TSG Club Works Soft Copper Black Finish
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Oddly we have not been able to duplicate this effect. it must have been some chemical change that caused this color but we have tried several times and it looks normal soft black. Im sure the sunset also added an orange hue to the finish while taking photos as well. -
Mizuno MP5 copper underlay version?
TourSpecGolfer replied to nobmontana's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Copper under has always been an option for Yoro Mizzys likewise with Miura Custom Crafting. Got a ton of custom mizzy MP-55/MP-5's and the new wedges in a variety of finishes to post this week. -
While they look cool here are some things to consider. - Price for open model heads with no CNC - The grinds likely have a negative effect on performance ( depends on swing/turf but its very inconsistent ) - Not sold in Japan, this is mainly available in S.E asia while it is made in Japan If we just step back and think about how this grind interacts with the turf these make little sense.

Our favorite shaft company Seven Dreamers knows no boundaries, From Carbon space materials to nasal stents we see their latest and valuable contribution to the world with the Laundry Robot the Laundroid and it's an amazing thing, the prototype was recently unveiled in Tokyo and while it's work in progress the final product promises to solve the problem of how long it takes to fold laundry and keep them wrinkle free. Seven Dreamers says we will waste nearly a year of our lives folding laundry, president Shin Sakane told the BBC this project had been in the works for 10 years and holds so many secrets for the future. The release date for the final is in 2020 just dump a pile of washed and dried laundry into the Laundroid and it will be able to fold, sort and deposit the clothes in the drawer.

Gold's Factory M.A.C "Helios" Damascus Insert Putter
TourSpecGolfer replied to mpbachman's topic in Buy, Sell, & Trade
The M.A.C series is basically Sasaya-san's best work, I think only 12 or so made I forget. I've never seen one listed in the B/S/T. Whoever buys this can have a big discount on GF modifications. -
While I love what I do if I were at your fork in the road I would not enter this industry, everything about golf is on a downward trend, I read a lot of NGF and other publications and speak with people who monitor equipment sales about the state of the game, its not looking good anywhere on the globe and hard to find anything that is on the rise within the game. If you think club design is for you try with a pencil and paper first before learning a complicated software, there is no shortage of new designs on the market. Email me I will give you your shot at your first design if its good.

I've got pics somewhere in the forum, can't find them but will post again. Lots of experience with these wedges since we first saw them in February, they are a ton fun and get up super easy with a sole better for softer conditions, it does do pretty good in my local firmer conditions, it suffers only in 2 categories the first is appearance because its shallow in face height and shape as well as it's neck transition may not be what most of us are used to, In the rough especially deeper stuff if you go under the ball or come in a little too heavy good possibility to miss it if your not used to the shallow face outside of that these spin well and feel very nice at impact. Got a set of new heads ready to ship at a good price if someone is interested.

SEVEN | Our Putters are in Stock
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
These are all 500 + Shipping with double box to protect the pretty box inside, killer cover, grip/length/specs/finish/paint all free options. Other brands that produce at the same cost and same factory as our putters charge at least 1k for the same thing with no options, crappy cover, and no box. We went the extra mile on these to make sure they can toe up with the best and don't break the bank. read full blog post here: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/seven-putters-slowly-trickle-in/ -
Need help identifying: Yamaha Inpres GRX Irons
TourSpecGolfer replied to artileri's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Not really in regards to the rep, Im not sure what your looking for you can look at them and tell who they are for, that they are multi piece, they have an undercut and you can check the lofts. but yes as Vega said they are probably not worth much at all, very little I would assume. -
We will sell out soon, then the wait is long again :( Tomorrow I will post more pics of different finishes.

