We are familiar with URA, many smaller brands now days and this one uses many models other brands have released just with a different flare to it like the driver and the irons. Tasteful adjustments in my opinion. We can get these if you want it, not so popular in Japan either.

Thanks Stew, Finish is actually bright Satin 56* has no offset It's 5.5 FP. 60* starts 6.0FP which is onset. 52* is 4.5 which is slight offset but for some reason you didn't notice it on the 52* and did on the 56* which has none. It's geared to the same target player as the Vokey and tested with mostly scratch players against A-Grind, Crazy, and Vokeys.

SOLD.......Buchi Global Edition Wedges (4)
TourSpecGolfer replied to koz's topic in Buy, Sell, & Trade
Just an FYI guys, you can't buy these anymore, these are the globals... WOW! -
For the copper lovers TSG is going to begin offering Cold Forged Titleist wedges ready to buy in Smoked Copper by TSG Clubworks. It does cost more because we have to yank the shafts, send them in for copper treatment then smoke them dark by hand but here is how they have come out:

Ryoma has a 34* UT which is the only one I know of higher, any others?

Yes 13 Wood, not 13* lofted wood... 30* to be exact, not my kinda thing but we had one in and I just had to take it for a spin. For those who are not familiar with the Maruman Shuttle it is a very good fairway wood I would say easier to hit than the newest egg fw, Maruman put a ton of weight distributed evenly along the sole to help lower CG and get the ball up blazin fast. good for high handicappers but with some weight and a heavier shaft can do extremely well for a better player who wants a point and shooter. so first whacks were big high draws with the 13 wood after I got it dialed in and was able to hit it straight and super consistently as well, very high due to the very soft standard shaft and very easy to over power and send any direction but for a slower swinger I could suggest this club with ease. Anyway it was fun and this is a good club for those who want to get lofty.

I have all the JOP grips. I like the concept and shape but yes the weight is very heavy and the quality is not there imo, there is a seem running down both sides that bothered me when I putt.

That's a fake for sure.

My Pride and Joy irons just got a major update!
TourSpecGolfer replied to nobmontana's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yes 100 is only made in SX. 85 is only made in S. I would have liked 100g in Stiff if they had it but am happy I went 85. It's way more accurate than my OT95 and even my MCI100. btw its a stepped carbon design that Crazy purchased the patent for. -
It's all pretty basic questions, no secret it's just what they do with it that is the key. What head, current club info, swing speed, what they want etc.. etc.. nothing too deep or out of the ordinary. They use materials that are proprietary to Super Resin while everyone else is using Torray materials.

STP's are great! Playing the 85g in stiff model, you went 100SX right? -
I would say buy a good shaft and you don't need to do this. In fact doing this to a good shaft will ruin it. I only suggest it on filament wound mass produced shafts.

The majority of our 7D users are based off the question system and the results up till now are no different from those who had the fitting in person. TSG has sold 40+ so there is now a lot of feedback. Targeting exact launch or spin rates is difficult even in person because there is that variable of the head and how it reacts to the shaft, what i find is that 7D does more than any other shaft co. to minimize risk of a bad fit increasing your chances of better performance. Most 7D users notice that the trajectory or arc has a "committed" ball flight meaning the little ups and downs or floatys are no longer present and energy is used more efficiently. A small segment already buys 1k+ shafts so why not get one fitted to the golfer, made custom for the swing and to match the head also made at the best materials & manufacturing carbon plant possible... Before 7D the 1k + shafts were outsourced to another co or worse made using sub par elements combined to fancy marketing terms. At the high end as of now nothing beats 7D.

The words Special Tuning is on the side. Be careful about Fake Ryoma's.

It's a very good driver, it's a high launcher reminds me of how the Maxima launches in the same lofts, face seems small but it is indeed forgiving and straight. Forgiving, higher launching, good feeling, spin is mid/low.

George Spirits REONESS Line - Driver first release
TourSpecGolfer replied to 604_skyline's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
With so many great drivers out there don't waste your cash on George Spirits. Their whole goal is to make clubs on the cheap and sell them high. TSG cut their account, George Takei broke off with them for the same reason. -
Taylormade Gloire G Coming November

Taylormade Japan has always been ahead of the U.S when it came to materials and pushing the envelope it's been this way since the R300Ti driver back in the day. The Gloire series is very good I still own the Gloire F and it's all around a great performer. The new G coming in November is the lightest driver in TM history and while it's draw bias thru weighting the face structure is also draw bias which is interesting as I've never seen a draw bias face before. There are 3 drivers in the Gloire Series, the F, the G, and the Royal Limited. two of them use Alpha Beta Forged faces which is a big +. TM Japan claims this is the deepest and largest speed pocket TM has ever produced.

There are two types, 2015 Egg Irons ( as seen in this post ) & 2015 Super Egg Irons. The Super Eggs are non conforming like a driver with a high COR face while the ones I'm showing in this thread are conforming. These are stupid easy to hit long and straight. I'm blown away by PRGR this year. I didn't do so well with the new Egg FW but these irons with a re-shaft would without a doubt shave more than a couple strokes per round off my score.

Mizuno Yoro MP5 - MP55 -R5W/L Order Bank Open
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
W Grind is same as it is with other brands, leading/trailing/heel/toe relief. Hokkaido Sole Grind is for steep swingers or soft conditions -
Every brand has a Kobayashi from Mizuno to Honma in fact they have multiple, it's the combined efforts of the team that produces the results not just 1 man. The difference I have noticed is far more releases but most of those are adjusting original models which is ok, I think they are are in a good place now. One thing that gets me is how Epon drivers are empty while other brands that produce at Endo have power slits, milled faces, chem milled crowns and a bunch of other technologies yet Epon keeps their heads very simple. Perhaps that's all thats needed.
