  1. Looking for a set of AF Tour for a friend. He prefers heads only but wouldnt mind shafted it is the right shaft. Let me know what you have. Thanks
  2. Dont know about other models but do find the Fiamme plays a bit softer to flex. On the same head and same playing length, the Fiamme is about 8 cpm less then the FE 55R.
  3. I have the shaft or should say I had the Fiamme for about a month. It was a wonderful feeling shaft but it was either the too soft or the wrong profile for my swing. I had the 50R and the driver head was lagging behind on the down swing. Perhaps a different flex or a different model would suit me better. Didnt want to sell it but was losing distance from my FE 55R. Maybe I should try the 50S or Spada.
  4. Years before the popularity of stand bags, some old timers at my club would use two flat sticks about 2 to 2 1/2 ft long with a screw about 2/3 length so the two wooden sticks would open up to form a 'X'. The 'X' then is prop up against (brace one end on the ground to form a bit of bridge) a light bag to form a make shift legs when needed. The player would then fold up the 'X' when move on to the next shot. I do not think there is such thing as retrofit legs for golf bags.

  6. Besides the cost, this is one of those putters that are difficult to master like the old Yonex blade putter used by Mickelson years ago.
  7. I am not recommending any one particular shaft but rather recommending you to consider using dedicated fairway wood shaft rather than cut down driver shaft. I personally find that FW shaft performs much better than using driver shaft for fairway woods.
  8. The old statesman of Japanese putter makers is Hiro Matsumoto. I personally like the MG08 which is heavier at 550g for 34". Like the putter so much, I bought two, one to use Toronto and one in Hong Kong. Unfortunately most Matsu might exceed your $400 budget.
  9. Definitely not the first-too busy. Both 2nd and last one are fine with the exception of the cigar.
  10. Not just a Ryoma but a Ryoma Premia with the FE is a marriage made in heaven, soft and fluid at the same time.
  11. Their wesbsite would tell you which model is made in Japan and which is made in China.
  12. Oh B, just buy them and use it for practice. ;-)
  13. There are a few Special Tuned on the Japanese auction site but I assume that they are the real deal.
  14. If you use a caddy that carries instead of pulling a cart, then he is absolutely going to hate you if you use the JDM staff bag. The only lighter JDM golf bag would be the OnOff which uses lighter material slightly small in size. Their design is also a bit 'quieter.'
  15. Sorry the shaft has been committed.
  16. Warping lead tape inside the hosel or around the shaft tip? I thought the OP was talking about using shaft weight pin inserted into the tip of the shaft. Some driver heads do have weight port inside the hosel just before the inserted shaft.
  17. I look forward perhaps a chance (on course) to relief some peso from you in Hong Kong.
  18. I think putting weight at the hosel would increase the swing weight besides increasing the static weight of the club. However, the cpm would go down correspondingly due to heavier head now. I believe the extra weight at the 'hosel' would not help closing the club face at impact.
  19. New Price and a free brand new purple Nowon grip to match the purple color (mid section) of the Fiamme shaft.
  20. Then you should definitely get the comocomo heart charm ball marker to go with the headcover. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/ComoCome-2012-Heart-Charm-Lace-Cap-Marker-CM10HA0110
  21. I have this beautiful one time pulled Fiamme 50 R for sale. This shaft would be perfect for a smooth tempo slower swinger. Can play up to 46.25 to 46.5" depending on driver. Asking $350 $325 with free gift shipped anywhere via EMS.
  22. Premia (and not the V Spec) works best for young guys like us. While I do not own the 152 HT, I did have a chance to try it out a bit and found it to be too high and not enough roll for my liking.
  23. C, you are definitely on the right track with the Premia for you dad, particular if you were planning to pair it up with FE55. I play almost the same spec as him (or at least just as young) but unfortunately I wouldn't not be parting with my own Premia/FE combo anytime soon. The Premia is even softer and more forgiving than my ZR460 and EMS.
  24. Damn, I was seriously considering putting my set of Hiro on the BST. Now you guys might ask me for the sale receipt from Japan (quite a few years ago.) Bummer
  25. I have the 50 and 54 Vokey forged, both with the Rombax shaft, and just love it. Seriously thinking about getting the 46 with the same shaft to replace the my stock PW but not sure it would go the same distance as the my normal softer shaft PW.
