  1. Guys, Beres seems to have some unreal quality, Finish top notch, design as well. I should be getting the MG801 pics and the new TW902 blade pics up in the next couple of weeks.
  2. I honestly like these better, I have both for sale so no bias here. These feel just as soft, have a bit more spin and also the grind seems to be very versitile. Bounce angles are 8* and 10*. Y.E yang from Korea has already racked up several wins on the JPGA and Korean events playing them. Im going to reshaft with Axiv wedge shafts and see how they stack up against my Beres.
  3. Played my first round with them today and already in love. I know the 52 is in the bag but now the 58 must duke it out with my axiv shafted beres L W101. Still the only satin wedge with raw face on the market.
  4. I have hit the hibore with a Fuji Tour platform as well as the Japan spec with this red axiv in the pic above. IMHO the hibore is not a distance club, but i must give it credit, its forgiving and straight. the axiv version was by far longer and felt quite a bit smoother.
  5. IMO, J33R is more forgiving with a slightly higher ball flight. The X-Drive has a better profile as the J33R has the synergy rounded toe look going on. The feel of the X-Drive is more pleasing due to the turbo rubber. The XD has a higher CG and its geared to the single digit player while the J33R is for all playing levels. It really depends on your game and budget. FYI X-Drive 460 should be out in a couple of months.
  6. If all works out as planned, Both. G-Field will be the mid level price point while Gauge Design ( when the mess is cleaned up ) will be extremely high end and expensive.
  7. Its more like the Saga is coming to an end. D.W sold more putters illegally in Japan than he did in the U.S via gray marketing. The difference in the amount of putters produced is quite large. Gauge Japan 2 years ago was doing about 50,000 pieces compared to Davids 10,000. Now G-Field is producing 45,000 of each model for the U.S market and 200,000 leaps in year one. These numbers do not include the entire Asia market production output. They are delayed on the official U.S release as the inventory is on a ship making its way over to the states. The HQ office and warehouse have been setup in Newport and Torrance. With G-Field in the U.S you will notice different finishes and even some limited putters made in the U.S.A. New Driver design, FW design, UT design, M design, Putter designs etc.. You will notice a huge boost for G-Field in coming months as everything they have been working on for almost the last 2-3 years has lead them to this point. A good thing is Gauge Design will soon be 1 world brand soon after the lawsuit is over. I wont even call D.W Gauge U.S. as he stole the name, He is now known as just david. I'm very happy now justice will be served and his few supporters will understand what I have been saying for years. Has anyone noticed david has already dropped the name Gauge Designs for whitlam golf in the U.S and Japan? That says volumes right there. When this is all over GD will re surface as a bigger and better company than it ever was.
  8. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Joseph Sakoda (949) 851-6588 June 17, 2006 LAWSUIT CLAIMS MISAPPROPRIATION OF TRADEMARKS AND OTHER UNLAWFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES BY DAVID WHITLAM AND WHITLAM INTERNATIONAL Newport Beach, CA Gauge Design, Inc., a high-end Japanese golf equipment and accessories company, announced that it filed a lawsuit against former employee David Whitlam and Whitlam International for breach of fiduciary duty, theft/misappropriation of trade secrets, trade libel, unfair business practices, breach of contract, intentional interference with contractual relations, fraud and imposition of constructive trust. The basis for the lawsuit is David Whitlam's unauthorized assignment of various Gauge Design trademarks to his own company, Whitlam International, while Mr. Whitlam was still employed by Gauge Design's predecessor company, Pacific Golf Supply (PGS). Mr. Whitlam's actions were never disclosed to, let alone approved by, a majority of PGS shareholders and/or non-interested officers or directors. Therefore, any attempted assignment or similar self-dealing transaction would be void on its face under established California law. Despite the complete lack of any basis for this fraudulent attempt to obtain ownership of the Gauge Design trademarks, Mr. Whitlam has repeatedly claimed ownership to such trademarks in public, and in fact has gone so far to claim that he created the Gauge Design trademarks and its Aluinser line of putters. According to the head of Gauge Design's legal team, Christopher P. Ayayo, discovery has not uncovered any evidence supporting Mr. Whitlam's position, nor has Whitlam’s attorney offered any basis for a valid defense to the claims asserted in the complaint. It is really quite interesting that Mr. Whitlam's attorney has failed to offer any tangible, competent evidence to support his clien's bold claims and aggressive public statements and actions. At the risk of waxing poetic, the silence is deafening. George Takei, President of Gauge Design, added that Gauge Design will aggressively litigate this case to ensure that the truth comes out and Mr. Whitlam is made to pay for his abuse of trust and continued misrepresentations to the public. For more information concerning the contents of this press release, please contact Joseph Sakoda, President of G Field, Gauge’s wholly owned American subsidiary, at (949) 851-6588. ### Gauge Design, Inc. is a high-end golf equipment and accessories company that is currently developing a full line of custom, high-end golf clubs and accessories to complement its award-winning putter line. This new line of clubs will be marketed through G Field, its American subsidiary. Please check out our websites at www.gaugedesigns.jp.co and www.g-fieldgolf.com.
