  1. But how was the thumb stir fry?
  2. I think so too mate. Some clubs need to be packed away respectfully "for Ron"!
  3. Love driving irons. They keep me out of trouble too - and great for low recovery shots!
  4. From Craig's build stats - sounds like they can get less weight and more performance in the tip end of the shaft? Only D2 swingweight @45 with such a heavy head. I guess this is due to the better materials and design freedom they have. All very fascinating, and looking fwd to hearing more.
  5. NSW golf club this time of year is also a decent test of golf. Maybe you are a bit hard on yourself?
  6. Did the lighter overall weight of the new driver throw things off? Gotta match the feel and tempo flow of everything in the bag. This is the holy grail I think!!
  7. I am 43 years old. Golf is starting to hurt with heavy clubs (wrist injuries etc). I am going lighter/softer through the bag because gym also hurts and I am too busy with work and family to find time. I am sure I am not alone!
  8. Awesome thing Hutchy - great stuff!
  9. Spoon I have 2 Roddio for Zodia wedge shafts with Zodia proto heads 52/58 on them. They play and feel great but s200 just works for me in wedges. Let me know if you are interested and I can send pics. Superb paint job on these shafts - stunning.
  10. Sorry TSGers. Damn phone!
  11. I have one on my Jbeam 425 - firm, really tacky and quite thick at the butt end. I would def give them a go on an iron set next. Excellent grips.

  14. That's a Masda grip. They are soooo tacky and durable!
  15. I was comparing my brand new cast US market Vokey lob wedge to my (gamer) JDM Titleist forged back-to-back the other day, hitting all sorts of (full, half, bunker) shots. Summary? Spin - same Feel - JDM won by a mile Finish quality - JDM won by a mile Durability - and this was the big surprise - JDM won by a mile, presumably because the satin chrome plating is much thicker and better quality I'm a materials scientist and so notice every little detail about this stuff, but this little study still tells me that the materials selection and production quality is still far superior in JDM-made goods! Also just bought a near-new set of PRGR IS3 500bl irons recently (still my favourite heads) and just can't get over the fit and finish on these things - just sublime satin neo-blade forgings. The new PRGR stuff is the same I am sure. My 2 cents
  16. Been playing the JBeam 425 Tour 10.5*/ Roddio Shingo 2009 combo and driving really well with it - so far my fav JDM driver head of all time.. JBeam 535 11*/ Roddio Shingo 2010 combo gotta be done next!
  17. Very good plan indeed! I still recall someone trying to balance all of those bottles in the Tokyo steak restaurant....fun day.
  18. The old Technitys yep they were weighty and had a brilliant grind....and I agree with Supo about the raw 2008 Yammies - my favourites for full shots and current gamers. Also love the JP Titleist forged 62.
  19. Will take the Matrix if still there? Cheers Darren
  20. I know these are older, but I have 2 sets of Tourstage irons with the TDI-03 102g graphites (same vintage as the famous p9003x (badged TD-03 by Tourstage) and so I think also made my GD). They say 80t carbon on the shaft. I loved the Roddio I-10 shafts and these play tighter and less spinny for me, and have great solid feel. Hard to find Cheers D
  21. Funny.....I think we all know about that scenario!
  22. Hi Hutchy what is the loft?
  23. I have the shaft and a 9.5* head going up for sale soon. PM if interested. Cheers Darren
