  2. The factory's keep producing after shop is closed and managers or someone inside is leaking them out to select sources in HK, Taiwan, and or the U.S.A. Just the amount of Tour heads they have for sale is scary, not to mention the amount floating around in the U.S. I have seen the TM stuff in person that they sell, its real, Its from China, Its Tour and is available in bulk for peanuts. I have mentioned this before I have owned real Futura's that were 40.00 new from China, 970's that cost 150 head, I currently have an R7 HT that has a zit that was a sample of the hundreds of defect discount heads for sale a month ago. If Callaway started doing the final finishing of their tour heads in the U.S instead of China to stop this profitable yet unfair practice I think TM should do something to curb the amount of Tour woods coming from the factory instead of the Authorized U.S distrib. I have nothing against TM, I own 2 R7's love their Driving Irons and the Monza VT, The 2005 TP irons were better than good also. I just have a problem with people spending big $$$ for Chinese made clubs spec'd out for another person and in many cases non authorized. TM knows about it, they should at the least offer a program where you can check if your product is authorized or not as scotty does. If they have the time to stamp a specific # on a tour club then they have the time to register the product. The whole notion that they dont want the Tour club to be tracked back to the player who gave it away is ridiculous IMO. TM could do something to make this at least a little more inconvenient for the illegal seller couldn't they? I mean if that really was the case wouldnt TM tell its Tour reps to cut it out ? TM and Titleist need to take control of their overseas manufacturers as Callaway began in 2004. BTW, I have never seen a China set of TM Tour Irons...Never, IMO the Irons are legit.
  3. They are both ugly as far as I'm concerned, but hey I'm an all anser kinda guy. anyone have pics of the phantom to post in this thread. lets do a comparison  The retail price on these are 29,000yen about 275.00, gauge Japan has a much cheaper retail line than last year due to going with Forged CNC instead of 303 or 304 etc..
  4. I'm for sure getting a Driving Iron, I'm a DI kinda guy, The question is the professional use High C.O.G model or the very easy to hit Low C.O.G model. Hmmm.... Breal if interested you are able to get the High C.O.G model because your a Tour pro. This year gauge Japan is not selling the true tour issue stuff, they will make limited edition products for the public but Tour is off limits unless your on a Tour.
  5. Thanks for the Info, Myself, I don't know much about TM tour just that R7 Shallow TP tours are 200 head only if you buy 200 pieces from the Chinese Taylormade Factory. R7 Tour T##### are only 150.00 at a minimum order of 200 pieces also, Tour V-Steel 100.00 each if you buy 150 heads, R7 TP stand bags 150.00 if you buy 50 or more. The Majority of late model TM Tour woods are non authorized aka fake IMO. I'm sure many many of you have them in the bag also. Do you guys know the factory also sells the retail defects with pimples and small imperfections? R7 TP 150.00 & R7 HT 150.00 heads only. authentic just not authorized by TM. Who remembers last Feb. I asked Mr. Solomon and all the big wigs at the R7 launch party in Tokyo about fake tour heads, their answer was: no Tour head comes un shafted or in shrink wrap....LOL :poop: Tour heads are not sold or given in bulk and if they are they are fake. I hope they are all in Tokyo for this month's fair, I'm betting they don't want to answer questions about the China factory again. Kudos to Callaway they admitted they had a problem in China and also talked with me about their remedy last year.

  13. They are Scratch OTR Japan made wedges, very nice very soft 1018, same finish as the MOZ's almost glossy and translucent. They are different from the models made in the U.S IMO much much more refined just not as custom. Great all the way around. Randy bought them, then sold them and ya all know the cycle after that. Im sure someone is happy with them in the Line "O" Ho's. CanaMike, I am now playing these..
  14. The profile is similar to the MP37's or the new Callaway X-Tours. It is much smaller and not as forgiving than the TS202's.
  15. Graphite Design M65 I think.
  16. The UT is still in proto mode and I am not allowed to give out them pics till the 20th of feb. I do know that gauge offers every shaft option under the sun. Graphite Design, Fujikura, Japanese Rifles etc etc.
  17. X-01 or X-01s. Maru is Paradiso/Tourstage same company but totally different equipment.
  18. Some proto's were made in the late 90's 275cc, 300cc and 380cc blank sole Bridgestone Proto's. This driver has very low spin and i would guess is about 9* Yes there is a new Driving Iron and UT coming out in mid Feb. Here is a sneak peak:

  22. You watched a set of Iron heads get made in a Tour Van? :-D i never said iron HEADS, i said my mizuno irons. they had the heads on the van and i watched them assemble them. sorry if you were confused. jason No dont be sorry I am confused, Its my bad.
  23. Its what I found to work best for me. Steel in the Driver keeps my ball in the Fairway x 10, X in the Fairways allow me to really swing at it, commit and go for it. My prob is when i swing smooth and slow on the FW's I lose accuracy. In Hawaii steel shafts have helped me keep the ball under the wind and in play much more than graphite. I have been fitted for R flex and X-flex just weeks apart, i have even used ladies graphite in my wedge shafts in the past. Its all about lowers scores and this has helped me.
  24. Thank you, My set now isnt as pretty as that one, so we will have to wait till about mid march before my next set of pics.
