Alleato Driver or Lapacho Driver: What's all the fuss about?
TourSpecGolfer replied to charge's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Alleato's driver is very basic, decent shape but inside it's hollow no tech behind the face or special form of weighting & material. Your money is better spent with a more established brand that offers more recent innovationsand technology. Lapacho.. makes open model catalog wood heads. We know the brands and have access to them but your honestly the first person to ask about them. -
You guy's have already heard about the new R11 all over the web. We are getting confirmation from Japan that Taylormade R11TP Forged Irons, and special Japan Only editions of the R11 driver and irons are scheduled for announcement at the 2011 Tokyo Golf Fair. I posted a blog post on GTI about the new R11 Driver, copy and pasted below: Taylormade R11 Driver The New Taylormade R11 Driver will be showcased at the 2011 Tokyo Golf Show and as usual you can expect GolfToImpress/TourSpecGolf to have plenty of HD Video and High Resolution Images as well as a Taylormade R11 Driver Review. last year we revelaed the Taylormade R9 TP Forged irons along with some other Japan only tid bits. Will it be the R11 DEEP or perhaps an R11 Max this year dedicated to the Japanese Market? AST = Adjustable Sole Technology The new acronym on the sole of the club is (AST) and it stands for Adjustable Sole Technology. Combine that with FCT and MWT and you got a lot of adjustments your able to make. It's pretty amazing stuff if you ask me. R11 Ghost Driver? Around the web people are chiming in with positive & negative opinions on the fact that Taylormades future flagship model may come standard in white. This seems to be the flavor of the month or month(s) with Taylormade's Ghost putter series and recently Cobra's limited edition white driver. Still no word on if Taylormade will label the new R11 "ghost", my guess is not. Taylormade R11 TP Driver Yup it's a safe bet there will be the R11 TP Driver not too far down the line as well. We can figure the MSRP on the Taylormade R11 will be in the $399.00 range and with the R11TP coming in near $699.00 these are just my guesses, confirmation should be coming soon. Were these Images Leaked too Early? My take is that it was an intentional leak and that Taylormade knows exactly what they are doing by getting the pictures out there on the web then asking websites to take them down. It causes a stir getting websites to speculate and customers to get into a pre release frenzy. Taylormade markets product behind the scenes like no other companies. Will they ask GTI/TSG to remove the images while they spread like like fire on the web? Only time will tell... Taylormade R11 Forged Irons? Let's keep going right? It's not to far of a stretch to say the Taylormade will release R11 Irons with or soon after the release of the driver. R11 Fairway Woods, R11 Wedges, R11 TP Irons, R11 Bags & Hat's it's all coming! It's also pretty safe to say the Japanese Market will be the first to announce R11 Forged Irons and R11 TP Forged Irons. GolfToImpress will keep you guy's updated as news comes out ...

If you haven't noticed, on the GTI blog we are running a No Reserve Charity Auction for several high end JDM products. Payment goes directly to the Charity Young Visionaries in San Bernardino California and you also get a Tax Deduction receipt for your purchase. We have no attachment to what the products sell for. The money goes to completing the Music Studio we are building for the kids as well as training for them on how to use the equipment and software. If you hold out, rumor has it that there is a 702 coming.
-
I can sell you guys some at 1.50 each + shipping. They are in the U.S.

great point ukok. It's the early adopter in all of us. We all feel the tinge of hurt when a newer model of what we own is released, well I know I'm that way not only in regards to golf clubs but electronics and even firearms.
-
I have not hit the 95 only the 130 but based off of that experience I would highly suggest it. The fact that it can be ordered in .355 also a huge plus so if you don't like them you can pull them and sell the shafts.

Yup love my 151! Everyone here is spot on about the 102 feeling more pure but I need the forgiveness. Another two you shouldn't over look is the Titleist VG3 it fits the same bill as the 151 and in my opinion has more area heel to toe with slightly better feel. Distance is about the same on the two. Fire express is an awesome combo in any driver!

I heard that Idrive is enjoying life after selling his company! Last I heard traveling the country going to baseball games! He drops in time to time buys a club and vanishes...

Never hit a driver as consistently straight and far as this
TourSpecGolfer replied to Mjr. D's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Nothing beats Crazy & Quadra. When is the PGA Tour going to catch the drift? Maybe Gary can chime in an share the recipe for the magic dust he sprinkled on your club... -
If your looking for pure distance go with the 15* but it sounds like your swing is what's creating similar distances between 15 vs 17. You have a couple of options, you can buy your way out by purchasing shafts that reduce your fade/slice or practice your way out. Also I'm sure your aware 5 woods are for most people much easier to hit than 3's. It's all about the effective loft that your wood is meeting the ball with. I would say go with 15* but both ways you will have more distance than your superfast.

Hey I've got a write up coming very soon on the JF10 and Tour Issue. Stay tuned and sorry about the delay on those who have asked.
-
Yup most models and options are sold out. They look cool but they do have a lot more offset than other mizuno models.
-
Yup keep in mind the humidity of where you live or play is a big factor in black or copper finishes.

Katana for slow swingers and oldies only?
TourSpecGolfer replied to Vegaman's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Hi Vegaman, Have a look at other brands we carry in the proshop then participate in the shaft fitting threads. When you have some brands that catch your eye respond in this post and we can move forward to support your purchase from there. -
Epon AF tours vs the Gold's blades
TourSpecGolfer replied to rjklein4470's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Epon AF-Tour is the better design, made of S20C, and manufactured by Endo. Can't beat that. -
Kyoei and Vega are separate companies. Kyoei is the manufacture. Vega uses open model Kyoei heads. The Kyoei version is released under the factory name while Vega purchases the same models for their line up.

Tourstage produces some stuff in China and Japan. Usually the high end that requires manufacturing ENDO is what is produced in Japan. The stuff with 2 piece forged construction or items with tungsten inside of the sole.