  9. Toshi Izawa has been seen playing rounds with some new sticks. His new X-Drive proto 460 and his new proto FW. No info or release dates have been leaked yet. X-Drive prototype 05-65-C Fairway prototype 05-58-2 Enjoy!
  10. Yes I saw these in Japan. The entire line is the same as the U.S maxfli clubs. Im not exactly sure what Maxfli has but this is what i was told by their staff.
  11. Many of the Domestic O.E.M's don't have driving irons as a part of their line up and the brands that do haven't really advanced them much in recent releases. On tight courses, I leave the driver and 3 wood in the trunk and replace them with #2 and #3 driving irons. The difference is simply score. more fairways and a better position into the green. The modifications are more evident as well for example having a 3iron length shaft on a 19* Driving Iron head produces lower straighter 200 yard bullets for me. The Tour AD UT-85 shaft 1" longer than my #3 Iron creates a mid trajectory draw that is very dependable, more carry, more distance with a minor loss in accuracy. They have been and still are vital in Japan with their tight courses and firm pristine conditions. If your interested in a more accurate shot and IMO a lower score give them a try. I have reviewed what are the 2 best driving irons in my opinion here:
  12. End of this month I should have a few more available. Please PM me to secure yours. G-Field with the screws can do any head weight, swing weight, length and shaft.
  13. Hey Ari, I will be adding these to the catalog in the next several weeks.
  14. No sir these are Japan only. You can get them in our pro shop.
  15. The 460 is square to my eye. Guys both these drivers are now on auction in the TSG ebay store. The 460 was upgraded with an AXIV 6064 tipped 1/4" D2.
  16. The Rombax ERC3 is now gone. For those interested PM me quick i got a few 9.5 stock stiff flexes i can ship out asap. This driver is hot and not so easy to get at this moment.
  17. Its coming the end of this month. Now taking pre orders! The all new X-UT
  18. The new Honma MG701 460 The New Honma TW911 415
  19. There shafts are mostly chrome color near the lower half with red and black on the top area. Very sexy looking. Compared to the Diamana these have about the same or a tad lower flight than the S series.
  20. I have another set, in absolute mint condition for sale at 1089.00 + 25.00 Shipping. A few of the irons were hit on a grass range. They have never seen an actual course. Again Great deal on a mint TSG demo set 3-PW NS950 Stiff! In 2 days off to ebay.
  21. No these are not available heads only. Axiv is as good as the person the shaft fits. I have had customers who buy axivs that dont fit them and the result is not good, but the guys who find the proper shaft for their swing get amazing results. So it really depends on your swing and how it matches the shaft. I have one of these with a rombax 6V05 stiff on the way if anyone is interested, I can discount it at 875.00 shipped for TSG members. If you have over 50 posts 825.00 shipped. There is a serious shortage right now in Japan of the ERC3, especially custom shaft options like the rombax.
  22. For those of you who didn't know about apples new bootcamp & parallel programs its quite revolutionary. Intel started making Duo processors for Apple computers, with the new Intel Duo CPU you are able to install any version of Windows to your Mac. This means the new mac computers are both PC and Mac friendly. I have even seen Windows Vista Beta 2 running on macs. With bootcamp you must re-boot to start up in windows or to switch between. with Parallel its as simple as switching over from one to the other. Its like having the best of both worlds, you can even play PC video games and use adobe photoshop. I'm a PC guy myself but I must admit the Macs run cleaner with better programs for digital images and video editing. It also supports HD quicktime. Look forward to seeing Macs in the future pre loaded with this ability. Rumor is the new OS for mac code named leopard will be able to do this. Its good news for Microsoft, bad news for sony, dell, gateway etc.. For more info go to: http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/ best of all bootcamp is free!
