finish: -
light milling & 303 provide a harder impact, you can really hear & feel the metal this way.

This may help: http://www.miuragiken.com/mcw/iron_set.html They have one darker finish and a few variants of Nickel Satin with various tints. The Finishing house Miura uses is top notch, golf specific done in Himeji.

There is fake everything now days, then there are "super copies" that make even the fakes look fake. They say fake golf clubs make up nearly 10% of the equipment market worldwide, thats a pretty staggering number. Look above they copied most of the brands TSG has promoted and all it is designed to do is look like the real thing, not play or perform and that's such a pity because there is at least some capability behind making these. People new to the JDM scene don't know all the nuances of Japanese quality, finishing or exactly how the product should look in hand, it only makes sense for the fakers to go after this market. It's exclusive, expensive, and these smaller Japanese brands don't look or in most cases even care or have the ability to do something about it. Many fakes are cast out of recycled materials even if they say forged on them. In fact I have never seen a forged fake before. I'm intrigued to be honest, I'd like to see what the process is. It's obvious they use CNC machines and they must be able to make cheap molds and utilize some sort of plating facility. Anyway are your clubs in here? It would be fun to put the fake version against the real on the trackman one day.

Comparison between Ryoma maxima ST with Romaro 460HX Gold
TourSpecGolfer replied to asem76's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
They are both excellent heads. The Maxima ST should be the longest, Ryoma didn't just make a hotter driver by thinning the face they upgraded the face material and put extra effort in getting it to feel soft and forged. They also worked on reducing spin by 300 rpm vs the conforming version. That said the Maxima has it's control issues for some and even me, swinging hard gets me in trouble with this club more than others. I've had some of my longest drives swinging smooth with a maxima. The special tune could be completely banana's.
