  1. I was gonna say it looks like the 388's toe but I do see some zero in it. The weird marks on the crown Kobayashi believes promotes an inside out swing path. If you could only pick one, what is your all time favorite KK design?
  2. In Seon Kim is his name, we have used his services as well in the past.
  3. The Ryoma Putters should be up in the proshop today or tomorrow but for now we will offer forum members with over 100 posts first dibs and a special price. If your interested please email [email protected] (no PM's please). I've been rolling the new Ryoma Putters for 3 rounds now, I'm about to hand them off to Tatsuro so he can give it a go and post his feedback in the forums. When we first saw these putters in person at Ryoma's head office in Shinjuku they were just prototypes and did not look nearly as refined as the this retail version. I was pleasantly surprised to see the many improvements and even in feel since I hit i first hit them several months ago. Some people think anser style putters are all the same, this one is definitely different even if we left out it's radical face insert, the actual putter shape, and bulges are fresh, I like it's angles, it's slightly bigger than your usual anser as well. Then this wonderful face, so Ryoma doesn't come out and say exactly what it is it's their own special material. It has a weird click yet soft (in a very good way) feel to it, I remember my very first round after a few holes I thought it's ok and not bad but by the end of that round I noticed poorly struck shots had made it almost pin high where as normally I get penalized, could this be a more forgiving anser putter? I also noticed against my other putter with the same stroke it was a little shorter in distance. I also feel like the ball would move left to right less than normal and it was easier to hit straight. As Stew put it best, clicky and springy. I get it, you will too when if you get the chance. Stew also enjoyed it after only 15 minutes with it. To me the more I play it the more I enjoy it and find it unique. The reason why it's unique is this very thin face insert it's 0.9mm thick with some very light and unusual milling marks, behind that face there is a very shallow oval cavity. The putter head is made if SUS303 while the face is listed as "special alloy" I have no clue but I think it's a blend, at impact I feel aluminum mixed with something else... who knows I could be totally wrong. Anyway by the end of the 2nd round I was convinced it is the most forgiving and consistent anser putter I have ever hit. I'm on to the mallet now will post my thoughts in a few more rounds.
  4. So Kobayashi-san is no longer at S-Yard, Being the president of S-Yard was supposed to be his last Job before retirement. Now that it's over it is unclear if he will remain in the golf industry or spend time with family and friends as a retired man. Whatever happens his latest designs were the Bold Wedge, 388, XV Driver, XV FW, XV Iron, and now the STARK series which is geared toward the slower swinger. Kobayashi-san claims it was the longest and best feeling driver of this player category. Look we can deny it, it's funky looking but look at that face profile, what's it remind you of? If "the man" really retires this could be his final design.
  5. They have 2 different models in 2 finishes. The pre sale will go up tonight or tomorrow. I've been rolling these over the weekend. It's not as ugly as originally thought, big improvement over the prototype we seen a few months ago.
  6. I'm still on a Honma tear, It's a weird thing as in the proshop its a big seller yet in the forum few want it. I've been able to hit much of their line up recently. It's better than most in fit/finish/feel/performance now it's just a matter of sharing it with those who have already made their mind up about the brand. Anyway TW-W Wedges... It's cast but feels so damn good.
  7. Sorry I don't have pics, It's Craig's putter though so maybe he can chime in. Actually a few of these are his, From what I know it's black teflon finish with two orbital G weights on the sole. Not sure if any face milling was done.
  8. lol GF totally, It's just a lefty putter with green translucent paint fill. looks so simple and great. If you need help building a putter just email me [email protected] It's a fun yet expensive process.
  9. Every single club in this thread is a fake. None of these are real.
  10. It's a watermark on the image so other thieves don't steal the stuff they stole
  11. I couldn't tell ya without being able to compare the two but I would say minimal. It's a thinner face so it has more trampoline faster off the face probably creating anywhere from 2-7yds.
  12. Ima keep this thread rolling as new fakes come out. How about these..
  13. I would say the RF800 Alpha is possibly longer, but a hair less forgiving and it doesn't feel as good imo.
  14. - They shaved the face a bit more putting it on the edge of conformity. - They made the crown 5 grams lighter to lower the CG - subtle visual changes
  15. Sorry we had to send the samples back quickly and we didn't get the PW. These are available now for "special" order. The first global run of wedges & irons have already sold out :( We have to order these as custom until Tabuchi-san catches up. We also produced 2 limited 4 wedge sets 50/54/58/62 that are currently under production. 1 has already sold.
  16. Yup anything MOZ is rare.
  17. Ok these just landed, I still gotta take pics and then it will be put up in the pro shop. It's listed at 450 but TSG is going to do a forum special for all members who want them. That will be coming early next week.
  18. The Honma TW717P is Honma's most forgiving iron in the Tour World Series. It's forged like the other irons in the TW line but this one has a 2 piece structure featuring a CNC milled pocket cavity and a Maraging stainless steel face. The 717P is the best selling of the TW irons. I was only able to get ahold of the #4 iron and on paper it says the long irons have the most offset. looking down at the #4 the offset is still pretty minimal. There are some variants of this club, you may have seen them with a gold inner cavity & black badge, these are all options but for me this Double-layer plating / Satin finish goes best with silver for a more simple and clean image. Enjoy the pics, I have one final TW post lined up where I will highlight everything all together. It's a pretty solid offering when you look at the Tour World Series as a whole.
  19. I have the glue drying in all 3 right now, photo's next then I will get out and give them a whack. The TRPX Touale in stiff tipped is going in the Deep modart, Crazy in the UT, and FW80 in the FW. 2 custom hand made suda-san wedges are also here. those unreal CBC irons are shipping today to customers as well.
  20. Pics of the PP 101 & 102 putters in the Bright Nickel Platinum finish:
  21. light milling & 303 provide a harder impact, you can really hear & feel the metal this way.
  22. It's been a while since I posted an update on what Sasaya-san has been doing recently.
