  1. nice..i can't draw either but my kids will love it....course it'll help pass the time at work too...
  2. I was in New Orleans once, unfortunately have no recollection of what happened, have been told by several witnesses that I did have a great time, was unusually entertaining, and was only in serious jeopardy of losing my freedom twice, which for me during that life was way below par. My sister's kids live in southern GA, by Sea Island so I understand the HOT Florida reference, walk outside and it's like getting hit in the face, the humidity has a physical presence...ugh... got out to play yesterday and was even thru 12 when this kid joins up with me...proceed to play the next 6 in 6 over including a double from the middle of the fairway only 75yds out...after the butchery ended I told him that it wasn't personal but if I ever saw him coming near me I was running the other way..sheesh..musta been him and not the fact that 88* temp and 85% humidity finally sapped me...i never understand courses that don't have lots of water available.... Al, glad to hear your wedge is on the way, maybe mine are coming soon!!!! we're at 11 weeks
  3. # eleven in the first batch #14 in the second..
  4. I can't see any advantage using Precept, so Tourstage makes most sense to me.

Sounds like you may be swinging too verticle instead of along the line of the slope..when I block them right it's because I'm fighting so hard NOT to go left that I forget to release thru the ball..
  6. Very nice pics...thanks for the great review...I'm interested in seeing what you think of this later..I really like the looks of that club..since is doesn't resemble and oil filter on the end of a stick...
  7. I'll remember that advice...makes great sense to me.. Is that who the guy with the feathery ball was...I thought he looked familiar but the fog was sort of swirling around him.. Mike...you got Giardia? what a pain in the ass  sorry couldn't resist hope its better soon...

I agree with Mike...looks a little like the scratch pics i've seen
  9. Mike sorry your so ill...stomach virus = "we don't know what ya got we jus' know you sick"...shouldn't be drinking the water .... no wedges yet...getting really antsy as tourney time rapidly rapidly approaching and will probably need so time to work on distances since the shafts are going to be different... my club builder buddy is fixing up the TM mid I bought, getting a new weight piece from his contacts and buffing it up so it looks new in addition to new shaft...should have it back by Monday... I hit a couple of hundred balls last Monday and didn't recognize myself..everything went where I aimed it and most of them were clustered so I could pick them up only moving a couple of steps...very strange and twilight zoneish...if only I could bottle that swing.... my kids keep telling me I need a girlfriend .. :surprize: ..got me thinking about holding tryouts for ex-wife number three...this too shall pass... :money: :money: :money: :punch: :money:
  10. That is nice looking for a Volvo...it's just that all that safety goes against my desire to take my life in my hands everytime I get on the interstate system going north from Chicago on friday and south toward chicago on sunday...there's something about bumper to bumper at 85mph :surprize:
  11. Hey ericm007 welcome to the basement...
  12. Damn you are alive...3 weeks is a long time without playing..even if it happens in the winter..
  13. I have 1 that is a must for me to hit solid shots...keep my weight between my feet as I have a tendency to get wimpy with my legs and have the weight transfer to the outside of my right leg on the backswing (right handed) and firm left side...same deal I tend to go over to the outside of my left foot on the downswing...if I do this life is good
  14. Al, glad to hear the drugs are working! "better living thru chemistry" If you've only taken them for 5 days you don't even have the full anti inflammatory effect yet so it should get even better  Nice round...now if you can remember how you did that.. have a great trip....
  15. Gotta love America..I'm working the 4th of July and they are paying me double time and a half to sit on the company's computer and type this...thank you Grandma and Grandpa for coming to this country..plus its raining so I wouldn't be playing or practicing anyway...this day will pay for a trip to Whistling Straits....

