I've hit the VT and own a Ghibli now only things I dislike about them are like Nob said the name but also how they apply parts of the black finish just doesn't seem smooth. Hard to describe but it's been a problem I've noticed for years over multiple Baldo models. Other than that the majority of them are a dense spongy soft feel with a tiny crunch that isn't loud. Distance is mid spin with a penetrating trajectory even on the Ghibli which is their more forgiving model. VT's where pretty forgiving, Ghibli is very. We have their new samples on the way and have a good direct relationship with the brand. Another sleeper iron for mid cappers is the 8C, with it's strong lofts and super soft feel it's got great distance and forgiveness. hope that helps.

Guys I can do a group buy with 5+ shafts, each one would come with a carbon divot tool and run $200 less.
-
Kuro is visually an upgrade to the 2011's no doubt, same forgiveness with better address. Feel wise Imo they are a touch softer. I'm sure others will chime in later as a ton of people have these. A good sign is how many we have sold compared to how many are letting the Kuro's go in the BST, very few.

Yamada IPT putter restoration / anybody had one done?
TourSpecGolfer replied to nobmontana's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
If your on a budget and only want minimal tasks done like refinishing, removing dings, paint, spec adjustment, and assembly by far TSG Clubworks is the best option. If you need the tedious modifications there is only golds factory for quality work. Yamada knows this and has told our clients to use Golds Factory because they will not do it. -
Thats a question for MPB, not many have gone control shaft.
-
Is this MPB's control shaft? Sounds like a true fairway finder with the ZY-11 attached. I'm finding that if the player has similar swing to another second hand doesn't have a performance loss, although using in a different head does make it do weird things (sometimes) but the ZY11 nulls this. Look forward to your results.

Place a WTB ad I know someone had one recently. Great shaft & Driver but yes your right special tune + face shave = breakage. Special Tune is already not suited for 100mph+ speeds.
-
Face shaving like that is risky business, also for the price that driver is in horrible condition, better deals in the b/s/t.
-
Grand Master haha I like that. Yes Chiba-san does them all himself and everything Zodia is made to order hence why he averages 2 months. Yonex Ezone MB same deal yet shape is more Chiba. All sets are sold now :(

Visually I agree totally I even prefer RX to the Glorious.. but.. Id rather play the Glorious as its so much easier to hit, this one is supposed to be even easier than the Glorious and higher launching which would surprise me.
-
Yes head weight and face angle are custom options. Loft can be hand picked as well.
-
We just added some new Jbeam Products to the ProShop, samples on the way for testing! I'm especially excited about the new Fairway Wood, usually FW's are stainless steel with the light spec or distance version made of Titanium but as we all love about Jbeam custom head weights are available!

club shuffling for next season. Hybrids to DIs

New PRGR Egg UT w/ lead tape + heavy shaft is a dream if you want consistent mid/high launching super long shots with nothing to fear. -
Fourteen CT-112 vs Ryoma D1 V-Spec vs jBEAM Pro ZY-11
TourSpecGolfer replied to johnnypro's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I like Grandista a lot but have gone back to the ZY-11 because I hit the ball too high and I impart too much spin on my drives. Ping G30 I actually have a beater club in my garage and it's great all around just doesn't have feel, look, and has a bit too much spin even though it's sorta lower spin than average. Great club for most people though but while it performs well everyone who is a JDM fan that has one likes its performance but doesn't bag it very long.
