  1. I hope to try the latest plastic putters and gimmicked out drivers to realize all I want is a stainless or carbon putter and a non-adjustable driver with an SP700 or DAT55G face.
  2. TourSpecGolfer replied to EaglesGolf99's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
No ego chart sorry. You can just specify what you want and we can quote you on it. Yes we do sell MG but in the background out of respect for Miura Global. TB-Zero no doubt their best blade. Likely Miura Global's next MB 3-5 years from now. MB-5003 is MB-101 By the way I just got a set of 2019 Callaway MB's brand new made by Miura 🙂
  3. Unfortunately I won't be doing those types of comparison videos that much so relying on other forum members for this is key. I will say don't put much weight in others opinions about golf clubs. Too many variables. Players need to spend more time learning how to fit themselves, its really easy to figure out comparisons when you consider, size, shape, material, 1 vs 2 piece, specs, the brand's other clubs etc.. We have all bought enough clubs to be able to understand what works and what doesn't for ourselves. Breaking down Yamaha vs Miura vs Epon vs PRGR on paper is more accurate than an actual fitting or video comparison. The logic is clear. 1 piece is smaller heads, feels better, is usually more workable, is not as long or forgiving. then cross reference the size of the club heads, the tech used and what irons it competes against, the tech, materials and specs speak volumes. Then on another level consider where it's made and how. Fittings are a joke now days. It's daily that people get full club fittings at say a club champion or PXG then a couple months later switch because what was longest, most forgiving, most accurate in the fitting doesn't play out the same way on course. Fitting is a cookie cutter process based on the same LM numbers, It's duplicatable so if one guy leaves another employee can be taught to do it. the same old fitting brands and sales strategies.. No mastery whatsoever. I long for the days fitting was done with experience and eye balls. Now everyone is an expert at everything online with no credentials. sorry about the rant.
  4. Modus for me! same reason as you guys, feels smoother and especially in winter! I also notice going down in weight or flex with Modus doesn't cause the same timing at impact issues as it does with Shimadas and others.
  5. Sorry bud, I gotta take these pics for you. email is the best way.
  6. Hey guys, Thank you. What I meant for the forum is a general direction, keep it, lose it, hire someone to flow our other content into it, any moderators wanna work with us? Since social media it's hard to allocate time to forums as it's becoming an antiquated platform with fewer views. While the forum members are the most vocal and hardcore in our industry it's also difficult to spend time constantly dealing with the opinions, info both good and bad and the drama involved in these types of forums. We are going to put more effort into: Social Media Blog Posts You Tube Videos Then possibly one of you fine gents can help us add those things to this forum and moderate? I would compensate. Sorry guys not much time but that's one way to get fresh stuff in here. Last night our staff updated the forum software, added new Anti-spam and did a little cleaning. Sorry about the mess recently. Anyone wanna buy some Viagra? lol
  7. Very sorry guys, I don't log in very often anymore. Working on updating the forum and figuring out what direction to take it. Any advice or suggestions is appreciated.
  8. I agree I think a draw biased head with a couple of anti left characteristics is more user-friendly. Face angle & shaft selection is a good place to start.
  9. Just to make a few things clear. 1. Mizuno never forged its own clubs. It is done by a separate company in Chuo that specializes in manufacturing train parts. Today the majority has shifted to China. 2. Japan forged clubs are not made like Japanese swords. Please slap anyone who uses the sword thing to market golf clubs. 3. The 2 putters in the images shown in the link are the exact same 2 open model putter designs available for decades. I have no skin in this game, just letting ya fellas know.
  10. These are the same guys who own Vega, Shimada Global, etc.. PGE Europe. They use Kyoei forgings to produce these outside of Japan. Would you like to see these in the proshop?
  11. http://blog.tourspecgolf.com/
  12. Yes, that was awesome! I love when he wins! Class act all around AND he has fantastic taste in watches ?
  13. Yes this driver is awesome for kids. There is some wins for a 9 year old girl in Japan actually. some info Geotech sent me:
  14. The Kyoei CB is much easier to hit than the MB. I personally like the proto CB in satin, awesome soft forged feel and just enough forgiveness without adding a lot of size.
  15. Jbeam's drivers are all so similar in performance and feel imo . Subtle differences but the hard part is they do not properly describe them
  16. I used to sell Roddio's woods. All their woods are duds except the fairway woods. One day a client had a part fall out and I could not get it replaced. the club was useless. I gave up because on Roddio because of their unwillingness to support their customers with parts.
  17. Xmas prezzy from the wife. she has no idea what she got herself into...
  18. Or once people accept it's all fuzz they can buy drivers for their own enjoyment with fewer expectations. I wish more equipment enthusiasts would collect grails.
  19. Hey TK, Soft, forgiving for a blade, a little larger for a blade. VG3 is much more forgiving and just as soft but in a different way. Crazy Sbi-02 isn't all that workable.
  20. Are we really expecting noticeable gains from any new driver? They are all pretty good. TM, Cally, Ping all the others... I could care less if any driver has a few more mph ball speed in the real world. Still gotta hit it well with the right combo to get your best distance. Golf is like Watches... You can tell time with a Timex just as good as you can with a Rolex or AP. It's about getting what you want, enjoying it, the quality, feeling good and standing out. Things in the real are maxed out despite anyone who says otherwise.
  21. I just got back into watches... I would love to make a dedicated watch category right below Japanese Golf Clubs category. What do you guys think?
  22. Ya know, as of today 2019 there are 6 brand new ones in dealers across america... I find that shocking.
  23. Yea it wasn't very entertaining imo. slow until the final holes. Also the guys being mic'd up. I am 99% they are not as stiff in the real. Would love if they could be their authentic selves but then likely they would lose a few sponsers if so.
  24. It's 50 bucks a pound when fresh. On a side note I just say fresh wasabi at 129 bucks a pound the other day!!
