This one keeps growing on me; how is the actual feel at impact? Old school or tech?

In the pics the quality appears to be very high; in hand doe's the fit and finish indicate the same thing? I really like the look of this one....BB

That driver always had a wonderful feel and sound; one of the better drivers produced in the past five or so years in my opinion.

The best sound I've ever experienced was the origional Mizuno 300S. It was muted but very responsive at the same time if that makes sense. I also like the FT-5 myself; kind of like a wooden baseball bat. For me it's all about "proper" feedback; the driver can have many sounds as long as I can relate it to the quality of the ball strike. I do not like when the driver has a consistant feel even on mis**ts, nothing is worse then thinking you just smacked one to find it fall out of the air like a wounded duck! The sound is relative to the performance such as the Callaway product. The Mizuno above had more of a crisp thwack versus a dead thud if that makes sense.

gocchin, what is the face angle of the 9.5* GR black?

I can't decide which driver to order; the all black XD 445 or the new Epon with 1* open face! The Epon sounds so nice but I love Tourstage too!! Now you add this Mizzy and I'm totally lost. When is the Mizuno going to be available? Is the face black on the Mizuno as well?

I know; don't need that much but give me at least .5' and I'm happy; with my swingspeed closed is to difficult to eliminate the left side.

Do any of the XD 445 lofts come with an open face?

Doe's the GR have the matrix crown? What are the face angles of the 9.5* and 10.5* please; thanks...BB

Good feedback; thanks. My swingspeed is in the 108-110mph range and I like to play X-flex for that tight feel and allow the head to launch the ball so I typically lean towards 10-10.5* drivers in the .5* to 1* open face range. It sounds like the stock shaft in X compined with the 10.5* in the 445 might do the trick.

I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these but need to know face angles and overall launch/peformance characteristics. The stock shaft sounds really nice on paper so I might just order that one in X-flex so let me know how she plays as well....thanks, BB

PRGR sold; smart, very smart! Honestly; that driver is one of the bad ass models of all time if you ask me. Next up; the one I honestly hope you don't buy; RC Fd Driver. It has a custom paint job that's much much better than factory; weak swings need not apply (unless the shaft is replaced) on this brother; she's an absolute BOMBER!

If someone is looking for a super sick driver in 10.5* with a stout shaft then this Royal Collection is it; the paint job is stunning and it's a bomber! I really don't care if it sells because it's that nice. Chris is selling the headcovers for this model in the Pro Shop too, how cool is that!

I think may people would benefit from playing fairway wood with much more loft. I'm a 3 handicap with medium spin and play my fairways anywhere between 15* up to 17* depending on the type of head and shaft. It seems like the more loft I add the better and more functional the woods become with almost zero actual distance loss! I sold my 13* & 14* woods long ago...

Sweet flatstick; Golds Factory really seems to produce a wonderful product. If I'm guessing correctly; I bet they look much better in hand.

I actually saw one of those shafts for sale on the Bay a week ago and the cat had no idea what it was; indicated he spoke to everyone about it will no luck. Some kind of prototype V2 with Axiv technology would be my guess.
