  1. Those bastard cats. Hope you can get everything fixed.
  2. WE SHALL SEE!!!! :punch:
  3. Guess i'm going to have to go with a GD MB/CB set. If only they'll make the MB's in black teflon  The MB's look similiar in shape to the mr23 blades and mizuno mp37's. The milling marks on the back of the iron look wierd...an all uniform look would've been cool.

Everyone's rootin for the poor guy. Lotsa personal problems that set him back but I hope he returns to the glory days when he was battling tiger. On a side note....VIJAY says IN YOUR FACE to Tiger. I still like Tiger's chances to return his numero uno ranking.

  6. "SHOW ME THE MONEY"!!!!! That will be Phil's deciding factor...and his agent will be saying that to whoever wants Philly.

LOL....You Taylor Made Whore. They do make exceptional gear. I'd like to see how their new cb's will do.
  8. I'm not too positive but i think the regular version (non-tp) of the RAC Driving iron comes in 22*. From the comments about the regular version it is actually easier to hit. PM Chris or maybe he'll chime in. The 19* is a bullet.
  9. Just got mine too  You get the TS grind on that bad boy?
  10. It actually does matter how hard or soft the steel feels. FE wedges will give you more spin than stainless steel wedges (of course different groove cuts will affect this as well). Depending on what conditions you play in this does matter. Some wedges feel softer and some wedges feel crisper. It all depends on what feel you want. I think Chris was just giving everyone a heads up about the durability of the wedges. If someone's going to drop $250-$300 per wedge they would like to know it will last more than 1 golf season. To a pro it doesnt matter but to me and other's on this board i think it's good to know. I don't think the pros are complaining but giving their feedback on these wedges. They don't like the bounces on them and they feel too soft...that is their opinion just how I think balata balls aren't durable enough, or cally's look like shovels, or the mr23 blades aren't forgiving enough (is this complaining?) I care what tour pros think just like I would get feedback from anyone on this forum. Just like your decision to buy scratch wedges...if you had never heard any feedback from anyone or knew anything about the wedges would you have bought them? There are plenty of retail offerings that are awesome wedges even if they are not made to my specs. I have a set of scratch wedges and they are good...but my retail x-wedges, maru's, and mizuno's are all better in my opinion. I'm sure you can find just as many people that love scratch custom wedges as any other offering. But i wouldn't doubt for a second if proto vokeys, cleveland tours, moz, hiro matsumoto, custom mizunos wouldn't be just as good or even better than scratch even if they don't have custom grinds. It comes down to what you like...nothing more nothing less.

X-16 pro offsets are not bad. What cally needs to do is get back into the driver competition because their getting wooped by TM. I don't know if Cally will benefit from making a set of blades because the market for them is so exclusive. They have to look at what sells and what type of golfer they are catering too. If they want to go after a certain niche ie the better golfer then they can use Ben Hogan to do that. In general they need to go back to the glory days when they had the GBBs and ERCs. Maybe a smaller profile iron would be cool but their catering towards the game improvement market.

Just have Chris ban him and his IP address. If it's too good to be true then it's too good to be true. Don't be suckered.
  13. Either a dark glossy, pearly black or the creamy white color in all the GD putters (like the type-0 you sold me) Or you can do pink like the shinobu putter j/k.

The 808RF "Carbonium" is their new composite driver similiar to the Callaway ERC Fusions. Personally, I think composite drivers blow...way too light, terrible feel, very expensive. The 500 ti is their big gun at 500cc, high cor and goes for 1000+. Personally I have not had the opportunity to hit these but have played the old LB's. Honma makes a good product, but more along the lines for the slower swing speed/executive player. If your father is looking at Honma's as a status symbol and game improvement then they will work. The drivers are very easy to hit...especially if your talking about a 500cc high cor driver. The star ratings indicate higher end shafts and more gold plating on the drivers. The higher the star rating the more strands of fiber are placed in the shafts and you get more gold emblems  If you want exclusivity and functionality I suggesting looking at the XR-05 limited edition, JC371, SRIXON 404. Honma is more for looks as you can walk into a course and showoff that you own Honma's. I mean even some people in the US know that a full set of Honma's can cost upwards of $35,000. Functionality wise they are not worth the money but if it makes your father happen then go for it. I suggest going to a couple local shops and testing the drivers out. I know there are at least a dozen shops in the LA area.
  15. HAHA....no more cotton method for me. I heard of a guy who got too greedy with the cotton in his R7...took his swingweight up to D9. Joe does the tape make it hard to screw in the screws or does it fit real snug?
  16. If you decide to go the Fourteen route I'd suggest the 858 over the 660. Feels much more solid and goes a tad farther than the 660. The profile on the 660 is a bit smaller. I currently am playing the rac driving irons and they are great. The 19* takes my 3 iron out of the bag and is terribly easy to hit. Trajectory is mid-high, feels pretty solid and gets the job done. Probably not as easy to hit off the deck as say a mid-rescue but its definetly a go to club. The Hogan CFT and TM Rescue mid are also awesome clubs if your looking more for a wood looking utility. As far as iron-like utility clubs the TM Rac Driving iron is hard to beat.
  17. DM, You gotta move on...MR23 CB's are the thing of the past. There's probably going to be a new set of 23 CB's coming out soon. In the meantime get some Hiro Matsumoto irons. :money:
  18. Too hard to say. Like everyone else on this board they will tell you to get fitted so your equipment will be optimal for your swing. There is just too many factors that can determine what flex is best for you. Just pay $50 bucks at a reputable golf shop and get your swing analyzed and fitted for some irons. If you have any Callaway Golf Centers near you I suggest you get fitted at one of the centers. State of the art equipment and excellent information. While your at it get your Driver fitted as well. If anything, you might gain/lose/stay the same if you switch from regular to stiff. Only testing and monitering your swing can you see the results.
  19. Chris, Do you have any pictures of the Hiro Matsumoto wedges?
  20. Yup...feels like s**t sounds even worse. Almost like the head is going to explode. I wouldn't recommend it and TM doesnt reccommend it as they say dust particles can get in and the clubhead.
  21. Chris hit it on the dot. Have a reputable clubmaker bring the swingweight up to where you like...if you like your swingweight at C9 then your set. My only gripe with them is that they schred too many balls. Other than that...awesome feeling, great grind (very aggressive on the 58).

Any word on how it plays? Similiar to the hkpro? 952te? How about the ZCOM MW series? At that cheap of a price I might just have to pick up both and see what all the fuss is about. If it's any better than the HM-4 or HKPro then I'm definetly in.
  23. Hiro Matsumoto, Gauge Design CB's or MB's, Gold's Factory MB's, Custom Japanese Mizuno's, MOZ CB's or MB's. As far as wedges: MOZ, Custom satin Mizuno's, Tourstage X-Wedges, Tourstage Maru Wedges
  24. As far getting completely new wedges and custom grinding the raw heads from scratch then Ari from Scratch golf is the guy you want to talk to. He gets his 1018 soft carbon steel heads from Himeji in Japan so the quality is top notch. If you want Joe to grind your existing wedges or do some customized work then Joe's work is nothing short of stellar. Any finish, bead-blasting, custom grinding, I think Joe can do it all.
  25. Chris, any kind of custom grinds? Pricing? Bounce and loft combinations? Differences between the old 515 wedges and these new ones? Can you get your hands on GD tuned wedges?
