  1. We will sell out soon, then the wait is long again :( Tomorrow I will post more pics of different finishes.
  2. Depends on the player, many have the too upright issue with FW's. We all got different body types.
  3. I eventually gave away my auditor machine after almost a decade of owning it, I cant tell any difference in actual score or end results on any of my personal iron sets that were MOI matched vs swing weight/length prioritized, so in the end to me its just a much more time consuming way to build clubs with many variables to go wrong, if you go too heavy or light off the start then other clubs feel horrible, I have hit sets that were imo perfectly MOI matched to my best club and they feel great in most irons but not all, something never "felt" matching to me. Ive tried blue printing my own sets, sst pure, freq match etc and no longer because there is no difference in my score, I still gotta hit that ball with a good swing and make the right shot decision. The basics are loft/lie/length/swing weight/grip size this allows you to learn what works best for you and how it changes when using different shafts or heads there is a process that allows the player to learn how adjustments in these basics turn to various results, with MOI matching your relying on the club builder and I will add so many top club makers email me with the dumbest questions "what is the best driver?" like really stupid questions or what irons should I sell to my customers... blows my mind then they turn around and talk like experts to their customers. Some of you guys know a lot more than most club makers already, most of you guys can fit yourselves better they can fit you as well. Some stores carry all brands have top notch fitting cameras and equipment yet everyone walks out fitted to only one company which is the stores favorite brand. Clubmakers will sometimes give a glowing review to anything that the customer can't do for themselves which makes them more relevant in a day where golfers get their best deals on the web. With the amount of time most of us spend on the forums and the amount we spend on gear we need to understand for ourselves the basics of club making, specs, shaft and head selection and how that correlates with "our own" swing using what we can see, feel, and measure on our own to verify.
  4. Go have them checked to see how strong the lofts are and if your plan is to game them minus well get them re-shafted and built to your specs.
  5. I took some shots of some pretty rare Ferraris at their HQ last week. The factory tour was amazing but no Cameras were allowed.
  6. The RS7 has been updated just recently, the newest one is a beast I think they release very soon.
  7. A few weeks ago we reviewed the Grandista DAT55G Driver head and today we have the same model except with an SP700 material face and silver highlights on the crown and face, So why produce 2 drivers both with the same design yet just different face materials? Its really about preference of feel, Yoshida-san former tour pro and founder/designer of Grandista was able to produce a slightly softer feel and sound at impact with the SP700 model yet with the same CT "Characteristic of Time" that the ball is compressed against the face and in this case it's VERY high at CT=257 for both the DAT55G model and the SP700 model. First off it's a top notch club, it's medium/high launch takes just enough spin off the shot to help straighten but not too much, I have my sample shafted with the new Fujikura Evolution II 661 shaft which is jam packed with tech and materials not to mention a good cost effective choice, this combo produced a mid/high trajectory that was very straight compared to most, not Jbeam straight but it also has more spin than the JB's do. It's got a shape that works and look good personally I like the way the black finish face looks in the DAT model but this SP700 model I like for feel and sound between the two for sure, The Sp700 just sounds a more softer crunch, maybe a hair more hollow where the DAT55G version feels hotter but that doesn't mean longer its a harder crunch at impact and a lower pitch sound. Outside of that the sole does look better in Black. Putting all that aside I think I would go with the SP700 and most likely stick with one of these EVO II's if on a budget and of course a Sanki or 7D shaft with no budget. At address I would say its among the top 5 out today, rounded just the right way but doesnt look oversized or even remotely closed at address, one of the best parts is when ordering with TSG due to our direct relations with Yoshida-san we can get very custom specs similar to what we are able to offer for our J-Beam clubs, for example need a 9.25* loft? no problem, 0.75* closed club face for sure this is fine. Head weights go up to 200g custom requested. while currently they only have 1 driver in 2 versions the new fairway wood is on it's way and looks to be promising with same key design theories as the driver but also a fairway with DAT55G face materials. TSG will be adding the Type-S Grandista Driver to the proshop this week. if you need custom spec or custom builds please contact us directly at [email protected] to help you figure out the best specs and options
  8. A-Design is A-Grind same thing pretty much. All pretty much are for mid to low cappers even the larger clubs are not exactly high spin and setup netural in specs. As far as I know Shingo isn't using this one but perhaps soon.
