  1. What kind of finish are on those wedges? Does it eventually wear? Which model are you playing Chris?
  2. Like all things, Japanese do things to perfection. Just look at their food, their cars, their lifestyles. It's just a way of life for them.
  3. How/Why are Japanese companies so "great"? The same reason why you buy a Porsche made in Germany vs a VW Beatle made in Mexico. You'll definetly be shelling out more dough for the Porsche but you buy the porsche for its appeal, quality, looks, etc.

HAHA...what a classic post. Mizuno has some great looking CB's that look like blades at address. Or just get a set of cb's with very little offset, thin topline :smile2:
  5. Just got my 2u and 3u from Chris. They are awesome looking clubs I'll give a review after i get back from the range

Any word on how these play?
  7. I mean don't get me wrong, I know Honma is more of a status symbol than cost-benefit value. But you can probably get better craftsmanship through Hiro Matsumoto, Gold's Factory, and GD at much more reasonable prices. But I know some fellas that buy Honma just cuz its Honma. Oh well...as long as I can woop their butts at 1/10 the cost :smile2:
  8. Probably Honma 5 star gold plated clubs. Talk about waste of money.

Think it was the Euro and Japanese 300 series. Very hot face and like FAQ said non-conforming. If you don't care about USGA rules then it is one of the longest out there...even longer than the 300 tour.

When's the release on that bad boy?
  11. Man...that is a nice setup. Is this a state of the art system? Brand new or in used condition?
  12. The JC now this...great reviews. I envy your equipment  I was interested in the NS Pro 1050 shafts, how do they play in comparison to DG, PX Rifle?

    Wrong forum :-D
  14. Chris have you played these irons? If so what are your feelings on them...very interested in getting a set. Also, what does it mean to be "tuned" by Gold's factory?
  15. The SHV450 only comes in all black or black/white. The belt runs for 16,800 retail so your looking at $150 retail for the belt not to mention shipping. I'm sure Chris can chime in and give you a much better deal.
  16. Custom order shoes from tourstage :smile2: !! Don't think you really have any other option other than going with another product.
  17. So sweet and so clean! Can't wait for the review and a comparison with the GD's
  18. Welcome back from your trip Joe
  19. If your going to get RAC CB's either get the Japanese TM which is for sure Miura forged, tour (most definetly Muira forged) or the RAC TP's. There is a world of difference between the Muira forged irons and the crap China coin forged irons. I suggest waiting around though because in a few months TM will probably come out with a new set of CB that many tour players are currently playing with. Design is very similiar to the tourstage z101's and mr23 cb's. But if you can't wait around the RAC CB's are great irons as far as playability and forgiveness.

Both models High COR USGA non-conforming. Xr05 is an updated version of the Xr03. Both very very long because of the exceeding COR limits. As far as feedback...I have hit the Xr03 and it is a long driver. Feel is comparable to the old TM 300 tour drivers (not as good). Pricing wise, your better off going with a R7 or 510tp.
  21. If you like your driver heads heavy, go for it. Depending on what you want to do with your ballflight eg high, mid low trajectory, just place the weights accordingly. All 10 gram weights would probably give you a mid trajectory at a very heavy swingweight (d6?)

That is probably the most inaccurate statement I have seen. While the r7 driver head may appear to look smaller at address the r7 tp is still a 410 cc driver. In my opinion the R7 if anything is more forgiving than the 510 tp especially with the weight configurations. As far as reccommending an upgrade from a 510 to a r7...just hit both and decide if you want to justify spending the extra $200. The r7 is definetly more forgiving but the sound is aweful. I still like the muted sound that the 510 tp produces. Both drivers are about par on distance (maybe 5-10 yards longer with the r7 for me) but don't expect a magic box. The R7 head is more compact than the 510 and for me this makes it easier to turn the head over.
  23. All you need now is the Gauge FW and Gauge wedges and you'll be an official Gauge whore :smile2: Awesome looking clubs and bag though
  24. FUJI VTLT MITSU SHAQX GD M85 ALL BUILT FOR YOUR SWING
  25. Looks like a tight fit. Is it a 9.0?
