Mizuno Yoro MP-R5L Wedges "ON FIRE"
Yesterday we had the boat load of inquiries asking about those tricked out MP-5's in the previous blog post, today we want to follow up with another truly unique item from the team at Mizuno's Yoro Craft department, these guys deserve some praise and as I said yesterday Mizuno comes second to none in having a custom options department that no other brand comes close to touching. Introducing the Japan Only Mizuno MP-R5-L Wedge geared toward the player who comes into the ball steep, there are two versions of the new R5 the W & L and the W is for the slider or golfer who's impact comes into the ball more level, as a steep swinger myself I had to get what I could hit best so the L it is. This wedge is forgiving yet from address it looks damn near perfect reminding me of a Vokey kinda, Mizuno has also implemented what they call a reverse taper blade design where they allocate more weight to the back portion of the club head to increase the MOI as well as RBI in a verticle direction to keep shot trajectory more stable. The new groove pattern also varies from loft to loft so that spin matches the type of shot the golfer hits. So these are obviously Yoro Craft wedges they are not stock setup, first thing to note is this wedge is 100% RAW as in no finish at all, these came double wrapped with oil to prevent them from rusting during shipment, we also went with a custom stamping configuration that removes run bird logo up top replacing it with the option engrave custom characters or none if you prefer the blank look. Custom grinds are available but after looking at the standard grinds I don't think they are necessary I mean this wedge has great killed trail edge to open the face as well as heel and enough toe relief to have some fun with shot creativity. Forged of S25CM/1025E these feel buttery soft almost sticky especially hitting them naked with no finish, spin is noticeably above average and the wedge is extremely forgiving making them very similar to the 2016 seven wedge which is also soft/forgiving/plenty spin. Available in 50/52/56/58* lofts you can also order these with custom grinds, finishes, and stamping configurations for an additional cost from the YORO dept by contacting us at [email protected]

Twilight Hokkaido | Mizuno Yoro Craft MP-5 Irons
Behold a completely insane set of Mizuno MP-5's custom crafted by Mizuno Japan Yoro Dept, these are spec'd to the brim with a ton of options. If your not familiar with the Yoro program basically its a selection of custom options that go beyond what most golf equipment manufactures offer, hand ground by the same fine people who make the Tour players irons and influence the R&D process. Hows this sole grind? Ever seen it before? Years back there was a limited set made for friends of Mizuno in Hokkaido Japan and TSG aquired one of them, this is the same sole grind we call Hokkaido grind, Mizuno doesn't officially call it that but TSG does and boy do we love it, best sole grind for steep descending players without a doubt and it was replicated beautifully on these MP-5's. Twilight Finish - I'm sure you notice this also, it's a plating or can be considered like a Dark Chrome popular with the hard core enthusiasts as its durable, dark, and just looks really good on iron and wedge heads. The offset or in this case known as FP (face progression) has been reduced/increased meaning there is 0.5mm less offset than the original MP-5. For many blade players the less offset the better. The top line and toe are boxed off a bit with the toe being sharper and the top line being straighter, this gives the player a more focus oriented appearance at address, it also makes the back face look more edgy and angular. Mizuno offers custom stamping options for certain models, the MP-5 only has 3 options and we went for a version that offered 4 characters of custom letters or a word and decided to leave it blank, these MP-5's actually dont say MP-5 anywhere on the head. As you can see below custom grinds have a big influence on the way the shape of the irons face appears, less curved and rounded in the top line, box toe with a very high and sharp peak. The twilight finish looks mirror from some angles or completely black from others. We custom ordered the words "Grain Flow Forged" to be removed from the neck and had them shaft these up at D3/D4 with Modus 125 Stiff shafts which are awesome for those who want a tight workable dispersion that is low, stronger players love the feel and performance of these, I like to think of them as an X100 had a baby with an NS950 to make the Modus 125 Tour. MP-5 4-PW - Hokkaido Sole Grind - Grind sharper toe and straight top line +0.5mm Face Progression (less offset) - Remove "Grain flow Forged" - Dark blue (Mizuno blue) paintfill for logos - 5-ANAME103 Stamping Empty - Twilight Finish - Nothing on Hosel - Modus 125 Stiff - #5 based on 38" - D3 3-9 / D4 PW

TSG Club Works Soft Copper Black Finish
Oddly we have not been able to duplicate this effect. it must have been some chemical change that caused this color but we have tried several times and it looks normal soft black. Im sure the sunset also added an orange hue to the finish while taking photos as well.

Mizuno MP5 copper underlay version?
Copper under has always been an option for Yoro Mizzys likewise with Miura Custom Crafting. Got a ton of custom mizzy MP-55/MP-5's and the new wedges in a variety of finishes to post this week.

