  1. I baught a set of PRGR 900MD's from Chris a while back and they are super sweet as well. I also found a used mint T3 Black driver on the Bay to fool around with and its still in the bag! I'm telling you, PRGR is nothing but pure quality, good stuff. These irons are completely cool looking and I have no doubt that they perform quite well. I love PRGR...

    WTB: 1150's

I purchased a set of Tourstage CB2's from a member here and want a set of Nippon 1150's in X-flex to shaft them. Must be new/mint taper tips. If not, Chris I will be loading Paypal shortly...
  3. I've been snooping around the Cirle T's lately and now I have the virus. I'm looking for 350gr heads so I can game at 33'. I have tons of nice stuff for cash and trades including putters, irons, tour issue woods, etc. I would also consider older heavy gun blue and gun black or oil can (not sure this one was made heavier or not) non circle T models as well. I would consider an intial invest no more than $1200 and offset anything else with clubs (good ones!).
  4. Are the tour AD Pro's still available? Do they have an X-flex and doe's anyone have pics? They sound sweet for my game.
  5. I have had these in two sets of irons and currently play them in my S-58's. I think they are the best steel shaft replacement in the business. I play many of my sets in X-flex steel (TC's and Nippons 1150's) and still am able to dial these in perfectly. They make your irons play at least one club longer; makes things a bit tricky. Need a very good club tech to built them consistantly; all in on my end. Do not spend another dime on a set of graphite irons; not worth the heavy pricetag in my opinion. My main reason for always having a set of these around is cold late in the season in Ohio really damages my hands (I play almost all year round) so I transition (right now actually) into these when the weather gets cool. I love these shafts in orange; very durable finish as well.
  6. No one? Not No.1 or any of the other asian brands.
  7. I need help guys; I'm looking for an alternative to the Winn belly putter grips (hate Winn); doe's anyone know if any of the alternative Co.'s offer a model (one or two piece is fine). If so how can I order it...thanks boys.
  8. Those are such bad ass looking irons; need someone to play them and do nice review Chris?
  9. I need a good deal on one of these guys; I have a ton of sweet equipment as trade bate as well including shafts ( brand new Code 6 and 7 in X-flex) and a number of hybrids (Adams, Sonartec and Nickent). Talk to me...
  10. Depends on one's needs. Example; if you are talking 60* I say my new Chikara is as good as it gets but for my 56* needs I go with Scratch all the way. Now if cost is a consideration both of these are out like Brittany Spears!
  11. These grips are awesome; feel great.
  12. No doubt I wouldn't even bother with that one over there but its all true based on my experience.
  13. Personally I have mixed feelings about this topic as I've had wonderful pieces of equipment in both segments. I will say this; if you are not fine tuned enough to not only know your game but properly fit equipment then spending the extra bucks on "tour issue" is truly a waste of money. However; if you invest in the good stuff and it works then all is well in my opinion. It's nice to find something "special" and unique such that it is. Another interesting outcome to consider is resale value. Because I've come accross very fair sources (it's true you really need to know the source) I've managed to break even on many purchased because the "tour issue" stigma tends to lend itself to a higher resale dollar (even for last years model) then stock retail offerings. Moral of the story; play what works for your game. If that's a 9.8* tour issue driver 2* open and 1* flat then do it but don't for a second believe that the overall quality of the product is somehow better because it's not.
  14. I will definitely find either a 425 or a 460 at some point; I've been waiting to bag another Mizzy driver ever since the 300M days. Doe's anyone know the face angles? Since we never see adjustments in lie angle on drivers what would happens to the loft (if anything at all) if you decide to flatten the lie angle?
  15. Antique finish is super cool looking!
  16. Both are as good as it gets. I have both in many sets; soft feel and wonderful control. Six in one and half dozen in the other if you ask me. Just as an FYI; I play X-flex in the Nippon 1150's and S3's in the TC's. I will never ever use anything but these two options (unless they stop making them!).
  17. SOLD; lock it up boys.
  18. Here are the specs: 1.) 9.5*/1* open 2.) 44.75' gripped/D2 3.) 267cpm's 4.) Axiv-V 7076 (untipped) I acquired this 100% legit tour issue head (without serial numbers) brand new never shafted with tour van sleeves so this head has never been tinkered with what so ever. It turned out perfect and its the longest driver I've ever hit by far. I would discribe this setup as mid spin/mid launch with a very piercing trajectory. Perfect for the good player with a 105-115mph swingspeed. I will include the grip of your choice plus one brand new tour van ferrule just incase you choose to reshaft at some point...$750 shipped (below my actual build cost and much less than market value). Please PM with questions and Paypal address for purchase.
  19. This tip from my pro really helped me. It makes sense if you think about it; steep equals out to in or a flip.
  20. I've had good luck with my PRGR T3 Black. I shafted it with an Axis and its ballflight and shape is spot on. My miss is a hook as well. A lot of times the hook stems from lifting the clubhead to quickly in the take away. Try pretending that you have a catcher behind you and make sure you drag the clubhead back along the ground until it wants to lift into the catchers mit. I'm guessing this tip might help you out as it did me.
  21. They are really very sweet looking in person. Then again; every single PRGR product I've seen eludes an overtone of quality if you ask me. I played another round today and yet again no letdowns at all. They offer me everything I'm looking for in regards to workability but in an easy to use package. I want to play them a few more rounds then bag my other endo's (MR-23 US Specs) to see which set I like better. I'm pretty sure these are much more forgiving on ball strikes a hair off center. These are definitely more forgiving than my blades. The grinds on these babies seem to have been very well thought out. This and the overall feel (TC's and cork didn't hurt either!) are with out question the 900MD's strong suits.
  22. I recieved these last week and tuned them up with a set of True Temper Tour Concept S3's spined. My setup is one degree stronger than stock and one degree flat. I set them up at D2 with stock lengths. As I have many iron sets I will compare them to my most recent gamers; Miura CB-201's. First; they are mid size but not bulky or drastically offset. I really like the setup as they hide there midsize quite well. First thing I noticed today (first round) in wet conditions is the nice mid bounce grinds. I'm a picker of the ball but even when I missed a shot I didn't notice significant digging. The feel seems soft for an endo forged iron but not as soft as the Miuras. I actually found the feel to be a wonderful balance between a crisp and soft forged feel. Very easy to recognize the quality of these sticks. This is my second PRGR product and I'm quickly becoming a big fan. These are very similar in playing characteristics (ball flight; workability, etc.) but more forgiving on mis**ts. I had no problem working the ball high and low as well. In a nutshell; players CB performance from a more forgiving midsize iron; hard to beat that! This would be a wonderful set to introduce to a person considering the move to a players iron without the tricky transition. Blade guys may find these a bit to large but not bulky at all. Hope this helps; I will offer more feedback as I log more time with these. My early impression is very nice looking high quality iron set for the low to mid handicaper looking for a high performance iron with a bit more forgiveness. PRGR is sweet fellas!
  23. Charcoal will not be available in 34/350 this year; sucks.
  24. I think this is a great deal so I purchased a set and god knows I didn't need another set of irons but for those of you who know PRGR quality; simply can't beat this offer.
  25. No, I actually added a 4grs of lead tape to my FT-5 to bring the swingweight up a hair and the CPM's down from 271 to 267...perfect. The SQ CPM'ed at 265; very close and in my range. I hit the Superquad much higher as well. I will tell you what; I came into a mint PRGR T3 Black and shafted it with a Grafalloy Axis 75S tipped .5' and it may be better than both. Threading hairs; all three are super high quality driver setups in my opinion. The T3 Black is the big sleeper of the bunch...
