Mizuno Pro 118
Just an FYI to people. TSG is not selling the Mizuno Pro series. We are selling Yoro models prior. It was not fair if TSG had both Yoro and Pro. We choose Yoro. We can tell how an iron is made by looking at the Yoro options. The Yoro models have grind options which means Mizuno gets the heads in at least heavy and raw. These new Mizuno Pros or MP-18s only have finish options which lead me to think that they arrive at Mizuno already made. I cant say for certain why but that is strange because these are the first MP's not to have Yoro options. To summarize this it's possible they are made in China like the other non MP irons.

Member Review - JBeam Galpha
All drivers are within 5-10 yards of each other head vs head. You can get amazing distance with this club or terrible distance. It depends on the specs you choose, the shaft and its characteristics together with your swing. This does not mean go out and get a fitting because imo those are often garbage as well just trying to sell you something. You need to learn what you like, your preference in size, loft, specs, and head also what type of bend profile, flex, weight, feel in a shaft you want etc.. then you write down what works. Then it becomes way more fun looking for gear because then you can actually figure out what you want on your own. Galpha is a fantastic driver. I am a ZY11 / 435 kinda guy for years. Galpha feels better, is forgiving, is a little higher launching than the 435/ZY it has just the slightest bit more spin ( I want this vs the other Jbeam heads ) its mid trajectory. good feel, the usual jbeam distance and lower spin, and with the right specs/shaft/build it for me is very long.

Cadero, STM Grips anyone?
No we did not want to buy stock so we turned it down. I have used them. they are nice but a bit round and thick for me. I'm trying all new grips always. I actually like Perfect Pro cords at the moment.

Driver Head Plus Shaft = Max Distance
The head and shaft have little to nothing to do with each other. That is such a common question I get = What shaft is good for this head? That is not the way I suggest thinking about it. Its what head and shaft and specs have characteristics that minimize my faults and improve on my strengths.

Is Ryoma still the king of distance for average player?
Ryoma faces are thinner in general so the driver is a little hotter. They do have a little more spin and we must remember they are going after the XXIO crowd. The entire body flexes more than other drivers for example on the new driver with strong force using my hands I can bend the sole in and out. Head vs head I feel they have a little more distance but any gains are lost somewhere in the gazillion of variables that are taking place in the swing or build.

Is Ryoma still the king of distance for average player?
I would not say king. I think as long as the heads characteristics and the shaft and specs are ideal for your particular swing that is what makes a long driver.

"Metal factory ", anyone want to talk about it?
Brands order new sole molds or crown molds or add or delete weights and change graphics and so on. For irons and wedges I can tell what base heads they come from but for woods, there are so many to choose from I wouldn't know exactly.

Lighter golf shafts
The 750 wrap tech had bad sound and feel. The Zelos7 fixed that but still a little hollow Zelos8 is very nice all around. I feel that the Zelos series comes second behind the many carbon iron shaft options available.

MIZUNO MP TYPE 2 feedback
Feels good, forgiving for its size, face shape and the groove alignment seems odd to me, if you can custom order from yoro to your specs they do a nice job of that. distance is like any good driver ( they are all similar in this regard and it depends on the player/shaft/etc.. ) sound and feel are better than average. I think Noboru had one of these in play as well?

Launch characteristics OT 105 stiff iron shafts?
Yup this is exactly my take on these as well. A little on the OT Tour - coming end of this month it is designed to player with a tighter dispersion, lower trajectory and stiffer tip. The feel is not as great but that is expected as softer always has that more lively feel.

Callaway Epic Forged driver
Performs like most drivers. feels better than other EPIC drivers. I would choose it for the feel alone if it was against the Star and Sub Zero.

"Metal factory ", anyone want to talk about it?
Just another brand prettying up open model heads. Most smaller brands are using open model woods, irons, wedges and adjusting certain aspects of them. Metal factory brings you nothing new, iron/wedge shapes are below average, cnc back face is very basic but thats just for looks, the drivers and woods are adjusted open model. The parent co. Asahi golf is all business not maniac style like we are. Some guy said... thats the problem with the internet. This "guy" has no eye. Epon is in another league when compared to metal factory and that includes quality/fit/finish. Its a 1 piece forged head. long is determined by its loft, shaft,specs... If you want to know if something is special or actually new just ask anytime.

Drivers and FW strictly and completely made in Japan
none and none.

Drivers and FW strictly and completely made in Japan
100% materials sourced, made and the head manufactured... none. Modart is the closest. Kamui Works would be next but not all parts are from Japan. Even when Endo was in Japan their clubs were not fully Japan made.

Made in Japan by SAKATA ( 50 reasons )
100% false. I was part of Honmas most recent round of funding with morgan stanley. Trust that I know whats going on, who gets canned and why among other sensitive details. Honma is made by OTA in China for the most part. There are no Japan Forged 737s

Callaway Epic Forged driver
We ordered 50. rep is telling us we will be lucky to get 5. Pre orders are close to 20 soon. Not looking easy to get.

2018 Yamaha Tour Model Golf Clubs
They are just a different look. Brands may try to say it moves the CG to a lower more center position but 2 things fault that logic: 1. you can simply make the hosel shorter to do the same & there are many ways to add mass to the toe or reduce mass toward the heel. 2. you want the cg slightly toward the heel to promote face closure with irons. a true center face cg is a bitch to hit. Because we use CAD to produce the CB & MCB we are able to see what changes are required to move CG depth and height. It takes much more drastic adjustments to move it than most would think.

Modart T55 PROTO Wedges
Not yet. Only irons. The ST wedge is only CNC face and grooves.
