Oldie but Goodie : Mizuno MP-32 Heads
My clear out continues... An old but legendary set from Mizuno. For me, the best after the TN87, MP14 and MP33. Features their cut muscle and these are really forgiving for a blade. This listing is for 3-PW heads. 3 and PW hardly played. Right handed. Paintfill removed on some heads. Matching serial numbers on all heads. Condition is good for the age but condition should to be a complaint given the price. Will post pics later. Giveaway price of $220 INCLUSIVE of SHIPPING and paypal fees. Thanks for looking.

Price Drop - SDJ CF I Iron HEADs
I've got a new set of Crazy Proto Irons waiting to be shafted making it 5 sets of irons so its clearance time. This is a very rare offering for a full set of SDJ Irons and its hard to get anything more exotic and boutique as Three Luck Sky Dream Jump. These are sold as HEADS only. SDJ D-Tour Type CF I 5-PW heads : These have a fantastic nickel like satin finish and are S25C forged and CNC milled. Lofts are as follows: 5I = 25 6I = 29 7I - 33 8I = 37 9I = 41 PW = 45 These are extremely soft forgings and adjusting loft and lie up to 3 degrees should not be a problem. Face pic with the wedges are 58, 51 and PW to 8I. The other face pic is 7I to 5I. PW was not even shafted by me as I play prefer a specialized PW. I need to highlight as in the pic that for the 8 iron, there is a small ding on the sole by the "8". About the size of the tip of a ball point pen. It is obviously not visible at address and does not affect play. Asking shipped by normal air post with track and paypaled nett to me : $275 for 5-PW HEADs. INSURANCE EXTRA Thanks for looking.

RomaRo 2013 I-S Sole SX Wedge!
Not sure how similar or dissimilar the type of metals and forging are for the new I-S and previous SX are but if they are similar, I can attest that it does indeed feel softer than the H irons from RomaRo. Are they forged in the same place? THe feel of the SX is not Epon type soft but soft enough. It also has a dense Miura type feel to it. Very different from the slightly harder feel of the DWDs or SDJ wedges. A good wedge that continues to perform for me though. As for the Ray stamping, you don't see it at address. Chris, what's the reason they did away with the sole channel in the I-S?

Fujikura MCI
I'm looking at them again and I think the last time I looked at a set of new irons and thought "too nice to play them" was when I got my first MG 5001s direct from when they took direct custom orders. These really look better in the metal than on the net. Just need to decide on shafts now.

Don't bother Chris. Like I said, know-it-all. He'll kick up a fuss elsewhere.

Get a life and grow up more beer. Shows how much you know about the shafts I mentioned. And highER doesn't mean absolute high. And just because it is high for you means it high for all? Stop being the know it all. Gets boring quickly. Really manly trying to mask under another user name.

For irons yup, it seems that way. BTW, the Protos arrived. They look soooo nice! The progressive cavity is very good. The short irons and PW are blades effectively

T, Flex wise, how would the MCIs play? Would an Sfor the MCI 60 be equivalent to an S in the Quadra 652i or say the NS Pro 750? Just trying to get a gauge of whether to go with an R or S if I decide to try the MCI 60. As a guide, for the Quadra 652i SR, I play those HARDstepped once and am ok with the flex. Would be ok with them non hardstepped as well. For the Quadra 752i R TIPPED half inch and HARDstepped once, find them a tad soft compared to the 652i SR HARDstepped once. Something in between would be perfect so maybe that's like a 652i SR without any stepping?

What is your favorite driver shaft brand??
Crazys seem to work well for me for driver and woods. Quadra graphite iron shafts are very nice and Shimada NWs for wedges. Keen to try the Crazy Black 110 wedge shafts.

Good to hear this from you Gandor as you are playing a very similar shaft in both. Congrats again. My WBQ 55 is in early next week and I really hope it works. Now I just gotta worry about the haze from neighboring plantations and hope it lets up.

S Yard XV vs. Maxima V
BAsed on that comment of your V-Spec trajectory and my experience with the Maxima, I would say that's a good calculated bet.
-
S Yard XV vs. Maxima V
If you are ok with the cb46 in v spec, you should be ok with cb46 in maxima. Mine was tipped half inch and I could not consistently drive after drive put on enough spin but when I did, it was long. Control was better for me than roddio.

S Yard XV vs. Maxima V
Also chiro, as a guide for you as you are very familiar with the 435 as well. Original d1 and maxima both 10.5 would be like a 435 10* and 435 10.5* with the latter being the maxima.

S Yard XV vs. Maxima V
Chiro, My wbq should arrive by mid next week. I hope the lighter version will work for me as your wbq is working for you.
-
S Yard XV vs. Maxima V
Channa, FYI, I see that you are playing a 9.5 V-Spec, if you are comfortable with that loft, I'd say stay with a 9.5 in Maxima. If you feel that goes way too high than maybe step down to a 8.5.

S Yard XV vs. Maxima V
Hi Chanaa, yes I have had the Type D for a while but I feel I have not found the right shaft combo yet. On why the 10.5? That was just going on my experience with the original D1 where I found the 9.5 was a tad too low launching and spinning (not to be interpreted as absolutely low launching and spinning) for my swing. My D1 10.5 works well for me so I thought I'd go with that. On what everyone is reading about the Maxima launching too high. I think people MAY be reading extremes into the word high. The Type D for me does NOT launch super ballooning high. Does it launch highER than original D1 in the same loft? Yes I do think so but to say that the Maxima launches super sky high I feel is not right at least not from my experience. As I posted in another thread, if I had to put a loft on it, I'd say Maxima maybe launches about 0.5 degrees higher but the roll is still better than the D1. I have not posted much on my Type D because my results are still tentative and pending shaft experiments. I have played the Roddio M:6 in this. Have hit 2 or 3 of my longest drives but the dispersion of the shaft is not the best for me. Tried the CB46 and found it was maybe too low spinning and hence could not get consistent enough launches. THe best so far is the LY02 but I was playing a half flex too stiff. I reckon the LY02 yielded even more roll. I have a WBQ55 coming in for this and if that does not work, then I'll scout for a LY02 in Regular flex. From my experimentations, for me, I feel for the Maxima which launches highER but not balloon high, a mid kick tip stiffer shaft works best. That is what the WBQ and LY02 are supposed to be so we'll see how it goes. I have spent the most for shaft experimentation on the Maxima but unlike some other heads like the TP07S or the 388 (for ME.. I know the 388 is a fav for a lot of people), I do see the potential for big distance (my standards not the 300 yard standard) that the Maxima has which is what I want from a driver. It is also forgiving enough in that off center hits still yield good results. Without the right shaft, I have already matched the 435 (my longest driver) on longest drives so I think once I find the right shaft, the Maxima has the potential to replace the 435 for most consistent average longest drives for me. What I am trying to achieve with the Maxima? Length of the 435 with the dispersion and confidence of the D1. I'm 1 or 2 shafts away form knowing if this is possible I think.

If you find the original V-Spec is a tad low, I think for the Maxima you can stay with 9.5. My 10.5 Type D does launch a bit higher than the original D1 10.5 but not ballooning sky high like some may allude to. If I had to put a loft to it, I'd say Maxima maybe flies 0.5 degree higher loft for loft. Hope this helps some.

T, Did you manage to get the MCI 60? What flex and how do they play? Got a new set of irons I'm looking to shaft ;-) My default now is Quadra 652i SR. If yu have played these Quadras would be great to hear comparative feedback between MCI 60 and 652i.
