  1. Looking for a new/mint putter in any length, thanks...BB
  2. I know it's not Jspec but I'm absolutely loving my Callaway Diablo Edge Tour 15*; extremely accurate fairway wood with plenty of pop. I have it shafted with a Fubuki 73 stiff and it's a keeper...BB
  3. OK I wear US size 8.5/9 and my foot is on the medium width side if not slightly narrower. I own Shingo's Asics and 8.5's are snug and my 9's are a hair big (in between); what would you guys recommend? I'm worried they might be too wide but the Asics are fine from a width standpoint....BB Also how will I go about replacing cleats in the US once they wear out? I would love to order these tonight! BB
  4. No problem nudgeegolf, I have them shafted with limitied edition black chrome KBS x-flex and re-gripped with stock Taylormade MC's, look INCREDIBLE! I will keep them in like new condition as well so you never know...BB
  5. You guys will not be disapointed, the Burner TP's are a very capable iron set. I justed recieved my all black Burner TP driver today and can't wait to give her a spin. It looks incredible, very refined and powerful...BB
  6. Hard to go wrong with the Nippons, at your swingspeed I think the S200's might feel a hair too stiff. It all depends on your tempo and transition, if it's fast then maybe not. I would think the Nippons would have a softer feel too. Sorry to thread jack! BB
  7. Honestly I don't know, I'm guessing the Yamaha's will have that nice crisp Endo snap which is very similar in feel to both other sets suprisingly. I'm hopng the profile of the Yamaha's is right between the Callys (MB's) an the Burner TP's (modern players CB). This way I kind of have the best of all worlds. I have multiple shaft options but I want to bendmark them first with stock shafts so I can make a more educated guess. I have three sets available; very cool looking Matrix 117gr tour prototype CJ Choi orange crush graphite X-flex (incredible steel shaft replacement, very tight tolerances and perfect frequency slopes), Nippon 1150gh Tours X-flex and last a set of Project X satin 5.5's. All shafts are brand and sitting in my basement waiting for a shot! I've had success in one capacity or another with each one of these options so really I can't see me going wrong (knock on wood!). My sentimental favorite is the Yamaha's simply because I've lusted after a set for so long but I need to let the perfomance of the irons determine the winner...BB
  8. I'm extremely excited to say yes; nothing has happened to the Burner TP's, I've been working with them and my Cally X-Proto's all winter. The Burners look very trick with black chrome KBS and the stock MC grips (TM logo faces down on grips from factory, well done TM!). My Callys have the origional Satin PX 5.5's and are built to the hilt! Now comes the king of irons, I'm so PUMPED UP! What I have on my hands is pure competition and they will all probably win! I did sell my Scotty Cameron Circle T and two other sets of irons; flipped momma some cash and still had enough to purchase these, not the cheapest hobby in the world thats for sure...BB
  9. To answer questions, distance appears to be on par if not a bit longer (seems like I spin this setup a hair more which is good!); feel seems identical as you work into the undercuts which has definitely not been the case for many of the irons in this category; I was surprised to be honest. Might have something to do with being cast vs forged; don't know. This was one of my concerns before I purchased these, I disliked the difference in feel as this category iron progessed into the cut-muscle, to me it seemed as if the if you where playing two totally different iron sets, not good. I have not experienced this at all with the Burner TP's; thank goodness!
  10. I've had a decent amount of time at the range with my Burner TP's now and I can honestly say these are without question the softest cast irons I've ever hit. They have a mid/high trajectory and very forgiving for a modern players cavityback. Keep in mind I'm hitting balls in a heated stall in conditions ranging from mid 30's to low 40's at best, I think it's impressive that they feel soft at all in these elements. As I've posted in the past the irons durability is a nice added benefit, been in the bag for weeks now and do not have a single ding or any bag chatter at all, I LIKE THAT! Interesting to note historically I am not a Taylormade fan at all but I must say this offering is impressive...BB
  11. You know I totally agree with both comments about casting vs forged but there are a few nice benefits, one being durability. Since they have managed to create a soft casting which is very forged in feel (I'm quite impressed and surprised actually) the added value is they simply will hold up better than a forging. Less likely to deviate from lie/loft as well. So in this regard it's good, I still highly doubt the true sensitivity of a forging is there, time will tell. If I had to make a true comparision I would say Endo in feel vs Miura; not buttery but crisp yet soft if that makes sense.
  12. I will have the pics up in a few hrs, they turned out spot on perfect! BB
  13. No undercut in the short irons, the rest are pretty minimal. To answer one question, we pulled the heads a little while ago and they are taper tips, nothing out of the orginary.
  14. I will sell no wine before it's time.....They will be done on Monday.
  15. OK they showed up today and look awesome! Now off to my tech to have the shafts pulled (man I hope they are taper tips!) and have the KBS black's installed (spined and flowed of course). As a footnote, I compared both dark blackish grey finishes (heads and shafts) and they are almost identical, should turn out very sexy baby! I will post many pics when completed. If my concept turns out as planned get ready to load those Paypal accts because these babies should be pretty tempting. In regards to feel, with the soft cast technology (ie. Burner B's) and my techs corking method (for another conversation) these should really be pretty soft; if they aren't (long time forged guy here) trust me I will tell you....BB
  16. They cleared customs in Chicago early this morning and are in transit. They are actually shafted with the stock S200's and not the Nippons so unfortunitely can't help you out there...BB
  17. I will be pulling the shafts ohhhh about 25min's after they arrive so I will indeed answer your question and also post many pics, I for one would want to see them too! BB
  18. Good question, my guess would be tapers (better be at least!!)...BB
  19. Just checked EMS and my Burner TP's are in U.S. Customs.....T minus and counting! BB
  20. I don't think anyone said anything about being better or worse than another set. Just a super sexy and very rare set of high quality irons....BB
  21. I think the 2010's are the cooliest looking set of irons on the planet, man are they sweet! BB
  22. I love these irons, can't stop looking at them....BB