This is the only one I can find and it is under contruction...sorry http://www.mitsubishirayongolf.com/
  17. I feel your pain...I can't get anything going if it takes me that long to play....for one my brain manufactures homicidal visions involving the slow death of the groups in front of me because they are KILLING me...not conducive to relaxation and recreation...living in the land of the tourista as you do would drive me further over the edge than I already am..don't think I could cope with that...I have enough trouble with 4 1/2 hr rounds when I play on Sunday's...which is why I don't normally work Mon or Tue...way less of a crowd to deal with...
  18. This question made me think, which normally hurts my head and thus it takes several days to respond. I have thought about going to a custom set of irons on and off for years. The only company I was aware of doing completely custom sets was Kenneth Smith and they were very :money: :money: . This was before the days of the Internet so searching out options were either somebody like KS or your local clubbuilder who would whip you up a component set. The latter was not nearly as expensive but for some reason, maybe aristocratic haughtiness, I could not get interested in components. Nothing "cool" about them and I am nothing if not   ..rrriiigggghhhhtttt. Another reason for avoidance of custom would certainly be ignorance of the process of club manufacture. Hey a club is a club..you buy it, grip it and rip it and that's it. Different lofts, lies, shafts, grinds(which was something that was preceded by bumps) head shapes and swing types was a foreign language. Custom fitting was a big deal when I bought my Hogans. I was not a very informed consumer..for that matter I probably have only enough knowledge now to be dangerous to myself  As for resale, a non-issue as I seldom sell anything..after all I might need it again...yep a pack rat... With exposure to information comes expansion of choice and when the stars align and my wallet says so I will order a custom set because I'd like to take the equipment factor out of the equation as much as possible leaving my results to be blamed solely on my physical failings. I think I'm ready to assume that burden of responsibility without dire emotional consequences. If not there's always therapy and a return to my Wilson Sam Snead Blue Ridges'
  19. those proaims look like they might work, I've been thinking about picking some up at the end of the month. Harrington has them for $60 I think which doesn't seem to bad and while I don't 3 putt much (oh I hope i didn't just jinx the crap outta myself) I don't make a lot of putts either..mostly because I don't trust my reads. I mark all my golf balls with a circle using a check n go and just line up the line on the ball with my read...works when I believe it but I'd like to putt better than I do...how's that for original improvement thought? ....
  20. very attractive young lady..and I agree she got game...ah well..the only way women that young pay attention to guys my age is if we got $$$$ in our hand.
  21. Chainsaw, Ah yes RX prices are and have been absurd for years. We used to build in at least 15% sales $$$ increase just because of the increase in prices. I remember the days of drug reps with full trunks of pills and other goodies to hand out. It's a shame how the system works. Personally I love the fact that you need 2 huge billing departments, one at the clinic and one at the insurance company just to code and process claims...and I the patient get stuck in the middle with no recourse except pay the bill or go to collections..wrong wrong wrong... I too benefit from great medical insurance but it does cost more than it needs to...this discussion can consume days... anyway..too tired to rant anymore... :tired:

I like my Gemini...yes it has a "ting" kinda sound and while others say it is really long I've lost about 5 yds but I hit way more fairways with it than my previous Launcher 330..It will probably become back up to my TM 510 mid to use on those courses where to miss a fairway is to die...really really a forgiving club which just begs to fly straight..
  23. Black robes! Explosives! ah the ceremony..the pagentry...an alter erected on the 6th green and a sacrifice to the god of chili dips...what a most excellent idea... sorry about the tardive dykensia chain...that can be a bitch...hopefully my case will limit itself to a tick.. torching the old in front of the new could be fun also...although it's never a good idea for me to play with fire...explosives tho..
  24. that would be like handing the election back to the republicans, which is ok with me but I can't believe the Dems would seriously consider her...there are just too many skeletons in that closet, along with a couple of interns..but who knows.. National healthcare is a bad bad idea. The problem with healthcare(and I'll keep this short and limit it to the biggest problem) in this country is it involves employers and not individuals...the company doesn't consume the same services as the employees if you have an organization with operations in several states. I can only choose the plans my employer offers not the one's I want...in my opinion what needs to happen is we all get a $5000 raise or whatever the costs currently paid by our employers, then we get a tax deduction for the amount we spend on healthcare since that benefit is not taxed now, and the opportunity to shop for our own medical insurance. Physicians need to satisfy patients or we don't go back..sit in the waiting room for 2 hours past your appointment time..sorry going somewhere else...we'd actually get to price shop services because the money comes from us not our employers...we decide to keep a physician/insurance group or not based on service and price. If you introduce free market competition into health care you will see amazing improvement in services offered and a quick end to skyrocketing costs. Again this is the simple version but having spent 20yrs in the health care field the answer is to keep government as far away as possible...when the last time you saw the government do something better than private enterprise? Hillary Clinton...bah humbug
  25. Indeed that was a very funny commercial, although it hurt to watch after the first time when I knew what was coming...I flinched every time
