What is that bracket on the putter face? Any milling on the face?
  2. Now that you know how much a new Romaro head costs (see pro shop listings) , the price of this hi cor head is still only $350 shipped.
  3. Perhaps its infused with citronella oil like those plastic golf belts you find in Japan and Bangkok.
  4. Just googled it and the yacht was built in China for the Marden family in Hong Kong. I think they are heir to the Wheelock empire/fortune.

Is this the spada 50s and not the fiamme 50s?
  6. I have a Romaro Hi Cor (on the BST) ready to ship tomorrow.
  7. I think the best FW shaft would be shafts that designed specially for FW. C, you should take a serious look at Machline FW and also the GD SF line. I, too, have tried all the cut down driver shafts without too much success. If you want to go cheap, you should try the Geotech XDB 65FW. They are 50T even.
  8. I have hit all three Ryoma model and IMO, there is a reason for Premia's extra cost. The forgiveness and softness of the Premia exceeds that of the old Epon 460 or the EMB. If fitted to a suitable shaft, it could be one of the longest drivers.
  9. If your friend can spare the change, definitely go with the Ryoma Premia instead of the v spec or the regular D1. The V spec needs certain swing speed to make it work but the Premia is just so forgiving and long. For shaft, i would definitely consider the Fire Express 55 which is in mid 50 g and also the Crazy Royal Decoration R flex which is in the high 40g range. Also take a look at the new Basileus range and surely you would find a model to fit his swing. BTW, I am in his age range but I am just touring (as in sightseeing and hotspring) :-)

Stew, I totally agree with you on the feel of the Fiamme being an extremely good feeling shaft. I found that if I step on it too much (in my slower senior way), it would spin too much and run less than my FEX on the Premia. Wasn't too happy with the initial two games for distance compared with the FEX 55 but after a few more games with some adjustment, the distance now is comparable but better feel. I play the Fiamme 50R on a Premia 10.5 and its mid launch.
  11. Reduced now to $350 shipped anywhere via EMS.
  12. New price for the Ray V. Its now $720 for 9 heads shipped anywhere via EMS. For more info on this model, please refer to GTI. The heads are in very good condition except there are some small blemish/tiny dents on the back of the 9 iron (see new picture.)

I am so glad that this driver is beyond my ability or else I would be thinking about it like the rest of you.

From my experience with jdm, somehow they measure driver length differently. They tend to be 1/2 inch longer when measured locally at my fitters. So the 43.5" PRGR might just turns out to be 44". I too have a swing speed about 38/39 ms but can play both m37 or m40 although I do not own any prgr now. If you do not intent to change shaft, you should consider thenew onoff driver (red?). If the TM Glorie is available now, you should definitely consider the 550 in R flex.

I first ordered a 54 with Rombax 75 stiff from TSG and had to wait for over 2 months for this custom built. I was not disappointed with the result. Although the 54* has 10* bounce, it is most versatile even on the tightest of lies. With a lighter shaft, it is just a natural progression to my graphite irons. Like it so much, I picked up another 50* with the same shaft during my trip to Japan in February. The Titleist replaced my Sky Dream Jump and thats saying a lot.

You took the word right out of my mouth although I did not know there is such a word 'cordier'. PP is close to the Graphite Design cord grip I had years ago. Perhaps the GD were made by PP.
  17. Just email him at [email protected] Judging from what you put down on your first post, just get the new OnOff (Red) driver with R flex shaft would fit you well for a few years.
  18. I was at the Titleist booth early and put my name down so i can test clubs hour later. The new VG3 irons were not available for testing at all.
  19. The RF700 is China made as said on website.
  20. Just my attempt to be funny. I thought I have a good swing too until I saw myself on a video.
  21. Thats a very sensible thing to say but then again, if you have a ugly swing, you would make all of us duffers feel better. Lol
  22. The new VG3 irons were not available for us to demo but the driver was. I did not hit it as well as the Onoff driver and the new OnOff Red irons has actually very good feel. Perhaps the Daiwa shafts were just better.

Thats approx $1,360 for the set up which is pricy for Kamui. FE is, what around $500?