  9. With no official comments from J-Beam yet it does look the opposite of Ryoma's 60g power booster weight in the rear but the Ryoma is also for a different group. Anything ZY I would say the player will have to have enough power that low spin is a benefit, a lot of slower swingers don't do well with low spin heads which I've seen first hand. Its somewhere around 90-95 depending on tempo that we see the ZY or Blackout start doing its best work.
  10. A-Grind has been doing well, they are currently #2 ranked on JPGA for hybrids right behind Titleist, the newest 440cc driver is a soft low spin driver much improved over the classic 350 model and now the IYA-DO-MO Super High Cor Driver is coming next month to TSG!
  11. Sneak peak of the prototype ZY-7 Driver by J-Beam Golf spotted in the bag of long drive champion Yasuhiro Yamazaki. TSG will have a few in advance prior to release so stay tuned for more information, release date is early 2016.
  12. Was taking inventory this morning and found a box with the Miura/Roddio collaboration irons, i'll be posting these up this week only 1 set available anywhere.
  13. The glue is drying this week it gets tested.
  14. I have a couple customers that hated these and a couple that absolutely love them, whats even weirder is some say they are hard while others say they are soft. I've hit them with S200s and they are in between imo. Firmer forgiveness but they reminded me of not as soft Kuro's about a half club shorter in distance. One things for sure is they are expensive and not listed on Modarts site as a standard release. Gonna give these another chance for mondays round and get them listed in the pro shop again.
  15. Ive got a deposit down on a Quadrifoglio it arrives 2nd qtr next year, I went with white and the carbon package inside with carbon seats.
  16. TourSpecGolfer replied to jonbev78's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
No sir, both were discontinued last year.
  17. The all new Jbeam Ti Fairway Wood - Titanium and designed to be easy to hit from most lies Jbeam has made another very forgiving FW, they now have 3 excellent fairway woods that should be considered if you are in the hunt for one, the RX-FW which is perfect in feel and compact size for the better player, then the Jbeam Glorious which is more shallow, larger and more forgiving that we found very long and easy to hit as is and now the TF series which is Titanium instead of stainless with a cut away channel similar to Royal Collection this design is interesting because its shallow, oversized at 210ccs in the 3 wood but the CG is designed more forward so while you should have an easy time getting the ball up yes even from the rough it still wont balloon on you. Beautiful fit and finish to it as well.
  18. Your welcome! Thank your pal too. I haven't heard anything negative about this club yet only praise from those who have bought it.
  19. I believe they impact spin rates and wet club faces, I'm told it depends on the head design as to what the groves do or don't do in relation to performance. Anyone know for sure?
  20. Of course that one is available its all new orders that are being denied. I would assume Epon may still be able to produce drivers but it would bother me that everyone knows including Endo that their drivers don't produce as good performance as other companies drivers.
  21. Update : We were told they will quit making drivers and are no longer accepting orders but will still produce irons. yay! Endo made drivers have shorter total distance than other factories and cost a lot more to make.
  22. yes heads only, of course we can do custom builds as well.
  23. dXXIO 9 - Every 2-3 years XXIO revamps its flagship line up rotating with Srixons releases in between, this gives XXIO enough time to create more and better advancements in performance and technology in design. briefly some of the things im noticing: - the use of TT1100G and TT700G in the stock shafts - an emphasis on how the shaft works together with the head ( looks like a multi kick point shaft ) - heavier kinetic head theory and overall weight, higher swing weights even for clubs designed for slower swingers. - Titanium face in the irons - a couple new patents - Miyazaki dedicated black model for players who want more neutral specs lots of updates & upgrades with the XXIO 9 Series, all in proshop now for pre order with Dec release.
  24. A lot depends on the swing, some people have a different path with shorter clubs than they do with longer clubs. If you don't know what you need and the clubs you want are not available in component go with standard especially if your not on the high or low side of tall or short. Or you can find out what your ping specs translate to or your current set and order custom length.
  25. Its 3-PW in standard satin is 1200 Shipped there are not many available. If you need TSG ClubWorks to do a refinish we knock the price down to 999 but its an additional 75 per head for black boron or smoked copper with custom paint fill included. These are not super compact, they are slightly thicker in the top line, with a wider sole than most blades. Love the lack of offset!