Jbeam TF Titanium Fairway Wood Pics!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Depends on the player, many have the too upright issue with FW's. We all got different body types. -
I eventually gave away my auditor machine after almost a decade of owning it, I cant tell any difference in actual score or end results on any of my personal iron sets that were MOI matched vs swing weight/length prioritized, so in the end to me its just a much more time consuming way to build clubs with many variables to go wrong, if you go too heavy or light off the start then other clubs feel horrible, I have hit sets that were imo perfectly MOI matched to my best club and they feel great in most irons but not all, something never "felt" matching to me. Ive tried blue printing my own sets, sst pure, freq match etc and no longer because there is no difference in my score, I still gotta hit that ball with a good swing and make the right shot decision. The basics are loft/lie/length/swing weight/grip size this allows you to learn what works best for you and how it changes when using different shafts or heads there is a process that allows the player to learn how adjustments in these basics turn to various results, with MOI matching your relying on the club builder and I will add so many top club makers email me with the dumbest questions "what is the best driver?" like really stupid questions or what irons should I sell to my customers... blows my mind then they turn around and talk like experts to their customers. Some of you guys know a lot more than most club makers already, most of you guys can fit yourselves better they can fit you as well. Some stores carry all brands have top notch fitting cameras and equipment yet everyone walks out fitted to only one company which is the stores favorite brand. Clubmakers will sometimes give a glowing review to anything that the customer can't do for themselves which makes them more relevant in a day where golfers get their best deals on the web. With the amount of time most of us spend on the forums and the amount we spend on gear we need to understand for ourselves the basics of club making, specs, shaft and head selection and how that correlates with "our own" swing using what we can see, feel, and measure on our own to verify.

Need help identifying: Yamaha Inpres GRX Irons
TourSpecGolfer replied to artileri's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Go have them checked to see how strong the lofts are and if your plan is to game them minus well get them re-shafted and built to your specs. -
A few weeks ago we reviewed the Grandista DAT55G Driver head and today we have the same model except with an SP700 material face and silver highlights on the crown and face, So why produce 2 drivers both with the same design yet just different face materials? Its really about preference of feel, Yoshida-san former tour pro and founder/designer of Grandista was able to produce a slightly softer feel and sound at impact with the SP700 model yet with the same CT "Characteristic of Time" that the ball is compressed against the face and in this case it's VERY high at CT=257 for both the DAT55G model and the SP700 model. First off it's a top notch club, it's medium/high launch takes just enough spin off the shot to help straighten but not too much, I have my sample shafted with the new Fujikura Evolution II 661 shaft which is jam packed with tech and materials not to mention a good cost effective choice, this combo produced a mid/high trajectory that was very straight compared to most, not Jbeam straight but it also has more spin than the JB's do. It's got a shape that works and look good personally I like the way the black finish face looks in the DAT model but this SP700 model I like for feel and sound between the two for sure, The Sp700 just sounds a more softer crunch, maybe a hair more hollow where the DAT55G version feels hotter but that doesn't mean longer its a harder crunch at impact and a lower pitch sound. Outside of that the sole does look better in Black. Putting all that aside I think I would go with the SP700 and most likely stick with one of these EVO II's if on a budget and of course a Sanki or 7D shaft with no budget. At address I would say its among the top 5 out today, rounded just the right way but doesnt look oversized or even remotely closed at address, one of the best parts is when ordering with TSG due to our direct relations with Yoshida-san we can get very custom specs similar to what we are able to offer for our J-Beam clubs, for example need a 9.25* loft? no problem, 0.75* closed club face for sure this is fine. Head weights go up to 200g custom requested. while currently they only have 1 driver in 2 versions the new fairway wood is on it's way and looks to be promising with same key design theories as the driver but also a fairway with DAT55G face materials. TSG will be adding the Type-S Grandista Driver to the proshop this week. if you need custom spec or custom builds please contact us directly at [email protected] to help you figure out the best specs and options

A-Grind IYA-DO-MO Super High Cor Driver
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
A-Design is A-Grind same thing pretty much. All pretty much are for mid to low cappers even the larger clubs are not exactly high spin and setup netural in specs. As far as I know Shingo isn't using this one but perhaps soon. -
J-Beam ZY-7 Prototype Driver
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
With no official comments from J-Beam yet it does look the opposite of Ryoma's 60g power booster weight in the rear but the Ryoma is also for a different group. Anything ZY I would say the player will have to have enough power that low spin is a benefit, a lot of slower swingers don't do well with low spin heads which I've seen first hand. Its somewhere around 90-95 depending on tempo that we see the ZY or Blackout start doing its best work. -
A-Grind has been doing well, they are currently #2 ranked on JPGA for hybrids right behind Titleist, the newest 440cc driver is a soft low spin driver much improved over the classic 350 model and now the IYA-DO-MO Super High Cor Driver is coming next month to TSG!
