Don't mean to scold anyone but before buying fancy clubs it's a good thing to understand what and why you need something. DG spinners & Graphite (depending on model) are likely worlds apart so that doesn't help you figure anything out. As mentioned Parallel tip = .370 I'm asking these questions to learn what you think works best for you as I can't see your swing or understand your club history. Ideally the player should at the very least understand their own specs: - Lie/length/swing/weight/grip type & grip size - what type of shaft models and what shaft weights/flexes work for them and which ones don't Not related to you but the red flags of a first inquiry customer not knowing whats going on are: - what loft should i get - what shaft works best with this head - what flex should I get what they don't realize is they are asking a stranger who knows nothing about their swing questions that relate only to them and their personal circumstances.

Japan has the U.S market hybrids and their own. To me JDM land has the better hybrids for sure. A-Grind Prototype Wood Modart MA01H Baldo 568 Maruman Shuttle ( FW is severely underrated as well ) PRGR Egg UT is silly easy/straight and long I hit the 4UT about 215yds which is longer than my 18* 5 wood. etc.. etc.. etc.. The list goes on and on what really it comes down to is what your skills are like and what your needs are: - compact/workable/deeper face - larger/straight/higher launching/more shallow face

New OT75 and OT105 Shafts Coming by Mitsubishi
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
When we order the length specific they come cut, if we just say 8pcs they come uncut. -
There isn't a model called Target Spin, It's the Gekku Raw. Parallel tip size hosel. As for the shaft what do you play now in your wedges? Do you want heavier or lighter weight?

A few come to mind for smoother swingers, Romaro Alpha, Ryoma Maxima, Grandista... We have clients that have installed 7Ds into them and swear by the result. I'm no power hitter I just have an aggressive transition and tempo that often gets out of whack or jerky, I also have trouble with my attack angle it gets near negative sometimes and I've spent a ton on lessons over the years to cure the issue but decided to tame it with gear.

With the ability to play any JDM driver and shaft Its not an easy task deciding on just one gamer, too much switching has hurt my score in the past but on the flip side having access to a ton of different drivers over the last 13 years has helped me understand what I want and need to play my best golf. In 2013/2014/2015 one brand has captured the big dog's spot more than any and that's Jbeam. Not from bias but for the simple reason that they are Loooong and reduce spin significantly, It started with the original 435, then the Blackout 435 and for most of 2015 the ZY-11. I currently own 2 Jbeam Blackout 435's and 2 Jbeam ZY-11's all four with Seven Dreamers Shafts installed, before that the Basileus AAA in 50 & 60 Stiff & Regular tipped along with many other shafts from some of our top shaft companies and It's not just me who owns multiple JBeams many of TSG's members have more than a few and for some strange reason just can't let them go. So what's new about my latest gamer? Well for one the white finish yet the biggest difference to note is the Limited Seven Dreamers L01 Nishijin-ori Shaft, This means all 4 of my Jbeam drivers sport seven dreamers shafts and thankfully my driving game and confidence has never been better. If you are not up to speed about seven dreamers I'm going to provide 2 links that will help, read them in order: #1 Explains the Brand and Concept: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/seven-dreamers-golf-shafts/ #2 Explains the New Limited Seven Dreamers L01 Nishijin-ori Shaft: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/seven-dreamers-l01-limited-edition-shafts-only-300-made/ Not convinced? Head over to the TSG Forums and checkout the insane feedback from real world clients these are getting. For what you get these are NOT expensive! The Seven Dreamers Matrix Shaft costs over 1k, the Haute that includes a custom fitting in person in Japan Only runs over 1500 and this Limited L01 is almost 3 grand! They do come with goodies that no other brand can match but what makes them special is they are custom made for you, your information, your driver head, your grip, your final specs it's basically a one off and the brand's database of what works and what doesn't is expanding at a rapid pace. I've known guys to buy shafts that cost over 1k that are off the rack, nothing special, not nearly the best materials so by this standard this far exceeds anyone's expectations. Above is my shaft design, I was fit in Japan 1 year ago and have undergone some swing changes where I simply updated them during the purchase of my next shaft and they revised the next shaft for me to reflect those adjustments. The result has always been mind blowing, Spin was my problem and it's now in check, too high a trajectory was an issue not any more and this L01 version is ELECTRIC! Seven Dreamers is a very analytical and straight up company I asked them what's so special about the new L01 they said Chris, Honestly performance is same as your current shafts but the feel has been improved. OK improved I will try it... How to put this into words, a normal shaft is like an F16 taking off a standard runway, this is an F35 being catapulted off the deck of an aircraft carrier, electric powerful kick that still feels like that smooth seven dreamers characteristic but now an increase in kick feel. It's not really any different than my other 7D shafts besides that and the ancient Japanese Nishijin-ori weave pattern on it. I'm not going to get too deep into it as you can always read the two links I posted above, but 7D needs to know your final playing specs, it's a huge deal the shaft design can't be complete imo until they take all details into consideration, that said I'm a big fan of the Elite Y360 with a wrap or two of tape under it coming off the Tour G J-Spec Grips which I still like in my irons. The ZY-11 is low spin/medium launch I've gone from 9* to 9.5* to 10* to 10.5* and am now using an 11* with a 0.50* closed face angle all this tweaking of specs has lead me to be able to swing softer and smoother for more distance than trying to crush the ball this has helped me maintain a good score later in the round after about hole #11 where I begin to swing sloppy if I have to really go after it but best of all no matter what I do the ZY + 7D Combo is laser straight, no energy loss in the arc of trajectory, perfect height and roll out for me. Straight speaking the ZY-11 for me is not as long as the Jbeam 435 but it's still the better of the two for my game. Crushing both with a hard swing when I catch the Blackout 435 on the screws it goes a good 5-10 yards further but the ZY-11 combo has the perfect amount of facial real estate for my miss hits which are high and low on the face. Want more info on this club, it's an older review but I still stand by it: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/j-beam-zy-11-review/

