  1. I have been interested in art but have not a refined eye by any measure. How does this work in terms of buying and selling for investment purposes? How liquid is this?
  2. I've been and still am playing with the 435 for quite a while. No big adjustment needed for me with the Maxima and pretty much plug and play. I do find that because the Maxima has 1/8 inch shallower face (I measured them), teeing the ball just a hair lower helps but no big changes needed in setup, swing, ball position needed. Clubs have to fit to my swing, not vice versa.
  3. Thanks. You referring the the new Type R UT or the previous UT from RomaRo?
  4. I find the Quadra SR to feel about the same as the 6.4. I am also a fan of play as soft as you can control and I do find distance loss when I play stiffer. According to Crazy flex chart, at high of 95, I can take SR. I tried LY02 in SR twice. OK, but felt a tad stiff for me and yes I think some distance loss. Dispersion loss with softer Quadra flex.. so far with WBQ55 SR, its tight enough in the Maxima for me. Even when I try to step on it.
  5. I'm a slow 93mph SS top of 95 mph. I play Regular 6.4 in Crazy non-RD and SR in Quadras. I find quadras play softer to Crazys.
  6. From my still limited playtime with it, I would say SMOOOOOOTHHHHH and very possibly smoother than the LY shafts and I have played LY01, LY01 Hot Black and LY02. Very stable for me as well. I find, so far that dispersion is good in the Maxima.
  7. Hi Sundowner, Are you playing the LY01NERO or the LY01 HOT BLACK? I ask because if its the former, it is supposed to be the highest launching shaft in the Crazy line up form what I read and may not be a good match for a highER launching head like the Maxima. I tried the LY01 HOT BLACK in my Romaro 460 HX in the past and it did help to lower ball flight in that head. If you are playing the former and perhaps looking to change shaft, you may want to try a mid kicking stiffER tip shaft in the Maxima. I am finding that the WBQ which suits the profile I just mentioned works well for me in my Type D. Just a suggestion and my 2 cents.
  8. I like the Yamazaki 18 as well as some of the GlennFiddichs (spelling?)and Glennlivets. Although not a single malt but I find can be better than many single malts is the blended Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Super smooth.

On some sites (Fuji US and here included) I'm seeing that the MCI 60 is a MID kick shaft whereas some Japanense list the MCI 60 and 70 and LOW MID kick. T, is it possible to verify with Fujikura Japan if the MCI 60 and 70 are indeed MID or LOW MID please? Thanks.
  10. C, Can you compare this to the EGG I+ pls. Thanks
  11. You're a tour player?! Thumbs are if you are!
  12. J. I suspect of the 4 crazy shafts you mentioned, if you are playing the same loft as the original d1, and if you are a high ball hitter, the 519 and Cb 80 being lower launching may be better.
  13. Hi Duff, I think you are still playing your Premia with FEX 55? If yes, and if your experience is like mine, I think you may find the Type D goes a bit higher even in the same loft. Given that the Maxima I think is designed to have a slighty higher trajectory than the original D1, the FEX with its low kick and more active tip may not be the best shaft for this head? If you are inclined, try a mid kick tip stiffer shaft in your Type D. The WBQ55 albeit still in the honeymoon period seems to be working for me over 2 range sessions and a 9 hole round. I'll post my review after a few more rounds.
  14. Oh, the if you want to stick with crazy, perhaps try the heavier high kick 80 series shafts. I ain't familiar with those shafts so I can't help there.
  15. From the spec sheet of Crazy and Quadra, you will see that the TJ46 is a low mid kick shaft that will give you a higher ball flight than say the LY02 (mid kick) and definitely the CB-46 mid kick as well but flies lower for me of the 3. I have played all 3 and still the CB46 and the TJ46. WBQ55 is a mid kick shaft. First time I am playing it and less than a week. How are they? The WBQ and TJ46 feel the best for me which could be a torque factor and the CB46 the most stout. That is also due to the fact that I tipped the CB46 half an inch. So, why play different shafts? The heads which are all different. The TJ46 I have in the original Ryoma D1 and JBeam 435. The D1 goes a bit lower for me than the Maxima in the same loft and the 435 is a 10* as opposed to a 10.5 for the D1 and Maxima. Given the lower (not low) launch profile, I opted for low mid kick shafts as being a slower swing speed (93 mph avg with a high of 95), I need more carry for more distance and I am by far not the longest driver of the ball here. Stats would put avg distance for me for my swing speed at 245 yards. I would say I am perhaps 250 yard average so definitely not Bubba. I have tried RD, LY 02, TJ46 and FEX in both these heads and TJ46 seem to be the best combo for these heads for me. The RD while long is the worst in terms of dispersion for me. I played a RD Stiff. CB46 I play in an older Epon Technity Titan 460 which I used to launch too high for my liking and no roll. CB 46 helped to fix that. Ball flight is lower and I get roll now. WBQ55 I read would help to bring flight down a bit. So far in my Maxima, I would say it does not fly lower than the LY02 (but I would not expect that as both are mid kick and the LY02 in Stiff was too stiff for me) but higher than the CB46 and lower than the Roddio M:6. In an SR flex, it is the best for dispersion for me in the Maxima. So far at the 2 range sessions and 1 9 hole round, I can tentatively say it is as long as the 435 and more forgiving and more fairways. That was my objective for the Maxima. To close the gap in distance between the original D1 and the 435 and yet retain the tight dispersion of the D1 for fairways hit. I think I have found the best shaft for the maxima head for me and hope over the next few rounds, it pans out as such. I have unfortunately not played the TJ46 and WBQ55 in the same head but I will hazard a safe guess that for me, the WBQ perhaps will fly just a lower than TJ46in the same head, both will feel equally good and dispersion for both will be as good. So it comes down to whether you want a higher or lower flight. IF you are a high ball hitter, for the 435, WBQ may present a better bet and vice versa the TJ46 if you are a lower ball hitter. Roll wise, the WBQ in the Maxima gives more roll than the TJ46 in the 435. That could be down to the heads. Flex wise, at 100, for the TJ46 I would suggest SR flex and for the WBQ55 Stiff flex. For me, the Quadras seem to play a half flex softer than the Crazy and I have gamed the TJ46 for a long while and the FEX for quite a while before the WBQ. Can you game a Stiff in Crazy and SX in Quadra? Probably but I'm a "play the softest shaft I can control" guy especially for a driver where distance is my main goal. I play stiffer in my irons where its control that I want. Just my 2 cents and I hope it helps some.
  16. What shaft do you have in it now? I found that the CB46 helped to lower flight and spin as compared to the LY02 as a reference point for you.
  17. I like the wbq55 for the slightly highER (not to be instead as super high) maxima head. Have not played it in the 435. Have I my played rd, fex and tj46 in 435. Got your pm. Will respond soon as it won't be a shirt reply.
  18. I have to agree with Chiro. I just shafted my Maxima with the WBQ55 but as its still honeymoon period, I do not want to post yet. I will say however, the initial results are very encouraging for the 2 elements of distance and control you are looking for. For your swing speed, I would suggest a Stiff flex as the WBQ seems to be a very stable shaft. I also play a TJ46 in my 435 and find those 2 a very good pairing.
  19. Upz for the day.
  20. That's most important. Playing what works. GLWS!
