Definitely so Robbie! You're making me rethink...

FS : Ryoma V-Spec 9.5 with Crazy LY02 SR Flex Iomic
I think I'm more consistent with my White Mamba JBeam 435 RD combo so I'm selling this as this has not been getting much airtime. Don;t get me wrong, this is long and forgiving and probably longer on average than the 435 RD combo but I'm just a tad more consistent with the 435 and hence more confident off the tee. I hope I don;t regret this. So here goes... Ryoma V-Spec 9.5* with Ryoma Headcover and fitted with a new (not pulled) Crazy LY02 SR flex shaft playing to 46 inches with an Iomic Grip. SOLD

FS : Crazy LY02 Noir SR flex UNTIPPED
Selling my Crazy LY02 Noir SR flex which is untipped and plays to 46 in my Ryoma V-Spec head. This was bought new and played maybe 6 rounds now with it. Very very little range time as well. It is still in my V-Spec head so this will be the first pull by a certified and experienced club fitter with low heat and a proper shaft extractor. They are no scratches at all on the shaft as it is that new. This has a back Iomic grip on it which will be included. Asking $425 shipped anywhere paypaled. It's a great shaft which I should have gone with a R flex. Thanks for looking. Lots of good feedback on golfwrx and 100% on ebay.

What's a higher launching and spinning 50+ gram shaft
Thanks. My LY02 is a 6.7 which I find a bit much n the back nine. I play my FEX FW 55 in SR flex though. I think I will go with a Regular or 6.2 in the next driver shaft. FYI, I play the RD in Stiff and it feels quite a bot softer than the LY02 SR flex. I'm moving that direction as I don;t want to have to worry about drives on the back nine given driving is the worst part of my game to begin with.

What's a higher launching and spinning 50+ gram shaft
Thanks. I was a big fan of TourAD before I ran into Crazy and Quadra. It could be in my head but I find the consistency of GD now not close to Crazy and Quadra.

What's a higher launching and spinning 50+ gram shaft
Thanks for chiming in. May I ask what flex you are playing in the CB46 and FEX Proto now and what your 7I CARRY is please (your 7I is standard loft or 1-2* stronger than standard?)? Thanks.

What's a higher launching and spinning 50+ gram shaft
Hi Robbie.. I have the LY02 in the V-Spec 9.5 right now LOL. I find it does not launch high enough (it's not worm burner low though) and sometimes, not enough spin. I'm hoping to find something in the Crazy or Quadra range that launches slightly higher and spins slighty more than the LY02. I also play SR flex now and I find on the back 9, I don;t load as efficiently as the front 9 so I'm stepping down to a regular flex as well.

What's a higher launching and spinning 50+ gram shaft
Thanks. I don;t think, going by the description that its for aggressive hitters, that its for me though. What about the Quadra FEX 55? Does that launch and spin higher than the LY02 and RD? Thanks.

from Crazy or Quadra compared to the Crazy LY02 noir. Thinking of trying one in my V-Spec 9.5.

New Driver Project : White Mamba
PLayed another round but not at my own course. In terms of forgiveness, the V-Spec is indeed more forgiving in general. The 435 I find is more forgiving on shots closer to the heel than to the toe. Misses is a push fade but no slice. No bad misses left. I also believe that the 435 also spins more than the V-Spec. Distance wise.. there was huge promise... although only 1 drive at this distance.. I hit the longest drive EVER at 260 meters or approx 280+ yards.... and on the fairway... I have never hit this distance, nt even in my younger days... and this is accurate as I ranged it. THe sweet pot for this 435 is definitely closer to heel and about mid height. There is roll with the 435 but as mentioned above, I suspect not as much as the V-Spec but that launches lower anyways. I'll know more end of next week when I get in a couple of rounds at my home course. Trajectory is definitely higher with the 435. So far what I am liking less than the V-Spec is the sound.. if V-Spec is the definition of muted, there 435 is on the other extreme as tingy and loud. Not nike square kinda tin can loud and more high pitch. Feel wise, the 435 head feels softer. Could be down to the RD and LY02 shafts to some extent.

Idiot shaft question time on my epon FW
Great Info. This comment I believe applies to my swing weighting question for shorter clubs as well. Thanks.

New Driver Project : White Mamba
the lower launch comment was in relation to the LY02 not against all shafts. That is what I read here. Also, yes teh RD started for senior golfers but.. according to what I read as well, was found to be so stable that they started making stiff and even X-stiff flexes for not so old golfers.

New Driver Project : White Mamba
Played 9 holes with this and the first ball was a right push fade into the hazard LOL.. Early days report...this combo, despite the RD supposedly to be lower launching than the LY02 in my VSpec combo flies very noticeably higher than the V-Spec 9.5. But it should as the Jbeam is 10.5 degrees.. the 435 head I am finding however, is not as low launching a head as many have found.. not for me at least. Now this is not the course I normally play so I won;t comment yet on distance... but... after I adjusted my setup to this driver... I have to set up closer to and with the ball more left with the VSpec... this thing has potential to be long...for roll, there is but I suspect not as much as the V-spec.. It carries further though... will know more after next week when I clock in a round or 2 at my familiar course... I got some stick from my flight mates when they first saw White Mamba.... comments died down after a few good drives and the last hole when I took the 4 skins.. :-) Will post more after more rounds..

Idiot shaft question time on my epon FW
For me, there is a distant difference in feel and incase in stiffness flex for flex when you move from 50 to 60 to 70 plus gram shafts. It is probably due to the shaft walls getting thicker and the kick profiles and tip stiffness getting higher and stiffer. Performance wise, just harder for me to load consistently which can mean the ball can go anywhere...

What is the club fitting logic on swing weight for shorter clubs?
Hi, You read it right. And yours is one school of thought I have heard. The other school is play the same shorted 5I at C9 as swing weight is really only static but the lie of course has to be adjusted accordingly. Actual weight loss is maybe only 2 grams from the 1/2 inch of butt cut off. Or go to a light weight grip to compensate for the 3 swing weight loss but not adding any head weight as per your school of thought. And going to a lighter grip say the GPDecadelite or Iomic Sticky 1.8 light which are 38 and 40 grams respectively I think will reduce the overall club weight even more is the original was a standard 502 gram grip. Just trying to ascertain what club fitting schools preach and the logic behind it.

Help on Ryoma
That's one way to see which head is best for you LOL. Here's a twister... maybe the shafts in those heads are not right for that head combo for you... :-) The Black I think wil be very very different from the DI5R1. Don;t know much about the claymore if at all.