Kamui Pro TP07 DAT55G "Milled Series"
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It's got the Nitro I believe. -
the all new Honma Beres S-05 Series scheduled for a January release In contrast to the TOUR WORLD line of clubs designed for the stronger and better player the S-05 Beres series was created for the golfer seeking pure enjoyment combined with improved performance helping the average player lower their scores. In order to accommodate that Honma analyzed tens of thousands of swings and trajectory tendencies based on fitting data cultivated over time at the Sakata factory in Japan and yes these clubs are Made in Japan. Below the official details and specs on all the new models coming in the Honma Beres S-05 series:
-
Kamui has released 3 new drivers recently a new TP-07 Version 2 which uses a DAT55G face one of the most desired face materials found in JDM drivers from Daido Steel Co. in Japan, the other is a the TP-09D and TP-09S for deep and shallow and while all three are based on the same mold these do not have the DAT 55 face but rather a more traditional SP700 face. Furthermore I find the TP-07 to be a bit more special as Kamui has CNC milled the face down to the exact Maximum COR while keeping it under SLE rules ( conforming ). I will cover the TP-09 models shortly but wanted to start with the Ver. 2 TP-07 DAT55G first. These drivers have a cult following, although it's been around a while and in multiple iterations this should theoretically be Kamui Pro's best version of it. Distance/Sound/Feel should all be enhanced with with DAT55G and the head istself still contains Nitro gas, something I don't think creates much of a tangible result but none the less it doesn't hurt it either. I have not hit this driver yet and probably won't have time to so we do have this actual club here used for photos available it is 10* 200g and assembled with the Fujikura Evo TS 661 Stiff Flex, Elite Y360 Black Grip coming in at 45.5" D4. Please inquire with [email protected] if interested.

Should be S20/S25C.

I have these wedges, they are not made of solid copper but a copper finish. It's actually same as our smoked copper but they start with more grain and remove much of the dark finish with a brushing wheel. Shinagawa just did the grind work on a set of limited blades for SEVEN we have coming up.

Honma VIZARD IB95 vs MATRIX OZIK HD 95
TourSpecGolfer replied to jiggrack's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It oddly feels more numb, I think modus 120 is easier to load, I also thought Vizard was straighter. Just my experience with them. Kinda like a stiffer more boardy MCI imo -
New Release - SEVEN 2016 Wedges
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
64* is fully sold out, we will not be producing any more. -
Many requests over the years, now 8g weights are available. 1 weight is 8 bucks though.

You are in the minority when it comes to power, size, and strength part of the 1% or less that can bomb it 300yds. I would fully expect you to lose it with a light shaft. There is nothing high tech or difficult to make a good heavy shaft while it's super hard to make a light weight shaft that plays accurate and long. Just like in racing it's not easy to cut weight and maintain strength so advancements are seen headed this direction, as for heavy shaft advancements, they have already happened again not hard to make a stable heavy shaft if weight is not a concern.

Honma VIZARD IB95 vs MATRIX OZIK HD 95
TourSpecGolfer replied to jiggrack's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I can say hundreds of TSG members have tried Vizard shafts, no clue how how many use Ozik. Based on make, materials, technology I would go Vizard all day. I've played the 95, 105, in irons and wedges, they are tight, vizard shafts have metal fibers woven into tip for more accuracy, they feel firm, a little boardy, but they are accurate and for the stronger player. -
Any review on NGS D REV SEVE 80t Carbon Shaft?
TourSpecGolfer replied to EdGolf's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I would skip NGS, they are hanging on by a thread right now. Designs are outdated and they don't have the money to invest in new awesome tech, the shaft industry has moved on. unfortunately some shaft brands are still running on older methods. They make good shafts no doubt they just need an update. -
Super Long Distance, Super Easy to Hit. It's point and shoot, no workability just straight. Shafts are on the softer side, and it doesn't look anything like a traditional iron looks like a wood had a baby with a GI iron.

Seven Dreamers L01 Nishijin-ori Shaft
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
No fitting questions "required" for this one. But as I mentioned in the post that TSG + 7D can do it anyway and yes they will still custom tweak or make a new designs based on this model if that is what's best for the customer.