Need advice- Itobori irons
While they look cool here are some things to consider. - Price for open model heads with no CNC - The grinds likely have a negative effect on performance ( depends on swing/turf but its very inconsistent ) - Not sold in Japan, this is mainly available in S.E asia while it is made in Japan If we just step back and think about how this grind interacts with the turf these make little sense.

Seven Dreamers says we will waste nearly a year of our lives folding laundry, president Shin Sakane told the BBC this project had been in the works for 10 years and holds so many secrets for the future. The release date for the final is in 2020 just dump a pile of washed and dried laundry into the Laundroid and it will be able to fold, sort and deposit the clothes in the drawer.

Gold's Factory M.A.C "Helios" Damascus Insert Putter
The M.A.C series is basically Sasaya-san's best work, I think only 12 or so made I forget. I've never seen one listed in the B/S/T. Whoever buys this can have a big discount on GF modifications.

Help me choose subject for next year!
TourSpecGolfer replied to Cforselius's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWhile I love what I do if I were at your fork in the road I would not enter this industry, everything about golf is on a downward trend, I read a lot of NGF and other publications and speak with people who monitor equipment sales about the state of the game, its not looking good anywhere on the globe and hard to find anything that is on the rise within the game. If you think club design is for you try with a pencil and paper first before learning a complicated software, there is no shortage of new designs on the market. Email me I will give you your shot at your first design if its good.

a grind iya do mo wedges
I've got pics somewhere in the forum, can't find them but will post again. Lots of experience with these wedges since we first saw them in February, they are a ton fun and get up super easy with a sole better for softer conditions, it does do pretty good in my local firmer conditions, it suffers only in 2 categories the first is appearance because its shallow in face height and shape as well as it's neck transition may not be what most of us are used to, In the rough especially deeper stuff if you go under the ball or come in a little too heavy good possibility to miss it if your not used to the shallow face outside of that these spin well and feel very nice at impact. Got a set of new heads ready to ship at a good price if someone is interested.

SEVEN | Our Putters are in Stock
- Anyone try swapping out driver heads from a Haute Couture 7D shaft ?
You should try it you can always put it back in the Ver.S when done.- SEVEN | Our Putters are in Stock
These are all 500 + Shipping with double box to protect the pretty box inside, killer cover, grip/length/specs/finish/paint all free options. Other brands that produce at the same cost and same factory as our putters charge at least 1k for the same thing with no options, crappy cover, and no box. We went the extra mile on these to make sure they can toe up with the best and don't break the bank. read full blog post here: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/seven-putters-slowly-trickle-in/- Need help identifying: Yamaha Inpres GRX Irons
Not really in regards to the rep, Im not sure what your looking for you can look at them and tell who they are for, that they are multi piece, they have an undercut and you can check the lofts. but yes as Vega said they are probably not worth much at all, very little I would assume.- SEVEN | Our Putters are in Stock
We will sell out soon, then the wait is long again :( Tomorrow I will post more pics of different finishes.- Jbeam TF Titanium Fairway Wood Pics!
Depends on the player, many have the too upright issue with FW's. We all got different body types.- MOI Matching!!! many of you are missing out on this technology
I eventually gave away my auditor machine after almost a decade of owning it, I cant tell any difference in actual score or end results on any of my personal iron sets that were MOI matched vs swing weight/length prioritized, so in the end to me its just a much more time consuming way to build clubs with many variables to go wrong, if you go too heavy or light off the start then other clubs feel horrible, I have hit sets that were imo perfectly MOI matched to my best club and they feel great in most irons but not all, something never "felt" matching to me. Ive tried blue printing my own sets, sst pure, freq match etc and no longer because there is no difference in my score, I still gotta hit that ball with a good swing and make the right shot decision. The basics are loft/lie/length/swing weight/grip size this allows you to learn what works best for you and how it changes when using different shafts or heads there is a process that allows the player to learn how adjustments in these basics turn to various results, with MOI matching your relying on the club builder and I will add so many top club makers email me with the dumbest questions "what is the best driver?" like really stupid questions or what irons should I sell to my customers... blows my mind then they turn around and talk like experts to their customers. Some of you guys know a lot more than most club makers already, most of you guys can fit yourselves better they can fit you as well. Some stores carry all brands have top notch fitting cameras and equipment yet everyone walks out fitted to only one company which is the stores favorite brand. Clubmakers will sometimes give a glowing review to anything that the customer can't do for themselves which makes them more relevant in a day where golfers get their best deals on the web. With the amount of time most of us spend on the forums and the amount we spend on gear we need to understand for ourselves the basics of club making, specs, shaft and head selection and how that correlates with "our own" swing using what we can see, feel, and measure on our own to verify. - Anyone try swapping out driver heads from a Haute Couture 7D shaft ?
