  1. Im still in the Honeymoon period but 7D + Jbeam TF-FW is silly long too. dead straight with a mid/high trajectory.
  2. Pardon the delay 777, Modus 105 Stiff Flex. This iron is very very good, near the top of the list right now especially in Yoro flavor.
  3. Best Combos are by Yoro, we can do a lot to match specs, bounce, grinds, lofts, top line, shape, offset, etc... outside of that I agree with others that they don't make much sense overall. I do think #3/4 irons in one type then 5-PW in another is not as bad as three very different types of irons.
  4. TSG is now able to offer refinishing and paint fill done at the Yoro factory to any used Yoro Craft Iron, it's a good option if you own a set and want to bring it back to life.
  5. I found them like numb NSPro's. Not much to say about them, I would suggest something else unless you know a particular model you can hit well.
  6. Great iron to consider guys, setup is phenominal, doesn't feel like it has an undercut, long irons as forgiving as kuros, lofts are fairly traditional. I have hit a retail demo iron and it's very good, I'm sure the yoro's will play even better. Enjoy the pics!
  7. For those who didn't know Globeride inc. formerly known as Daiwa owns ONOFF & Roddio and acquired Fourteen Golf a while back.
  8. A member has these in black boron and they look amazing, it's time for him to post pics ;)
  9. 2-3 times average per round is still plenty in the worse case a couple strokes lost maybe. reliable result low launch/low spin driver w/ very accurate shaft is one solution. the other is a deep faced FW playing slightly long in length, this way your fairway wood may not be as good contact wise off the deck. Bottom line is if your with the TF/Glorious/Alpha expect easy clips off the fairway due to a shallow face sound sole design with more toe/heel forgiveness than most and a higher MOI for straighter shots. Go deeper and the heel and toe real estate starts to pull in and the head gets taller geared toward workability, forgiveness will be closer to center or high and low on the face. this will feel more pure, more rewarding on the perfect struck shot but for most is not the ideal way to save strokes.
  10. I would not go TF or Glorious if you will use it off the tee. Get a club designed for where you need it most.
  11. Perfect! looks great! Glad you got it and sorry they take so long for their custom putters.
  12. Black Boron in Satin Brushed Finish? Never heard of this. Just figure that if it looks different and has a different name its a different finish that uses a different process.
  13. Right now yes, these are not made by Miura but still are very good, I have tried them and it's a very good package of setup & performance, feel is nice surprisingly more spongy than anything else Miura makes, forgiveness and distance is comparable to the 503 and Kuro Forged or VG3. Has the best address view in that undercut semi mid sized class.
  14. Ryoma is best off the tee with it's deeper face and shape. TF & Glorious also good but you can pop it up due to them being shallow.
  15. So the latest AAA has been sold out for a while now but the new Fujikura EVO II series in 661 and 757 have somewhat similar characteristics we have found at a much lower price point ($250)
  16. These are still one of the better CB's to get imo. Called a blade I feel they rival and play like most players CB's winning out in forgiveness and feel.
  17. It's the Jbeam Glorious FW vs RomaRo Alpha vs Ryoma D1 FW vs Jbeam TF-FW right now for the best shallow faced forgiving high launch easy to hit category. Customer feedback from just about all of these has been overwhelmingly positive.
  18. I had a super egg single iron and installed a steel shaft+shim then added a tip weight and lead tape on the head for D6, it was pretty amazing how long and straight it was a totally reliable result that I'm sure would save me strokes. UD+2 is of a similar flavor.
  19. Satin Boron is like a soft brushed satin with a slightly gold hue to it. The process is completely different from satin copper. satin boron:
  20. Calvin is talking about the new version just announced. Material Crown: 6-4 titanium Grade5 Sole: 3-1-1-1 titanium face: Super438FG-X Neck: light specific gravity fullerene titanium recipe Crown Sole: diaphragm forming processFace: high precision hot rod forging Neck: High Quality casting process Finish: mirror-mirror finish + Black IP Coating: raster Piano Black
  21. I've got a 9* Head but face is square. 200g head.
  22. The Cold Forged Vokey has been one of the most popular wedges sent to TSG Club Works for a refinish and in the above image you can see why, here we have a beautiful copper satin that at sunset or sunrise will glow almost orange. Some of these finishes are not for the faint of heart let's take for example copper mirror or satin each time the oil from your fingers touch this finish it leaves a fingerprint in a darker bronzy color that over a short period of time becomes a rusty patina immune to glare or glow. In sunlight its very orange and at sunset almost pink. Copper Satin - you never lose the copper you simply gain the patina/rust over it Copper Satin is a finish like copper mirror but it has been brushed to show a dull and less reflective surface, this like the copper mirror will change constantly into different hue's and colors. It looks so perfect because I held it with it's plastic bag on it but look in the above image, I touched the heel side of the face quickly and you can see finger prints that are a rust color making each time you reach into the bag to pull this club your adding to it's style. Copper Mirror is like copper chrome it's a reflective surface created by polishing, it rusts quickly but does not form a thick rust rather a thin tarnish. Black Boron - A durable plating and the only black finish to hold up almost as well as other platings, usually black finishes are a coating or a process on the metal while black boron is a plating like chrome or satin where it can withstand much more usage before stripping away and for this reason it's a popular choice for people who like a dark style but do not like rust.
  23. Zero word on a VG3 replacement. Compared to the VG3 this is longer, more forgiving, slightly larger head with very similar feel, I also like it a lot because the top line isn't too fat and the offset is not obscene.
  24. I stand corrected Yoro will NOT do copper underlayer, the Mizuno reps offered these limited sets almost a year ago for pre order. Hard to choose these with copper over a fully customized set of yoros with no copper as both are soft but my guess is + copper is a really nice feel. A couple things about copper to note: - Adds 1-2g+ to head weight - copper + dip + hand process = oil can or smoked copper etc.. - copper only goes under plated chrome or satin finishes "usually"
