Hiro Matsumoto - anyone have or tried these irons?
TourSpecGolfer replied to plus1's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Along with the type J and a select few others they are in top rank as far as looks go. The feel is Miuraish, not so soft yet not hard. They have very minimal offset and the profile is short heel to toe. has a stubby style to it. Very player, Horny Juan and I both had them, I think we are the only posters who purchased these irons. -
As I prepare for my trip to the U.S I needed business solutions that would make travel as care free and simple as possible. The search is over, Instead of buying a two thousand dollar car flip out screen navigation that doesn't connect to the internet at high speeds I am putting together the ultimate mobile workstation. Its simple, effective and affordable. Step 1 : Purchase Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006 with the GPS locator Streets & Trips Info Step 2: Purchase an EVDO card to connect at high speeds from almost anywhere in the U.S EVDO information Step 3: Put it all together with your laptop and never get lost or disconnected again.

EPON: The Best Forged Steel ENDO has Ever Produced!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Ts4, I never thought of that I stand corrected, I was in a 2-D bubble looking inward :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: Plus 1, The Type J is so set in my bag, Beres, G-field, Hiro, nothing has ever felt this good at impact and inspired so much confidence in my swing. no joke these are my new gamers, and hold me to it guys but i'm thinking for at least a year+. That freaken GOOD! I will be posting a review soon. Words cant explain how happy I am with these irons. The 460 driver has knocked the ERC3 out of the bag with ease and thats with its stock DREV vs the PT-6 so I am very impressed. The feel is unreal, its like comparing cast to forged but in titanium. The words that describe it best for me is a soft R7 400cc, or 360 Tour like feel but 15% better. :tsg_smilie_confused: The only thing that didn't fit me right was the fairway wood, its got an extremely muted feel during a time I am in love with that steel feel. The assistant pro I play with loves it to death but I just don't feel this thing. Right now the GFT 4 wood and Cally ERC Hot FW's are in a fist fight for who gets into my gamer set. The Epon is out of the battle already. The wedges were very nice but i'm not a fan of finishes that rust, they are super soft and sweet feeling, nice heavy head feel. I think these could be the best feeling wedges I have ever hit. I sill got the Beres LW101 with axiv graphite as my 58* and the 52* G-Field GFT in the bag. Putter is the #0 Premium zone in blue. -
5 colors sir.

Just wanted to kick of the new Auto Forum Category with pics of my S40, Have not seen her for over a year due to travels but sure do miss her ride under my feet. From Europe and Japan I have been keeping the mods coming in which will make it that much better when i see it again next month in the states.

Yes 1150 Stiff it still is! M266V is terrible IMO, to put it simply just imagine lighter short irons and heavier long irons. Reverse weight flow, I have tried it and it throws everything off for me. They were created for Maruyama cause he enjoys his lob wedge at C9.

IMO, the head weight should never determine the shaft you use. Select a shaft that you have tested and has the best results with your swing. Here are the head weights: #3 247.0 #4 252.5 #5 259.0 #6 266.5 #7 274.5 #8 281.5 #9 289.0 PW 297.5 -
If you want heavy long irons and light short irons then the M266V is for you.

the 310 and 301 are quite different but as far as size goes they are in between the MP and MX series, realize this is a replacement for the S-30 powerblade, the 310 has a thin topline with a bit more offset than the normal club. -

Why doesn't the Mizuno link work?
TourSpecGolfer replied to threejack's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
What link is that? The only link we have is from the random banner on the pro shop pages. Try this updated one: Custom Mizzy Link -
The 2006 Tourstage ViQ2 430cc Driver w/PICS
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
That was many drivers ago, :tsg_smilie_whistle: I do have 3 9.5 heads with any axiv shaft for sale at a discount price coming quite soon. As I remember feel was excellent, could be one of the best for its size. Distance on par with most others on the market, stock shaft was a bit soft but aided the slicer quite a bit, If you put say a PT-6 in it sky is the limit. Sorry for the poor report, I almost forgot what this club was like with all the recent tests im trying to cover. -

30-40 Yards!! thats insane! Wow it must really fit your swing or that TP must have really not. Anyway Im happy your happy. With Axiv, Its vital to find the proper shaft, I have seen guys select the wrong shaft and the results were not well. Im glad for you. -

Hi Alex, Its the the combined info from the manufacturing of countless OEM's forged golf clubs that has brought them to these designs and this level of forged steel. I really dont know to much past that. I havent even tested these irons yet. No we cant adjust stamping or finishes like the custom mizunos. I am able to take video. but I honestly dont want to im sorry. -

Ya know a special run of blades is possible, it would be big bucks $$$ in limited amounts though. If you dont want to spend bucks on a special design set the other option is the Beres TW902 Tour, should have those in a week. -

Ahh, what the average American consumer say after the sticker shock of 1600.00 for Irons... Im not sure that many shops will carry them at that price. These are the Rolls Royce or Louis Vutton of golf clubs, I expect them to be in luxury areas only. :tsg_smiley_yes: I will take some pics of each of their soles and the toplines next to eachother this week. Here are some images of the PW's. -

I was very impressed when I opened our sample case from Epon by Endo to see just how high quality their product was. I wasnt expecting the double silver line ferrules with carbon look weave, down to the DREV made in Japan stock shafts attached to all of their woods, DREV in Japan is aftermarket. Their standard shaft is the Shimada AC-10, the most high quality and expensive steel shaft used in Japan not to mention the first. I ordered my 3 demo sets of Irons with my favorite setup NS1150 Stiff D2/D3. Reviews to come. Custom Specs and Shafts are available. Its pretty heavy at D3, main thing is it feels head heavy. These are the standard grind, pretty nice isn't it :tsg_smiley_yes: To compare to scratch, there are many different types of scratch wedges available in the pro shop. I used to have the SFU in the bag so to compare, the GF neck is less bulky/blocky, the GF has a more compact and IMO desired shape. the resale of the G-field is definitely better, It puts a stronger spin on the ball and has less bounce. Both are excellent its just the g-field performed and looks a bit better to my eye.

Callway ERC 3 Shaft Recommendations
TourSpecGolfer replied to bogeydog's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Having to much spin is not a trait of the Rombax. They are actually supposed to reduce spin a bit. It could be swing sorry to say. But i do think the Rombax lacks in distance. at 95mph best you install the 6064 untipped.
